Every staff member at Bay Square is fully engaged and always willing to lend a hand in any situation. They are kind, thoughtful, and patient at all times. Most importantly, from the leadership staff to the CNAs, they seem to be able to deliver care in a way that is positive and effective without being intrusive. Every resident is assigned a day to expect housekeeping to tidy their apartment, as well as a day that their laundry is collected and washed. Additionally, a laundry room is provided for those who wish to do their own laundry. I have been most impressed by the level of communication exhibited. There is an app that I use to see my mother’s daily schedule, and that same schedule is delivered to each resident’s room at 9 am each day, as well as being posted around the facility. (It’s like being on a cruise ship!) The executive director sends emails to update us on pertinent information such as a positive COVID test in the facility. The nursing/PT/OT staff also communicates so I know when my mother’s situation changes or when a particular need arises of which I should be aware. The leadership is also very open to meeting or to receiving calls or emails from family members and responding to such in a timely manner. We moved my mother to Maine from South Carolina. When we arrived, the leadership staff was literally waiting in front of the building to greet us. My mother was so happy to be welcomed into the community in such a loving and caring way. Such a beautiful first impression! The meals are first rate! They are served in a lovely dining room, restaurant style. The “specials of the day” for each meal are posted daily, but there are many delicious choices beyond the specials. My mother is a finicky eater, but she has nothing but praise for the food here! Also, the dining room manager meets with the residents to solicit their input, which is much appreciated. I cannot say enough good things about Bay Square! Not only is the facility aesthetically pleasing from the exterior New England “ski lodge look” to the well-appointed interior, it is obvious that staff members put the needs of the residents first. They take time to learn their names, as well as the names of family members. They treat them with dignity and respect and make them feel special. They are true professionals, always keeping the health and safety of residents in mind. The team works collaboratively to provide seamless care and service to all of the residents, which makes the entire community function in an exemplary way. My mother hasn’t been this happy or engaged in a long time, and that gives me peace of mind, as well. Without reservation, I would highly recommend Bay Square!

Excellent staff. Friendly, helpful and attentive. The transition was real hard for my mom, she had trouble grasping facts about her memory and assisted living. Staff interaction, interview process was awesome! Price was high to me, however, I hadn't looked into these facilities and had no idea that they all are pricey. I would totally recommend this facility to others.

If you want a great, caring place to send a loved one, Forge Hill is the place to go. Second to none. [name removed] is a great manager, and it's clear how much he truly cares about the residents. All of the nurses and medical staff, the CNA's, the maintenance staff etc., are all great, caring people. My mother had MS and other health issues which severely limited her mobility, and never once did she have a bed sore nor complain about the staff. As a matter of fact, she loved them all. And she was hard to please. When she passed, there were so many staff that were heartbroken, as they really cared about her. None of the negative things you hear about Assisted Living facilities apply to Forge Hill. I recommend it to anyone and will continue to sing their praises and refer them.

Overall, it's been a great experience. My dad seems to be very happy there. The most appealing part is the being in a New England home feel. Not a nursing home environment. Dad is just on a vacation!

The facility/staff respond timely and efficiently to questions and inquiries. They welcome family, hands on involvement, for example it's to assist loved ones at meal or bedtime. I would highly recommend.

My father went to the live there when his wife passed in September at 98 years of age, with severe Alzheimer’s. He was still in good physical form & they set him up with PT and OT. I opted for one on one from a separate company for additional support as he was a little unsteady (98 years old!) Food excellent, care wonderful, staff loved him! The residents are happy. The place is full of natural light & clean kudos to maintenance. He was happy….went on bus rides, sang along with the entertainment, and generally enjoyed his stay. Unfortunately, the Alzheimer’s disease caught up to him and he passed 12/28. Again, I can’t speak highly enough of the care not only for him but for my family as he met the end of life. As with all elderly, there are falls and illness in all places but they work diligently as a team to protect their residents. Communication with the family also key. My family and I are so appreciative that Leominster Crossing was available and able to place him in their care.

I would highly recommend this facility. The staff are very caring and kind. The folks that will be interacting and caring for your loved ones are crucial to making the transition to a retirement home as painless as possible for all. I have dined with my Mother on several occasions and the food is very good. The waitress makes sure that my Mom has a little bowl of fruit at her table once a day because she likes this. A sweet personal touch.

I felt that during the decision process Benchmark in Hamden was the cleanest, and has the best staff that could handle my parents complex situation. They have been amazing through this journey.

My husband gets better care at the Arbors than I was able to give him at home, and it gives me peace of mind knowing that he's safe and watched over 24/7. The people, from reception to the nurses and aides, call him by name and know where he is at any time of day. There are eyes on him wherever he chooses to roam. They have made him feel at home. They know his likes and dislikes and treat him with respect and tenderness. They feed him, clean him, dress him, and put him to bed at the end of the day. He knows they care and responds to them accordingly. He even gets his nails trimmed and a haircut every couple of weeks. The building is clean and easy on the eyes. I got a warm fuzzy feeling the first time I walked in and was greeted by Maggie, the friendly house canine. The residents enjoy having a pet around, while the care and feeding is done by administrative staff, and she follows them wherever they go. And the food is good!

We are very happy with the care my mom is receiving at the Arbors. The staff members are wonderful. They are warm and so caring in their interactions with my mom and other residents. We see them hugging them and trying to make them laugh all the time. It makes us feel so much better knowing she is in a place where she is looked at as an individual, shown compassion and respect, and included in so many activities and opportunities for socializing. We knew the minute we stepped foot into the Arbors that it was the right place for us!

Overall fantastic! Staff very accommodating to our family needs! Very happy with the cleanliness! The only blip was dining. My family member needed low sodium food, but there very few choices. Cost comparable to other facilities. Based on the experience we have had so far, we have already recommend this community to a friend and will continue to do so!

I love the independence and the fact that I can be friends with everyone. I have a lot of friends here. Everyone is kind, friendly and talkative. I couldn't ask for better.

When it comes to the meals and dining service, my mother is a fussy eater. I have not eaten there so I am going with a 4. Best part is you can order the day ahead and various foods are always available. Our loved one does not participate in the activities so we cannot comment. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend the Blenheim-Newport community to others.

They were very helpful during the move in process. They are very accommodating. We highly recommend The Village At Willow Crossings to others.

Everything that we have experience so far has been very good. The staff are awesome. The cost obviously goes up the more services that you need which can get expensive. But compared to other facilities that I looked up it is less. I would definitely recommend the facility. I was greatfeul to be able to work with A Place for Mom.

My mother really likes living there and I would highly recommend it to anyone who asks. Everyone is incredibly friendly, the place is really nice and we feel mom is safe there. Even though my mom really liked the food, we find it interesting that she has told us sometimes they run out of things as simple as a baked potato. There have been a few other things, baked potato struck me funny to run out of. I'm sure not to be wasteful of food they only make so many and first ones at the dining room get dibs. While I commented and only gave a 4, my mother loves the food there! My brother and I find it amusing when she tells us when they run out of something and she may not be the one asking someone she sits with.
