Benchmark Senior Living

My mom was a resident at Benchmark Senior Living at Hamden for a short period of time and, although it was a short time, I could not have asked for a more accommodating, professional and caring facility. I just couldn't, that's all I can say. They were absolutely amazing. [Name removed], who was the intake/sales person, was absolutely wonderful. It was a really great experience.

We have had a great experience with Branches. We had to move my mom there in a very short period if time and the staff was very helpful. The room size is adequate and the facility is very modern and clean.

I considered all the staff angels. My brother was a handful and would become argumentative with everyone. He was treated with dignity and kindness. I highly recommend Arbors of Bedford to other families.

It's early yet and my mom is having a tough time adjusting, but so far I am happy with the Atrium. Staff seems very involved and interacting with residents from the top down. [name removed] dressed as a Leprechaun on St. Patrick's day and entertained the residents during lunch.

Staff are very friendly and kind - supportive and knowledgeable. Room sizes are very large. They have sufficient amenities offered for residents.

For Arbor Terrace I would give 5 or higher rating for each category- they are a superbly run organization. All staff are very outgoing, ready to help both the clients and their families in all matters

The staff is extremely responsive, friendly and helpful. My loved one was here for 2 full years and he was given the care, the love and dignity that he deserved. I would highly recommend this place to anybody looking for somebody with memory loss.

It is a safe caring community. Very Clean. Attentive staff. But Very expensive though & wish they took insurance. They had many activities for all levels of residents. & kept in touch with us regarding my Mother in law.

Staff is really nice. They look out for my mother. Like if she misses a meal, they check in on her. Oh the appt transportation is a pain. It's only available 2 days a week half day. Have to get approval ahead of time. And the they drive you but do not assist into building. When it's a large medical bldg this is difficult for someone in a wheelchair.

The staff is kind, competent and friendly. The facility is very clean. Moving in was quick and easy. The meals are very high quality served by very nice wait staff.

The staff is friendly. [name removed] even visited my mother when she broke her hip and was in rehab. The facility is lovely it is up to date and looks like a hotel. My mother didn't want an antique older style. Really liked that her room was on the first floor close to the dining room. When you walk in there are always people around. Residents conversing in the lobby and dining room area even after meal time and my mother usually would stay for awhile after meals to talk. Seemed like a lot of the other places were quiet and residents must stay in their rooms a lot. I've eaten the food and it's just okay and it seems that on the weekends it's harder to get help when my mother rings her necklace button.

Recommend in a heartbeat. Staff loves my husband and have never fallen short in their care. Expensive but allows you to concentrate on loving and not worry about anything else.

They did a great job welcoming my mother in law and integrating her into the community. Even as she became more forgetful and needed more assistance with her mobility they continued to include her in activities that she really enjoyed. She was a very social person and they kept her engaged throughout. She also loved the food!

I love it here more than you can imagine. The staff is really good and friendly, the food is good and I have a life again. I have one of the largest apartments with a back door and patio which is great because I have a little dog so I can just let her out and watch her from inside. And I love the porch in good weather.

My aunt lived at Ashland Farm for four years before her passing. She engaged in the numerous activities offered by the activities director, [name removed], and was given the best care possible. The staff were welcoming, helpful and diligent meeting all of her needs. I cannot say enough about this Assisted Living facility. I give this facility a 5 star rating.

Mom's transition to Assisted living/ Memory Care at Benchmark Split Rock was facilitated by the kind and caring attitude of the staff. Although she objected to the move, these professionals used their skills to consistently and gently find ways to help her with the transition. We could not have been more pleased with the both the facility and staff at this facility.

There was not good coordination for staff with a lot I of turnover even in administration. Bright and airy Nicely decorated Very nice dining Staff and supervisors did not communicate well We Chose them because they're willing to accept him as a hoya lift patient needing a lot of care.

My loved one has adjusted well. Hiccups are expected when doing such a big move, but the move in was great. Staff has been very attentive and friendly. She attends many of the events, but says she is bored at times. Food, understandably, is a hit or miss. Can't please everyone. We would recommend this facility to others.

I think, like all facilities, there isn't enough staff especially in a memory unit when a lot of patients are in wheelchairs and need more assistance. Move in was easy, food is good. I am happy they bring in hospice to help with end of life care. I would recommend this facility to others.
