Benchmark Senior Living

She is doing fine at Sunrise of Stamford. Mom seems to like it there. The intake process was good. Everyone was nice and well organized. She likes the food. The assistance she is getting is good. She is interacting and socializing well. It is as good as could be expected. So far so good.

The Benchmark Senior Living at Waltham Crossings has a very friendly and outgoing atmosphere. And they are very caring they approach you when you walk in and they talk to you about your loved one. Overall a genuinely fantastic place. Angelo the business manager has been doing a wonderful job.

I just visited the facility, so I'm not real familiar with it. When I met with the staff they were very friendly and very knowledgeable. I had no complaints, it was very well organized and well set-up for people to remember. I liked it a lot, it was just the price that was awfully expensive.

The Arbors of Bedford is outstanding. The staff is very friendly and courteous. They are very helpful. The location is outstanding. The level of care is very clear. The communication with the staff has been very, very good. I would recommend the Arbors of Bedford to anyone. It found this to be the best choice in our area. I can't rate the activities yet because we haven't been there long enough. (Not Applicable)

The staff has been a very good at reaching out. They sent me photos of my mom. They always update me on her well being. I'm very happy with how things are going. Everyone has been very friendly and accommodating. They do a good job on taking care of my mother. The care services are excellent. I'm very pleased with The Atrium at Veronica Drive. It's been a really good experience. I'm glad my mother is comfortable.

The staff and the care in the memory care unit is wonderful. Mom is diagnosed with dementia with behavioral problems. They take very good care of her and she likes the staff. The doctor I chose in Stamford is Dr. Wang and she has been very supportive during this whole ordeal.

Overall we're very pleased with how things turned out at Benchmark Senior Living. It is a nice looking, clean, well kept community, and I thought the aide staff does and excellent job looking after the people who live here.I will say that I would like to see the actual nurses participate more in the care, the aides are constantly present and attentive but the nurses seem to get involved much less frequently. But overall it is a great place for care, and I highly recommend it.

The care my mother is receiving is as good or better than the skilled nursing facility she was previously residing. The aides always have a smile or a kind word no matter how many times they are called to my mom's apartment. She has to be moved by hoyer lift or very carefully from bed to wheelchair always a challenge and the aides are amazing. That alone means everything, she doesn't feel like a burden anymore, they leave her with dignity and that can mean everything at this point in her life with her limitations.

We made a spur of the moment visit because we were in the area. We did not have an appointment, and expected to pick up some literature and think things over. We were pleasantly surprised to have the Executive Director sit down with us to answer questions and provide a tour for our very reluctant elderly brother who must move from his birth home to assisted living because he simply needs additional care and oversight. It is going to cost a bit more than his current "at home" situation, but it's hard to put a price on piece of mind for my sister and I who live 2,000 miles away. We know there are a couple of less expensive options for our brother, but he's very familiar with the area, very reluctant to move and he received a warm and compassionate welcome upon our visit. We plan to continue to pursue the option of relocating our brother to Kensington.

I toured here when I was looking for options. It looked good. I would want to live there myself if I could I didn't see anything I didn't like.

Maureen Cunningham with a Place for Mom was so helpful in discussing the various options available. She is your MVP. Once directed to multiple options we ended up with CP and Scott Savoie, who was then very helpful in quickly getting me the information and pricing I needed to make a decision. Doing this long distance (a brother in Niatic area to view facility) was challenging, but Scott made it easy. The transition was prompt and handled well by your entire team. As of this writing everything seems to be going well.

This is where we are looking, and I think when the time comes this is where we will go. Its really clean, and they seem to have really good care. I can't really rate the activities.

We needed a place for round the clock care of my wife during a recent business trip. Blenheim-Newport provided the right level of service for her with support for medications, meals and physical therapy. We would use their services again.

This was an excelllent choice cfor a place myh mom could reside and be well cared for. My mother is very pleased to have a very friendly staff being there as friends when needed. to place my mother. The area surrounding the community is very affluent . So this place is very safe, and there are so many ammentities provided to them. sHE ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT THERE.staff care nurse

They continue to do a great job while keeping all the basics intact. It's winter and boredom is the rule at home. Indoor activities at Billerica Crossings are no less difficult. I've observed the tremendous effort to keep the interest in the Harbor unit where dementia is a problem. The family lunches work and I observe the care is great. They know how my wife likes her coffee. She choses her meal. the staff knows me by name. Smiles are abundant.

There were several reasons that I chose Bay Square for my Mom. One was it's cleanliness and openness with lots of glass to see into the different common areas. Also, the size of the facility was perfect. Not so many that it was overwhelming to my Mom and she would retreat to her room, but enough for her to be able to choose her friends as she wished. Another reason was the ability of the staffing to be adjusted to the needs of the day. My Mom is evaluated every 30 days and if her needs change dramatically she is evaluated before that and her care plan is adjusted. That way I don't pay for what she doesn't need or she can receive increased care during a situational decline. The food is great and the staff are very caring. One day I had planned to take my Mom to a medical appointment in Scarborough. The day before the appointment I realized that I had a time constraint that would not allow me to get her there on time. I was pleased when even on such short notice they cheerfully agreed to take her there in their van and I would meet her there as soon as I could make it. Their communication with families is excellent and I never feel left out of the loop. I know how to contact each key person there and always get a quick, professional response. They have made a sudden life change from independent living to assisted living an easy transition. I would encourage anyone to look into Bay Square as a next phase of life choice and enjoy all the fun and enrichment activities that encourage socialization and a positive outlook on senior life.

Originally, we had my mother at home with "caregivers," one Mon - Thur. & the other Fri - Sun. How well they kept the house and prepared her meals is "debatable," but they were totally unequipped to handle my Mom's Alzheimer's disease. She would call my husband and I late in the evening hysterically crying and saying she wanted to be with us right then and there. We also found that some very expensive, personal items of hers were missing; since Alzheimer's patients tend to hide things, there is no proof that my mother did not lose them somewhere but we don't believe that is what happened to them. In our heart of hearts we feel quite sure they were stolen. It was initially hard for my mother to adjust to Harbor 1 at The Village (I would say it took her a good three weeks before she even started feeling comfortable there), but I am happy to say she has now been at The Village for just about a year and I cannot stop singing the wonderful praises for The village at South Farms! Their caring staff is the first thing that comes to my mind; you can see the "genuine love" they have for the members who live there. It was also a little difficult to adjust to "a routine" of how and when to visit my Mom because The Village has activities for their residents to do each hour of the day. I feel I have now become an excepted "outside member" who involves herself in the seniors' activities on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and again Saturday in the early afternoon. I have gotten to personally know (and really care for) some of the other patients in both Harbor 1 & 2. The food that is served is excellent and my mother has even made a few "friends" at The Village; she had no more friends when she was living at home because all of them (including my Dad) had passed away. When she was at home with care, her routine was getting up, having a light breakfast and perhaps watching a bit of TV...and then going back to bed until it was time to get up for dinner. Her routine now is one of involvement with the other residents, joining in on activities that stimulate her brain and make her think. You can see the pride in her face when she does answer something correctly. In closing, I would highly recommend The Village at South Farms for anyone who has a loved one with Alzheimer's. The peace of mind that you receive knowing that she is always with "professional caregivers" and a loving staff is worth so much. Your own life becomes much better knowing she is being so well taken care of.

Angels At Home Healthcare has been active in the Greystone community for approximately 5 years. We provide in home nursing and therapy to the residents. We find the staff to be helpful, informed and professional while making their community feel at home and comfortable. The facility is clean and well cared for. The patients we have cared for in Greystone have been well adjusted and happy. Our thanks go out to the staff for helping our patients age in a safe and comfortable environment!!!

They're doing a great job at Benchmark Senior Living! It's a nice looking, clean community, and they really take great care of their residents! The staff are all very friendly, and the whole community just has a positive upbeat attitude. They really take the time to get to know each of their residents here, and it's a very family friendly environment!

Whenever I have an issue or concern it is dealt with respectfully and professionally. Moving my mother to assisted living has been no easy feat and it will not be without its continual issues. At Middlebrook, I know that my mother is safe, well-fed, engaged and ultimately happy even though she won't admit it!
