Overall it was a good place and the staff was very good and caring. The place was very clean. At the beginning, my mother fell out of bed almost every night and it took them awhile to find a good solution. Quite often we would find her in the public spaces asleep in her wheelchair and there was no supervision. It was very expensive and perhaps I expected too much.

Overall experience for my Dad (who is in the memory care wing is very good). All staff are very friendly and helpful in addressing issues that come up. The facility has activities throughout the day for residents to keep them engaged, such as drawing and word games. There is a snack time at 3:00 p.m., there are movies to watch in the afternoon and evenings. During the fall/spring seasons, there are trips to local museums. Last year during the summer, my Dad attended a baseball game at the College of the Holy Cross. Hourly checks are conducted while residents are sleeping. The facility is kept very clean. Dining rooms are nice. My Dad likes the food that is offered. There is a salon on the premises. Additionally, you can sign up for on the premises medical, dental and podiatric services. I have done this for my Dad and am very satisfied.

Administrative and office staff do not always communicate to the people providing care in the Memory Unit. Yes, we would recommend Benchmark at South Farms to other families based on the experience so far.

Basically very good staff, building, and programming. Cost is high, but not higher than other of the better places. Occasionally there are glitches in communication, but overall I'm happy with our decision.

Everyone is welcoming- lots of activities, clean, food ok- nice friendly staff- transition can be tough- they can help you with that! wry nice place!

All good except short staffed. Rugs should be cleaned more often in rooms. [name removed], my mom and sister [name removed] have been residents.

I would recommend Benchmark to anyone. Let's just say my wife was adamant that she didn't want to be in assisted living, and the staff certainly heard about it. Benchmark was understanding and patient with her, and after 6 weeks there, my wife has adjusted pretty well. I'm very pleased with Benchmark and with A Place for Mom in helping place my wife after she was rejected by the initial recommended facility.

I would give them a 4. The staff is very caring, the facility is clean - like many places they were struggling with enough staff. Overall this is a place I would recommend.

Overall, highly satisfied, but it is expensive although in line with other facilities. Facility makes a great first impression. Management was very accommodating. I got good feedback from a number of sources. Memory Care unit is very good. Almost all the staff is kind and caring, but not all.

Atrium feels very homey as opposed to institutional. The administration is friendly and responsive. The meals are well prepared with a good variety. Lunch is usually a larger meal with a lighter dinner. Activities are available morning and afternoon and the staff makes an effort to get the residents to participate.

Everyone has been very nice, helpful & supportive. The food is ok but I hear they are getting a new chef. Room sizes and amenities offered are very nice.

I was told it would cost no more than [fee removed] per month and then they tried telling me after a few months that my mom was the highest level of care. She Did Not need a hoyer lift and was an assist of 1. I loved the activities/music for her and the nursing staff was excellent but then they charged me [fee removed] in [date removed] so I needed to move my mom out of the atrium to locate a memory care that provided safety and interaction at a more reasonable cost

While it needs some decorative updating such as new art , photos, furniture , it is bright , clean and cheerful. Everyone is very friendly . We were told the new furniture will be here by summer. , the administrative staff is efficient and engaging. It is a pleasant welcoming place to live!!

They have very flexible visiting hours and that has been so helpful. It's a smaller facility so I feel my Mom receives a good amount of attention. It is very expensive, but it is a very convenient location.

I don't think the food is very healthy - my father loved vegetables and he hardly got any. Before we moved in we were told he could get creamed spinach every day, but that wasn't how it actually works. Also it wasn't very easy for him to get outside, so he was almost always inside, and he liked fresh air. I also didn't like the Styrofoam and plastic utensils when he ate in his room, which was a lot.

They told me at the beginning that certain things were included but then when my mom got there we were told no. If they are already local to it, then yes we would recommend the community to other families.

The ladies that work in the dining area are very caring and get to know the residents. I like that they watch out for them and if Mom doesn't show up for a meal, they check on her. They seem to be doing renovations and are working on a family portal to keep us informed on activities. They have nurses on duty in case of illness. They provide transportation to residents. I wish there was an easier way to communicate with them from a distance when Mom has raised concerns. She has difficulty communicating due to early stage dementia and mentions things but I don't have a way to confirm. Laundry service and cleaning service doesn't seem that good. Overall she is thriving there better than living on her own so I am happy with that.

For the most part very sweet and helpful. Reasonable cost is what stuck out over other places.

It's a fortune but nothing to compare it to. Thank god for long term care. Notes: food really is awful Staff: too much mgmt turnover. Most are very pleasant, dedicated and helpful. Right now there is one nasty receptionist who doesn't represent the residence well. Resident: mom is way above most people's cognitive level. It's hard for her.

Always check in to make sure your loved one is getting the care they need. Especially going at random times. Get to know the staff Ask questions Stay on top of their care reports Question anything that does seem right. You are their voice
