The staff at Willow Crossing are all wonderful. They must have a fantastic screening process because everyone we have interacted with has been kind, caring, and incredibly helpful. They truly go above and beyond to make the residents and their families feel supported. My father doesn't participate in many activities, but that is his choice—not because there is a lack of offerings. There are plenty of activities available for residents to enjoy. The facility is also very clean and well maintained. I do feel the food could be better, although that is simply my personal opinion, and I'm not sure my father would agree! I especially want to share a recent experience that really demonstrated how wonderful the staff is. We had planned my father's birthday party at my home for this Sunday, but with the storm coming into our area, I reached out to Willow Crossing to see if there might be a room available where we could celebrate instead. I spoke with [name removed], the Activities Director, and she was absolutely amazing. They literally moved things around so that we could use a wonderful room to host my father's birthday party. I couldn't have been happier with their helpfulness and willingness to accommodate us. We are incredibly grateful to [name removed] and the entire team for helping make his birthday special. It took us about a year and a half of looking before we found a place where we felt comfortable having my father live. I can honestly say we made the right choice. My father tells me all the time how happy he is there, and that means everything to our family. We are very grateful for the care, kindness, and support he receives at Willow Crossing.

Overall, it was a good experience as far as the facility and staff. It is clean and bright. All rooms have big windows for sunlight. The dining room had glass doors that opened to a small but very nice outdoor space. The staff is friendly and engaging with residents. The kitchen is accommodating to specific needs. Unfortunately, my father was not able to stay. Made it 2 weeks. He could not acclimate, stubbornness on his part. He fell twice because he would not use a walker. The 2nd time he was sent to the ED. His dementia progressed, and he is in a nursing home now.

Overall: Very, very expensive, but a very nice place. Food: Excellent, nice variety. Actiivities: Excellent, with a wide of options, from in-house to outdoor trips. But, again, this place is for the super-rich only, and that also means a lot of snobs.

Everything about the place is amazing. From my initial tour with [name removed], I knew it was the place for my mother in law. Since it is a full memory care facility, all staff members are trained and continue training for dementia. The aids are caring and supportive of the residents. They will coax them to leave their room to participate in the events from flower bouquets, arts & crafts, luau, ice cream social or just engagement activities. However, if they are tired or not feeling well, they can remain in their room and relax. The rooms are fairly large. Easily fits a bed, dresser, nightstand and chair with extra room to move around.

Exactly what my Dad needed! Great place. Food, staff, facilities make it a one stop shop for those with memory conditions.

It was a very detailed and comprehensive virtual tour. A lot of rooms for a variety of activities. Nice size rooms and a beautiful court yard if you wanted to spend some time outdoors.

It is a bit expensive but it's top of the line in every way. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They are always willing to help Dad in anyway to make his experience better. The food is good and they offer him many options for variety as well as the regular entree. They encourage as regular schedule in the dining room so the residents interact more. There are many activities offered with outings a few times a week if wanted. He is able to go with us out in the car for church or shopping as well. The apartment is beautiful and modern. The size is big for one man He has a walk in shower and handicapped access. He has helpers to help with toilet needs, dressing and going to activities. They have a rule that a helper has to be there within 5 minutes. He has housekeeping on Monday, a shower on Wednesday and Saturday. His trash is taken everyday and anytime it is smelly. Laundry day is Weds. They do well on all those things.

Welcoming staff…made us feel right at home. We feel confident in making this our choice for our loved one.

The staff are super friendly and always make us feel welcome! Our loved one is just going as a day participant, so no opinion on the apartments but the food is good.

The people working there are really nice and the care has been great. The activities go throughout the day and seem engaging. Food has been great. They always make sure she has her bacon and eggs for breakfast. 2 choices for every meal and they do offer her a sandwich or soup if she doesn't like the choices. Place is very clean. They take care of her laundry. She is in a one person room. Size works, she has a bed, dresser and table. I'm extremely happy we chose it. I would recommend them to others who are searching for care for their loved one.

Overall experience 5 stars. Staff were polite and helpful. Care was great, more than I could have done. Activities seemed appropriate though not all residents participated. Rooms were good, with a lot of closet space. Lighting was a tad weak. We were able to bring in furniture and lamps for a taste of home. I would recommend the community to others.

The overall experience with A Place for Mom while trying to find a place for Dad has been absolutely phenomenal! Guiding us with the facilities that would be ideal and assisting my Sister to schedule tours around her complex schedule was a huge benefit. Selecting The Arbors was so easy once she attended her tour, and allowing her to take photos for my brother and I was immensely helpful. When [name removed] and team were able to provide the assistance with coordinating his move from Rehab relieved a LOT of pressure due to the logistics that we were panicking about. We are collectively so extremely pleased with the caliber of care that Dad now has, and the communication we receive from the Care team is A++ The relief that we feel now that he is at The Arbors is priceless after navigating his condition by ourselves for almost 2 years.

The staff are kind and competent. Had to leave her apartment shortly after moving in to go to the locked memory care unit, and they made the transition as easy as possible. Highly recommended.

They have very welcoming staff and residents. The room size is small, but adequate. Yes, I would recommend Capitol Ridge.

Everything was great for the short time my father was there. 5s. Everyone was so helpful. My father's stay was brief but it was the right place for him. We would recommend River Ridge community to other families.

The village has been extremely accommodating to my family. Their nurses and sales folks and all of their staff has been extremely kind to my parents and very helpful to us. Sadly, my mother moved in, but only lived for a few weeks. She had had a bad fall in late May that put her in the hospital from home. and she was discharged to village so that she could have around the care access to help. My father loves all of the nurses who have spent extra time visiting him and making sure he's OK. I feel that this is an absolutely beautiful community with caring staff and a beautiful atmosphere. The food is fantastic and the residents all seem very happy. My parents long-term aid was no longer able to be with them because East Haven is outside of the area that she can drive to. For that reason, now that my mother is gone, I am moving my father back to Madison, so that his aids from the last three years are able to attend to him again. He will be staying at [community removed]in Madison. I thank you for all of your support when I did not know what to do or where to go for help with where my parents needed to go. Although it is a short stay at the village the only reason for moving is so that my father could be close to his long-term aid now that my mother has passed. They are a top-notch facility and I have no complaints whatsoever.

It was a great learning experience! [name removed] conducted a tour of the facility showing me a variety of residence selections, dining and social areas, balconies along with views of the grounds and balconies. She talked about services and finances then took the time to listen to my concerns and answer my questions. I came home feeling positive and comfortable about moving forward into a new and safe lifestyle. An unexpected gift was a package containing a freshly baked bread that the Chef gave me as a thank you for considering Benchmark.

The staff was very attentive; the facility was very clean and organized; the rooms were a good size; overall the facility is run very well. A very good place for a loved one.
