I really appreciate our part-time nurse there. Geri. she is very involved and helpful. The reason we went there is there is a bigger community of people for her to do things with. We didn't know about the hidden fees, which would be nice to know ahead of time. the staff treats mom great, and everyone loves [name removed] her dog. They help mom take care of her.

They could come up with some more creative fun games for the residence that involve a little bit of physical movement, even for the ones in wheelchairs. There are so many options of games for everybody to be involved. Most of the staff is very professional,friendly and kind to all the residents. There have been a few staff problems with them talking to my loved one about family members that was totally inappropriate and unprofessional. (i.e. Giving ideas how to escape.) Times that family should have been notified about an incident, but weren't. Talking to the director resolved the issues though. As long as everybody remembers that the family still needs to be very actively involved in the assisted-living process, everything is fantastic! Well, I could add that because it is a smaller facility, less than 60 residence, single-story building,built in a square so that people don't get lost within the facility. It is a very quaint facility with a strong feeling of togetherness and family. No place is ever perfect, even our loved ones own home is not perfect. My own home would not be perfect. In a perfect world my mom would not have dementia. I do feel that this is as close to perfect of all the facilities in our area for my mom's individual needs.

I have been impressed by atmosphere the staff creates. They try hard to keep the residents socialized and not bored.

Mom was happy there despite her dementia. The people were very loving and treated her well and she gained new friends. The food was excellent. They surroundings were beautiful and the apartment spacious. The staff was very caring. Costs were reasonible. Activities dir was great.

We have had a pleasant experience so far. My sister has more physical challenges than most of the residents but the staff continue to work with my sister to make her feel welcome and included as much as she is willing and able to participate.

It has been a real blessing. The staff are wonderful. And the directors have walked alongside me every step of the way.

He was only there 4 days before he died, but in that short time they took excellent care of him & also watched out for mom. They are still checking on us in September & he died in June. Staff very attentive to his needs & the the family needs as well. Food excellent.

Overall it is positive, very caring manager & staff home feeling vibe. It is clean but sometimes there is a urine smell. 98 percent friendly always have a couple that hearts aren't in it Quality of care is good but improvements could be made - timeliness of responding to residents buttons, due to staffing?? There is good food - would like to see more fresh seasonal fruits & vegetables! Activities are good but could use some new games!! Loving outside entertainers brought in & church services! It is expensive but probably in the so called normal range!! Caring for my mom & her being happy is priceless.

5 all across the board. So far it's been great. Highly recommend the Bickford of Carmel facility to other families. The staff is going out of their way to help with the occupants. And my dad loves the dog

Very friendly staff who cares about relative as if they are their own. I don't know about food other than Dad complained about it. I think add seasoning. I would recommend them to others looking.

We made our choice for my mom‘s placement with a lot of care. We looked at a lot of places before we chose The Rivers at Maryland Farms. They are in the middle of a major renovation and have done everything possible to minimize the impact to the residences. Every single staff member has treated my mom with care and kindness and dignity. There’s been a couple of standouts as well. They have continued to improve the activities for the MC group and sometimes include them with the active living group. Without exception, every member of the staff I have interacted with has known who my mom is. I am so happy with our choice and highly recommend to other families.

A place for mom took my info and matched us and made appointments with 8 facilities within 5-10 minutes of us. They were great choices and we picked the best one. The Rivers of Maryland Farms has a staff that is incredibly patient, caring and kind. They take great care of my mom, updating and being sure she is taken care of. It’s newly remodeled and beautiful. Large front porch when the weather is nice and lots of activities. The residents there are kind and really look out for each other. We think it’s a great community!

Everyone is so kind, caring and helpful. Need to remember the meds are ordered and dispensed as the doctor wrote the order Mom was used to taking them on her schedule. Bickford follows doc orders. Once we figured that out it was all all ok. The staff is great but so busy. Understaffed for a bit. So requests aren't always taken care of in a timely manner. Emergencies are! Also now have an activity person. So more scheduled activities on a regular basis. Good variety.

the facility is small allowing me as a visitor to know all the staff and vice versa. They're very caring and communicated any issues or concerns. The room sizes are sufficient. We have not felt crowded during our family visits.

I had my mom living at Bickford of Battle Creek. Very nice place, staff was friendly and informative. I would recommend this place again and again. My mom who is diabetic did not feel that they prepared food specifically for her needs.

From the start, the staff has been fantastic. They are heads and shoulders above most facilities because they understand PTSD and dementia and train their staff appropriately. They have a restaurant style menu and an executive chef. The facility is beautiful and we have only had positive interactions.

Great experience, clean, welcoming environment, and a helpful staff that actually cares! I was touring different facilities and this one really stood out. Quite refreshing after some other places I've been to find one that does it right!!!

Hope you understand that. Our family member has gotten terminally ill much faster than we thought would happen. Care is good but just could be improved some for the costs that are involved. Otherwise happy so far.. but Hospice is involved now so hopefully Bickford care will continue!

When it comes to the activities they could add a bit more to it. The value for cost gets a 4 but they will work with budget as much as they are allowed to do. My mom had the best experience the short time she was there. They staff genuinely cared for her. I honestly can not say enough good things about the people that work there.

We are so thankful that you guided us to ‘ Bickford of Davenport ‘. I wish we would have known about this wonderful place sooner. I can’t say enough about the compassionate and Knowledgeable staff. Thank you so much! I’m so thankful we called ‘ A Place For Mom’ to guide us through our difficult decision. I would highly recommend everyone talk to ‘ A Place for Mom’ before making any decisions for their loved ones .
