Bonaventure

The food is very good. They have a wide range of activites, such as bingo,crafts, and entertainment. The apartments have a lot of a space. We picked this community because, they were able to accomodate my loved one, who needed a high level of assistance. It's a very friendly, and welcoming atmosphere. The tour experience was very good. I would recommend to other familses. The care staff is great but sometimes there is a shortage and they can't meet the needs of the residents. They probably need more care staff, although the care staff there is great.

The facility itself is very nice. There are a lot of activities, but people just don't get out of their cabins to go do them. Bonaventure is at least making the effort to offer them. However, they have had a lot of management issues. We've gone through three different executive directors in the last four months. The entire kitchen and serving staff have resigned several times. So there is a staffing issue to be aware of. That's the biggest concern I have here on my end. They're having a hard time keeping staff, and I think it has to do with how upper management treats them.

The facility is beautiful and clean. It definitely has a home feel about it. I think the the admin staff has seen a lot of turn over. It can be hard to reach them. I know follow through with care plans could be better especially with new residents. I would have appreciated a few weekly them monthly check ins about how things were going. Instead of us having to find out why some parts of the care plan weren't being followed.

I thought Bonaventure of Salem was wonderful. The staff were VERY friendly, and very helpful in helping us make a decision. As much care as our loved one needed, it would not have been a good placement for her. But I was very impressed with the facility.

What we think Bonaventure of Tigard could improve one would be following Dr. orders, putting support hose on correctly, giving alternative call necklace when the other is charging. They could check their call system more often to be sure it is working. Also they could not put a jug of diet soda or ice tea in the middle of the table. Many forget that they are avoiding caffeine or soda. Also not to serve meals in rooms in styrofoam, it would be nice if they could use real dishes.

Friendly residents and staff. They could improve on quality of the food and more staff understaffed.

My loved one was in memory care. They could have a much lower patient to caregiver ratio and provide more attention. My loved one had very little autonomy and that made it feel like a prison to them. They should have access to food, water, and their room. Being locked out of the room, not having free access to water, and being locked out of your private space is just not Ok.

Things are getting better. My loved one is getting meds on a regular basis. The doctor is pleased with the improvement. I would like them to keep up with daily care and housekeepings. The friendliness depends on the person. Based off feedback from other friends/family members, the people who provide my loveds one, meds were very nice. My loved one goes to the dining area on a reg basis. They have activities, and a list of what's going on.

We picked this community because they had a very good working relationship with hospice onsite. It's a very nice facility in terms of appearance and upgrading. They can improve on staffing. I would recommend to other families.

My loved one was there a short period of time. We picked this community because of the location. Also, the sales manage was so intuned, with everhing that was going on, and went out of her way to make sure we had the right resources. She was very attentive and fantastic. I was dissapointed with the upkeep /cleaniless of my loved ones room.

My family member is not the easiest person to deal with, so there have been some difficulties. The staff communicate well with us. But I think their nursing staff could improve. There have been some challenges with getting tests done and medications administered. The assisting staff seems to be good - willing to help, and nice.

Based on our tour, I thought Woodland Retirement was fine. They just didn’t have the 2-bedroom 2-bathroom availability we were looking for.

The staff have been very friendly They did try to work with my parents to accommodate them in any way possible. The only issue is the meals could be better and served quicker, although they do seem to be trying harder now. Other than that, it's a nice facility. And I would recommend it to others.

Medford's Executive Director,[name removed], held my hand through the whole process, which entailed patience while I was petitioning for guardianship/conservator. She also informed us about a Bridge Loan to help pay for assisted living until we were able to sell their home. My questions are always welcome, and response time is good. Both my aunt and uncle are now in memory care, and the head of that department is also incredible!

We really like the Bonaventure at Keizer Station community itself and all the amenities they have, however at times our loved one does not get the services that we pay for and our provided due to staffing shortages. We do understand though that this is a universal issue amongst many communities. We do really like that anytime we have questions or concerns we are able to go to the upper management and they are very accessible.

The staff is very nice and friendly. They are also accommodating to the residents and their families. The community offers different activities like bingo, trivia, paint and sips, they do socials like celebrations for the veterans Oktoberfest and they have scavengers hunt and so many more activities for the residents to do to keep busy.

This has been a good experience for my loved one and family. The caregivers are very good. The value for the money was the most reasonable for meals and care; however, there are add-ons by the community. This is very clean community and always smell good. The meals are good as well. There are three meals a day served to the residents. Lunch is the biggest meal of the day and is usually a hot meal. Then dinner is a smaller hot meal. There are sometimes sandwiches or chicken pot pie served. The community always provides dessert with dinner as well.

This facility is really good. My parents have really settled in and are starting to feel like it's home. They're becoming comfortable here and that makes my family comfortable and tells us that they're being well cared for. The facility is, however, struggling with staffing shortages. Just like many others in the industry are. That has caused some issues, but we're working through them (ie: timely bathing and assistance, etc). The staff is friendly and has really taken the time to get to know my parents. They offer activities, but my parents haven't chosen to participate in them very much yet. Communication with the family is good and they're easy to get ahold of when we reach out. The front desk staff is excellent. They have tons of information available and are always helpful with tracking people down when we call and need to speak with someone specific. The food is good quality and variety. They've recently changed chefs and I haven't tried it since then, but have heard all good things. I would recommend them to friends and family.

I chose Bonaventure of Salmon Creek because of the quality of the caregivers. I think the most important thing about the whole facility is the way the caregivers treat the residents in the memory care facility. I would definitely recommend them to others looking.

I've made some good friends here and finally feeling settled in. Personally, I've had no problems or complaints. I'm very pleased with my apartment. Staffing has been an issue, turnover has been high. But I know that's everywhere right now, in every industry. The food is good quality and variety. They offer a daily special, which is a well balanced meal. Housekeeping overall is really good. The only concern I have is the laundry room, the floor needs cleaned. I would recommend them to family and friends.
