Staff is very friendly and helpful. They treat visitors like guests in their home. They treat the residents like family.

The food is good. Staff treats my friend well. He has a studio and seems content. I am disappointed that no transportation to doctor and hospital appointments exists. Other places that I checked out did. I assumed all did. ??

Staff very friendly, but right now short staffed. Facility waiting for new activities director to start. Mom loves the games they do, especially Bingo. She usually loves the food that is served. She's commented on the beautiful Christmas lights they can see through the huge windows while they eat. Facility is open, bright & cheerful. She has also enjoyed a day trip planned for residents. Hopefully more of those when activities director starts.

Enjoyed the virtual tour. However they do not have wi-fi which is critical for my cardia recorder. The videos were very good but will not be in California until mid December to tour the facility. thank you

Friendly residents, relaxing atmosphere. They were not good at following care plans and would say they were going to do something and never do it. They do not get the same food as upstairs assisted living and many complain about the food constantly

It was very close to where my mom lives so it is easier for her to go see him and help. Mostly for location. I would recommend others. I do think the building needs some TLC, the carpeting in the common areas needs replaced. The rooms are updated some and that is nice. The staff are nice and take good care of our loved one. They were very helpful and moved quickly to place our loved one due to medical necessity for his wife.

I no longer live at Mountain Glen. I moved because I couldn't afford the rent. It was a good experience but not without it's faults.

Cascade is good when it comes to information, organization and overall affordability. What we are finding now is things that were promised or we were told were a perk don't seem to be at all. I would give the experience a 2/5 after we signed up. My dad went into the hospital for 5 weeks after signing up. When we finally got him moved in it was crickets from staff.

After the initial month or 2 they were late got to know him and what he needs and everything's been going great. Food is excellent and the staff is very friendly

The sales/marketing staff have been great. The kitchen and serving staff have been very good as well as the front desk staff and wellness team . I have had most trouble with getting response from maintenance. They did not have the bedroom closet door fully installed by the time mom moved in and it took weeks of asking before we got a response.

The food temperatures are often cold instead of hot. Other than that it is a fantastic facility I would highly recommend

Arbor village did a good job of taking care of my in-laws. When my mother in-law had to be moved from assisted living to the memory care building they really excelled. Food is good. Rooms kept clean. Activities are available for those that want it.

Sometimes it would take up to a week for them to remove stinky trash from her room; the ED & RN both said it was supposed to happen every day, but it did NOT. I eventually started setting bags if her garbage out in the main hall for pickup. It also seemed like they were careless when they cleaned her room & didn't seem to thoroughly clean her bathroom or vacuum every week. A few times they did wash her dishes, which was nice since it wasn't part of their scope of work. The public portions of the facility appeared adequately clean. I was very impressed with how caring, friendly, gentle, & compassionate the staff were with my Mom! Staff were very professional. Unfortunately they seemed to have a major issue with communication-particularly between shifts. Both the ED & the RN would state that certain things would happen, but it never quite got communicated to all staff that interfaced with Mom. Very friendly courteous, & helpful. I frequently had meals there with my Mom. Food seemed safe enough & edible, but usually quite bland & boring. Several times it was really good, but that was not the norm. They seemed to offer quite a few. Unfortunately Mom either was unable or did not typically participate in most of them. I would have considered it a much better value for the money if they'd had good, consistent communication between staff, removed her trash daily, cleaned her room more consistently & better, & had better meals. It really is a beautiful facility with very caring staff. I think perhaps their biggest challenge is cleaning & kitchen staff-I got the impression they had a fair amount of turn over. Overall, it was a good place for my Mom to live for Bout 7-8 months. Then she needed higher level of care & had to move out.

The ONLY comment at this time I could make of how it could have been a smoother transition is: there were many topics that were not discussed during the meetings of whether this facility would be a good fit, to the actual signing of the contract to move mom in. This is my first experience in moving a loved one to an assisted living environment and was not aware of all the topics that should have been discussed. I do feel, since they are in the profession, that more information could have been gone through before the issue arises. For instance medication, how levels of care could or can change and exactly what "assisted living help" looked like. It has been a huge learning experience but, again, the staff has been great!

The staff is very friendly & helpful. They are very good at sharing their observations on my mother's condition and are there to answer my questions and assist with solving any issue that arises.

We are very happy with Cascades. The ratio is 6 staff to one resident and they are very attentive to the residents. They call me when they notice my mom is off so we can be aware of any extra care needed.

Impressed by support services: transportation to appointments, shopping, outings; also impressed by fitness room, library. My sister says front desk staff always respectful and helpful.

Cascades staff is very attuned to state and federal regulations and conducts regular internal audits to ensure compliance. The billing process has a hiccups, and it takes a few cycles to make changes. Staffing in the memory care lodge isn't always optimal.
