I’m disappointed my mom doesn’t qualify to stay in such a beautiful institution because I have been looking at places that accept Medicaid that have memory care and I have found it very sad.Bickford looks more like home and feels like a great place for her.

I love this facility! If it is within your budget I highly recommend it. The staff was lovely and the residents all sang their praises.

We were truly grateful for our time At Bickford. [name removed] and her entire staff are the definition of going above and beyond for each of the residents. It's a small facility but truly big on heart and caring, and I say that not trying to sound cliché. But as a concerned child from far away, I was always so relieved with knowing that the staff at Bickford were really looking out for my mother and her husband, the way that I would. I could not have been happier with the care that they received, the communication from the entire Bickford staff, and the individualized hands-on care that was provided to my mother and her husband every single day. I honestly cannot recommend Bickford high enough!

Visited to start our search for the pending placement of my 98 yr old Mom. [name removed] did a real nice job with information and your along with giving us food for thought as to help make best decision for Mom. We liked Bickford.

I was impressed right away by the level of activity in the main lobby/activity area. I noticed nurses or aides wandering among the residents and speaking to them, offering help if needed. The facilities were beautiful and clean. The medical services available are impressive. Overall I was very pleased with my tour and with [name removed] knowledge of the facilities and the residents. She called all of those we saw by name which I liked. If I were to give it a rating this facility deserves a 10/10.

On May 11, 2026, I visited Bickford Senior Living in Fredericksburg VA as I was researching the facility on behalf of a very hesitant parent. I was greeted by Whitney. Whitney was extremely helpful in answering all of my questions regarding the community, costs, etc. The staff was very friendly & the facility was very well maintained.

Bickford has been amazing ! The assessment for my grandmother had a personal feeling and genuine evaluation. The facility is well kept, clean, and the staff is inviting and kind. Bickford has a budget friendly approach and offers a military discount. We are excited to choose Bickford for my grandmother and are looking forward to the thriving and independence she will gain.

This is a great place. The community is very clean and welcoming. I will refer people here. The staff are very friendly and great They care for the residents like their own family. I have been in this Branch and every time I am here I feel at home. The food is amazing as well.

We were very happy with Bickford during the short time Mom was there before she passed away. The staff was always kind, compassionate, and attentive, and it gave our family comfort knowing she was being well cared for. They treated Mom with dignity and genuine care, which meant so much to us during a very difficult time. After Mom passed, they were also incredibly supportive and compassionate with me and my siblings. We truly appreciated the kindness and comfort they showed our family throughout the entire experience.

It is a well managed home with loving care. The team is very very attentive. The food was very nice. They had a nice variety of activities. The home was always very clean. I would highly recommend.

5 stars all the way for everything except the food, since I never actually ate there or saw what they offer. From my experience, though, everything else was excellent. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the place felt well-run and comfortable. Most importantly, the people there really stood out—they all seemed like genuinely good, friendly people.

My visit was excellent and very informative. The lady that explained the amenatives and conducted the tour was was very kind and understanding and so helpful.

Beautifully kept. Residents seemed contented. Saw medium sized apts. Although very small, they had windows, walk-in shower, and room enough to keep items of use close at hand.

Everything was super great with Bickford. The staff was caring and my sister felt very involved and included which made me feel good because she normally was pretty bashful so that was a huge milestone for her. She made some nice friends and felt she was communicated with thru and thru. Very happy all the way. The only complaint was when she had food delivered to her room, it was often cold, but that was the absolute only complaint.

Each room is cleaned once a week. I watched the girl "clean" my room- she needs to change the mop water. The dining and shared spaces are clean, they vacuum non stop. The staff were super friendly. I was there 2 weeks and the staff was constantly changing, they were frequently short handed. The director ([Name removed]) recently quit. It was small portions and cheap. But that's probably appropriate for most the residents. I'm 54 and was there for respite, so the meals were a 3. They keep residents busy if they want to participate. And they just hired a new activity director while I was there, and she had fun ideas. Its a small facility, so everyone knows each other - that can be a good or bad thing, depending on what kind of person you are. I saw a resident move out because he couldn't get along with another man, and its hard to avoid each other in that size facility. They all eat in the same room. There is only one lounge area with a tv, etc. BUT because the facility is small, every staff member knows everyone's name and greets them with their name every time. It showed they cared, and you weren't just another resident. They try and encourage and include the residents in all activities. They literally go door to door to check if you "want to join bingo" or if you "are coming to dinner or want a tray in your room?"

The staff has been incredibly attentive, and the room is both comfortable and very clean. The food is excellent, and there are plenty of activities to keep residents engaged-although adding more musical entertainment would be a nice touch. The level of care has been outstanding across the board, from the doctor and nurses to all of the therapists. Everyone works together seamlessly, which truly shows in the quality of care provided. My mom has improved so much in just a few weeks, far beyond how she was when she first arrived. It's clear she's in great hands, and I'm very grateful for the support and dedication of the entire team.

The tour and interaction with i believe[name removed] was exceptional. Every thing was well explained. I would recommend the Bickford Assisted living to anyone that needs a good facility. It was small compared to many. But for myself and my husband that is perfect. He has Alzheimer's and myself anxiety. So to many people overwhelm us both. The staff and clients overall seemed very nice. The facility was wheelchair operational and accessible. The apartment were small but nice. It's family feeling sold me. What was nice The facility and the benefits of being there sold me. I put down a deposit and hopeful we will be there soon.

The facility looks to ran very well. The staff treat the residents with respect and kindness. The Cost is typical for a memory care unit. Only drawback is it is a private payment facility. Once money dries up, you will need to find medicad facility. They have activities to help with Alzheimer's and dementia. I would give them a look if you want to stay in Quincy.

I and friend visited Bickford of Portage on behalf of my cousin [Name removed]. [Names Removed] introduced themselves and they gave a brief overview of the facility and provided us handouts of the types of rooms and activities. Tyler then took us on a tour. The activities they offer are very creative to instill interest in the residents The rooms are adequate in size and functionality. The base costs fell upper-mid-range, compared to four other facilities in Portage. We had no idea of what the costs would be for health supervision until [Name Removed] had an assessment. We are continuing our research and will let [Name removed] know our next step.
