I think they did a great job with mom. They just need more activities to keep them more occupied. The staff were very kind. Food needs to be better

Positive: Facility appearance out and inside is a 5 Employees 5 Cleanliness 5 Moms room /apartment 5 I have not been to many other places but price seemed high I was told at the beginning (close to 3 years ago) that everything is out of pocket until personal funds are exhausted. When that time came I was told that will not be the case and I had to move mom out and go though the Medicaid application process to find a different facility that accepts Medicaid assistance That was the only bad thing about Whisper Woods. Mom liked the facility and so did I. Uprooting her after her being familiar was not pleasant and had I been informed that at the inception, I would have first placed her in a place where she could have just stayed while I did the payment transfer .

Nice place. Dad is happy. Transportation to doctor appointments is great. They fix things when broken. Management is on top of things. I would definitely recommend.

The staff is very caring and helpful. I would recommend them to others who are searching for a place for their loved one.

[name removed] was professional, knowledgeable and helpful. The facility was nice. Assisted living areas are nicer than memory care which is probably the norm. Unfortunately a facility like this will not work for my family member at this time.

The initial settling in was difficult, at the time they were in the middle of a facelift on the property and some staff issues. I also was adjusting to having to give up control and how I would handle Mom's care. But after a few weeks we were very happy with the whole situation. The staff was amazing and I loved the way that they treated and spoke to Mom. When Mom had a medical emergency and we were out of state they were very helpful getting her settled back in her room in a very timely manner. With also keeping us informed. During Mom's final days the staff at Benchmark were so supportive and comforting. We felt that the food could have been better. Chef inspired for should be served warm and farm fresh. We admittedly have high expectations about food and food quality because we both love cooking.

The facility was very clean with fresh smell. The layout of the wings were very nice and structured according to the resident needs. I would have liked the pay structure to be explain a bit more to us instead of receiving paper information. Overall I thought the Arbors was very nice and if they had a private room would highly consider placing my mom there.

What we like the most abut the community is that The Day to day staff was outstanding. They were accommodating to my dad. Yes, we would recommend Benchmark at Alexandria to other families based on the experience

What I like the most about the community is that the food here is quite good. All the staff take time to say hello and make you feel welcome. I enjoy the activities. [names removed] make sure everyone has fun. All staff have bright smiles.

The room size is nice, good space. They worked so hard to help us get him moved in as fast as possible. Which was better than any other place was willing to do. The staff has been helpful and very nice. Dad says all the helps are very nice and pleasant. Dad's room is always clean, and the common spaces as well as ways look good. I have received no complaints about the food from dad. I have seen him happily eat up two meals, totally cleaning his plate.

What we like the most about the community is the staff, the facility itself and the activities that are provided. Yes, we would recommend Benchmark at Ridgefield Crossings community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

Our experience with Branches overall has been very positive. This is largely because the people who work there genuinely care about the residents. Every time I visit my Mom, I feel very good about the choice to go to Branches. Moving has been a big adjustment for my Mom. She lived in the same house for nearly 70 years. Also the stress of my Dad passing has influenced how she asks for / does not ask for help at Branches

I visited Benchmark and was very impressed with the building. Everything is new and very well decorated. Staff are friendly and very helpful. It's also in a great location. It's a fairly new facility and the needs of my relative include close monitoring and limited access or freedom to travel outside the building. I had a concern about the open-door policy. So, even though it wasn't a good fit for my needs, I think it would be a wonderful place for independent living.

The staff is terrific, and the room sizes seem just about right. My mom is in a studio and it's a good balance between space and cost. The food is decent, could be more creative but I don't know another place where it might be uniquely better. My mom does not typically engage much in common activities but she has been to some at this community which means they must be doing a good job gently encouraging her, which I appreciate.

The staff is very nice and friendly and helpful--the facility is nice and clean--the location is really nice--easy to get onto major routes and to hospitals--my major concern is that it takes too long for the staff to respond when someone calls for assistance---more than 10 minutes in a lot of cases---the food is very good and available from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM---all in all a nice place for someone like myself who is independent at this time.

Staff were terrific at getting to know my mother-in-law and her visitors. They provided consistency as she needed it more and more. Her apartments (she moved to the Memory Care unit) were well kept, the facilities team did a great job making her 2nd apartment look just like her first one.

Able to text staff on any issues. Due to severe vision issues from macular degeneration the staff of CNA were reluctant to help things such as with dialing numbers or help with assisting in finding items she could not see that dropped. Or ensuring she has everything she needs at night such as water, remote for tv, light on, know where the slippers are, etc. They say it is not their job but yet the person I dealt with said they should do that. Food was great there.

I liked the outdoor view and scenery, and it was in a good location for us to be able to visit often. Its a lovely place. Its a bit tough with a lot of the employees not speaking great English, but I understand that's common in this industry. They are great with all the different activities they do and mini field trips they do.

The staff really seemed to care for each resident and knew them by name. Would certainly recommend this facility

Yes would recommend checking Benchmark and comparing to other assisted livings . Among the many positives we liked the layout of the Plymouth facility. It was not an overwhelming space for mom to learn to navigate. Staff very warm and welcoming and a great activity director keeps them engaged.
