Brookdale

I thought the facility was top notch. You could tell the staff genuinely cared about the residents and wanted to support them as much as possible in being independent, which I appreciated. The studios and the one bedrooms were both larger than I expected and the value of the amenities for the cost was very good. We really liked the place. The only major two drawbacks for us, which is why it won't work for us at this time is that transportation is not provided to the Durham VA or the Garner VA (my dad is a vet and his medical care is all through the VA system) and there wasn't an option to use the transportation to be dropped off to other places (other than already scheduled spots). There is also an extra cost for medical concierge services which is okay but it impacts the overall cost too. The place was really well kept up though and in a great location, wonderful activities, great inclusion of family for things.

When you enter the facility it feels like home. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the care given. The rooms are a little small but big enough to meet mom's needs. I chose this facility and had mom admitted there without any bad feelings.

Our Mom has been a resident for over one year. When she first entered her assistance needs were fairly high as she was recovering from a serious surgery. Although it took a little time to get things rolling smoothly and for her to recover, I can now say that everything is going very well. The administration has been transparent, been an advocate for her on several issues, always has an open door to concerns, taking care of any issues immediately. The caretakers have been warm and loving and many go above and beyond. They have helped our Mom improve and gain independence as she has healed and have cheered her along the way. Although no facility can be perfect I believe Brookdale has positively worked with us to resolve and improve any concerns and always in a pleasant manner. Our family looked at several facilities and we are very thankful that we chose Brookdale. They truly strive for it be a warm and family environment.

Keeping family members informed and feeling welcome. Multiple activities for both physical and mental stimulation. Homelike atmosphere. Coordination with Home Health Care is very good. Staff is available to listen to your needs.

My father in law moved to Colorado from Montana. He has a home and property in Montana, so we were worried about making the move. We didn't want him to be isolated. He loves Colorado and is taking advantage of everything that he can. He is very happy.

This was my second time using A Place for Mom for placing a family member. The first for my mother in 2018 and again this last year for my aging brother. Both experiences were wonderful from start to finish. My brother is currently at Brookdale and is doing great. I don’t know how I would have navigated either process without the help of A Place for Mom!

All that I answer the place is kind, there are activities every day, she is making friends, she has a community and the food is good. The place is clean and the price is reasonable.

Brookdale is one of the name we got when we call "A Place for Mom". My mom's apartment is in the Independent Living area. The staff is great! Very thoughtful and kind. We are very happy with Brookdale.

What we like the most about the community is the overall cleanliness, the professional executive staff and the supportive nursing and doctors. Yes, we would recommend Brookdale Lakeview Crossing to other families.

The staff are wonderful and so helpful anytime we have needed anything.

The staff is very caring and amazing, and it’s clear they truly care about the residents. . The only downside is that the rooms in memory care are small.

Great tour guide. Nice facility. Its not the fanciest, but it's small and cozy. Feels perfect for my mom.

My Mother became a resident in [date removed]. She had lost her husband and could not remain in her home. We chose Brookdale because my husband’s Mother was at this facility and we were very satisfied. We appreciate the staff and their efforts to make sure the residents are safe. From the Director to the nurses, to the activity Director everyone makes sure the residents have opportunity to be active. My Mother has embraced the staff and activities and that’s makes me feel I have made the best decision for my Mother.

I recently moved my inlaw into the memory care. Everyone helped make the move in as smooth as possible. I have received good communication from the staff and they helped my loved one adjust to their new home.

The short time I have been here, very satisfied. I would absolutely recommend to others.
