The staff, how clean the facility looks, and how the staff makes you feel like they actually care

The staff was excellent. They followed through with everything they said they would do. We were very pleased. We also felt the price was reasonable. I have already recommended it to my sister-in-law for her mother in law.

The staff was/is very friendly, professional, & always helpful to whatever your needs may be. The facility was keep very clean. The food was prepared fresh daily for patients. My wife was only there for 11 days. She had a breathing issue/ went to ER & passed 10 days later.

I'm super happy with everything. So, I rank everything with a five at this point. However, if you were to reach back out to me after six months, maybe I would have a better sense of things and what my folks think. Right now I rate my folks a 2 to 3 hahaha because they believe they are independent, living people and they really are not. So, my wife and I are urging them to take advantage of assisted living options, i.e., medicine management and laundry services. I also want them to start taking advantage of the activities that are available. When you move in as independent, there are two meals per day that are included and I think sometimes my dad is getting my mom to make him these grand breakfasts in their room. She's able to do that because they moved in independent status, which means they start with an oven. The cool thing is that they won't have to move when they shift to assisted care status. They simply start bringing services that they opt into directly to them in their room. So the facility and everything is really great, but I give my folks a poor grade for not opting into stuff so far. The struggle is real ha ha ha, but they are in the right place and my blood pressure is much lower because of it.

When I entered i found the staff friendly and engaging, especially since I arrived an hour ahead of time. The premise is clean and some residents were conversing and others were reading. I like the layout because it was roomy and yet not overwhelming. The rooms were spacious and light. They schedule many entertaining activities and provide therapy for those that need it. I brought my friend, the prospective resident, with me. We had lunch. with Sandi as we talked about the premises. The food was delicious. My friend really liked it. This is the place we selected!

[name removed] at Brookdale in Uptown gave me the tour of this very nice facility. She was very kind and answered all my questions. Above and beyond my expectations.

[Name Removed] at Brookdale was very pleasant, knowledgeable and kind with respect with making this move for my mother. The staff I have met are very nice and friendly. They have helped to make my mother's move easier on me. My mother's apartment is very nice and clean.[Name removed] the activities director tries to encourage my mother to get involved with the other residents. The food is ok. I haven't heard any one rave about it.

Brookdale has been a wonderful decision for my sister [name removed]. Please warn families they charge $[removed]/ month to give daily meds. It's "outrageous" also the highest rate in all of Jefferson County KY. Families need to be forewarned so they can be prepared. I'm still in shock and probably would have made a different choice, based on that cost. However, my sister is adjusting well and she is happy. My family is working with her doctor to reduce her meds for 5 pills/day to only 2.

Small facility that felt like home. I would recommend to others.

So far I would rate every aspect a 5. The staff has been patient & helpful during my move. Things in the apartment have all been refreshed or replaced with new. The staff & residents are very friendly. The level of care toward my well-being has been great. I'm enjoying the food & the variety of choices. There is no lack for activities & once I'm more settled I hope to enjoy more of them. Value wise; it's proving less expensive than being in my own home.

[Name removed] was a wonderful hostess. She gave us a tour and spent time sharing information and answering our questions. We felt at home. Great experience.

We were immediately struck by the feeling of homeyness at Brookdale Montrose. [Name Removed]was fantastic with lots of enthusiasm and knowledge. Residents all seemed happy and social and staff seemed to know everyone’s name. Beautiful grounds with paved walkways and a pond. Weekly housekeeping ((including bedding laundry) included.

This is a small facility, which makes it feel more like home. I met one resident that was very happy to be there and showed me many things she accomplished in her past, she would make a great spokesperson for the facility. My tour was through and my Slow walking was taken into consideration during the tour. Everyone was very helpful and answered all my questions. I was also sent home with additional information about the facility. Yes I would definitely recommend you tour this facility if you want the family experience for your loved one

A beautiful facility for those with the resources to afford it. Seems like a wonderful community with caring staff. Not a place for anyone with any limits on their financial standing.

Nicest and largest studios and alcove size rooms for the best price I saw across 5 different facilities/communities in San Antonio. Really good layout so that it’s not confusing to navigate. Great courtyard. Great community vibe. Lots of opportunities for socializing. Really nice and professional staff.

[name removed] was so very helpful. The facility was beautiful. I liked Brookdale very much. After arriving here to have eyes on dad I am in a difficult situation. Dad is not at 101 ready to relinquish any authority to me to make any decisions for him. I have to agree he is borderline in need of a facility. With that said I would choose Brookdale with no hesitations.

[name removed] and the staff were warm, caring and practical. Later at the hospital performing an evaluation, [name removed] made a very favorable impression. Would be comfortable placing a loved one here.

I appreciate the time staff took to explain the facility and services. The assistance of the staff to help get the assessment for admit done quickly and helping establish local third-party services.

The staff are very attentive, compassionate and professional. They go above and beyond to provide excellent care and support services for the patients and we are confident we made the right choice for dementia care for our family member. We also greatly appreciate A Place for Mom agency providing guidance and assistance with placement quickly.
