A lot of turnover in nursing staff. One nurse that was less friendly and helpful left facility but then returned. General staff turnover was high. New director not as friendly and helpful as previous.

I enjoyed my time there overall. The community had a lot of structure and plenty of activities to choose from, but it was also easy to do your own thing. For example, if I didn’t feel like going to exercise class, I could simply walk a few laps around the building, which I often did. Meals were fairly convenient. I usually had breakfast in my room with tea, while lunch was served at 11:30 and dinner at 4:30. Dinner felt a bit early for me, but it did give people time afterward to relax and socialize. If the main meal didn’t appeal to you, there were always other options like burgers, hot dogs, soup and salad, baked potatoes, grilled cheese, or sandwiches. Those of us who still drove could also go out to eat if we wanted something different. Socially, there were nice opportunities to connect with people. They held two happy hours each week, which were enjoyable, and residents often gathered there to chat. I sometimes kept a bottle of scotch or wine in my room for evenings when I wanted something quiet instead. The apartments are on the expensive side, but my one-bedroom unit had plenty of space. Each floor had two washers and dryers, and I rarely had any trouble finding time to do laundry, although I still prefer having one in my own home. One thing I always appreciated was how safe the community felt. There was also shopping nearby, along with a post office, which made errands easy. For residents who didn’t drive, there was a bus available for medical appointments and monthly outings. There were also many amenities and activities available, including an activity room, a lovely library near the happy hour area, bowling, and a puzzle room where you could work on puzzles there or take them back to your apartment. They also had a beautiful grand piano, and someone would perform twice a week, which was always a treat. Overall, it offered a safe environment with plenty of activities and opportunities to socialize while still allowing residents the freedom to keep their own routines.

5 for all the above! We've had a great experience with Bonaventure of Puyallup! And my mom seems to be having a good experience. If she can afford to live there beyond this recovery period, she would like to stay there indefinitely.

This place was really good they had lots of activity and a movie theater, also happy hour every day!!the staff were kind and very caring, my husband was the problem, he would not join in and just sat in his room all day, he was 100/ disabled veteran, so very hard to find any place for him , big man, twice my size he was 84 I was 90 and it got too much for me to do, after 6 days I brought him home because he was being destructive, not the home which was very nice, I wouldn't mind going in there myself!!Husband died in [date removed] call me if you need more.

Five on all! They have been phenomenal and wish we had found them earlier! About a week after they moved in my mother-in-law passed away. They were so kind and everybody has been amazing. I've had experience with other facilities and this, by far was the best! So much for them to do and the staff has been amazing.

Bonaventure has been great. There has been some recent admin changes, but they have made these transitions pretty unnoticeable. The staff are kind, courteous, and very helpful. I have been working closely with them, making sure my dad gets the care he needs. The facility is clean and comfortable. The food is good most of the time, but my dad does complain on occasion that things are a little on the cool side. Overall, after two months, all is well at Bonaventure Vancouver!

It's beautiful! The people are kind and caring and responsive to people's needs. There are many activities in which we can be involved. The food is great. It is a little pricey, but I do believe we get what we pay for. People come from all over the state to live here. I'm very happy here.

My overall experience would be a 5. The apartments vary in size from studio, one bedroom, and two bedrooms. Most have washer/dryers and more are a in the hallway. The price depends on the square footage of your unit.

Bonaventure of Medford has been a great spot for mom. The staff is all real friendly and very helpful. They followed the doctors orders as far as prescriptions to medications go. They also report to the doctor about once a week so when we meet once a month we can talk to the doctor about everything that he's been told. That helps us a lot.

The three facilities we toured were Bonaventure of Puyallup, [community removed], and [community removed]. All in Washington State. The process of touring was similar at each. [community removed] was way off target for us, but Bonaventure and [community removed] were similar in cost, amenities, activities, and apt design/layout. The final decision for us came down to the age of Bonaventure (5 yrs) and proximity to our eldest daughter and our grandchildren. We signed on in August but made our move on [date removed]. We have been pleased by staff and residents and activities and accommodations.

My mom was recently a resident of Bonaventure. They treated her wonderfully. The staff was attentive, the other residents were friendly. The staff always had time to answer our questions and would accommodate changes as needed. Would definitely recommend Bonaventure for others who are considering it.

What struck me the most about the facility was the friendly staff had lunch there.Several times in the food is really , really good. The caregivers, no mother's name by the first name and they really care about their people that they're taking care of during the day.I appreciate that to make sure mother's taking care of until she's no longer here. We thoroughly enjoy having mother at this facility because of the activities that she participates in from playing cards going to movies cocktail hour. It's gotten her out of her comfort zone and she's enjoying it going to exercise.Even so, we appreciate it very much. What spring creek has to offer for mother.
