Belmont Village

We chose Belmont Village because her other facility was saying they could not handle her care and we were in a huge time crunch and they had availability at the time that we needed it. They have been good with communication, the send out newsletters and emails and they do respond back timely if I ever reach out to them. It is very expensive but I would recommend them to others looking.

Single building, 3 floors. Two “Neighborhood” options, probable for Mom. Neighborhood residents eat in their group-dining rooms are repurposed activity rooms-institutional, not homey like main dining room. Did not like locks on entry door to unit. Fire drill during tour; saw no evacuations-including tour leader or myself. Separate rooms; able to bring furniture. Bath/showers are dated...showers have seat entry but ledge at bottom so no access for chair... small. Glass door ratings not great but are for country-wide... employees were not smiling. Seems well maintained. Good menu, all residents same.

This community is clean, well maintained and everyone is very professional. The rooms are a little on the smaller side, but overall they offer everything a person would need. Our loved one seemed to enjoy the food they serve.

I would recommend this community to others. The people at Belmont are very friendly. The turnaround for getting calls back about our loved one is good. The room is great for my loved one. The furniture we had to provide for our loved one's room.

I would want others to know that we chose Belmont Village based off of the location. They were also willing to work with us on price and the staff members were very friendly. The care started out very good at first, and then it diminished and I had to remind them to do things like laundry, cleaning, etc. They say they check on your loved ones every 2 hours, but that was not always the case. If he said he did not want to eat, they would not insist he eat and he would skip out on meals. There were good things about this facility and other things about it that were not so great. I would recommend to more independent individuals.

After reviewing just the initial information, I believe this to be the best fit. Location is great, approach and size appear to be good. Couples can stay together. Of course, there's still much to learn.

I think the food could be higher quality. I like the staff and they are very kind to me. Especially [names removed] and many more.

I would tell my friends that it is very a caring and friendly place. It is as safe as you can keep it in this time. The room is clean with more square footage than other communities. Our loved one enjoys the food.

It is related to the university so they offer more lectures from professors, The food was average and they offered a variety. The community was lacking color design, the amenities were okay but not great. I would recommend the community for others to consider looking at.

Overall, it is a good place. There needs to be a lot of follow up by the family regarding their loved one. We started out trusting this community, and on the front end they were very good with communicating what they planned to offer. We selected the services, but that weren't followed through at all. We chose this community because it was the most like their lifestyle they was used to, the food was exquisite, the staff were very friendly,and the building was like a country club, however, it was not what we expected. When she was transferred to the locked memory care, we saw a decline and we were very frustrated.

The community grounds were always well manicured and they did some remodeling which really refreshed the inside. The staff was all very welcoming and greeted my mother by name. Pretty much anyone in the kitchen, to those managing the community went out of their way to make my mom feel welcome. The activities were fantastic. My mom did not enjoy the food at all, however.

I think the staff at Belmont Village went over and above to help me move in. With mobility issues that were quite concerning to me, they assured me they could and would help me, and they DID! With no family or friends able to assist me, they came to my home and helped me transfer to the wheel chair and provided transportation from my home to Belmont Village. And everyone was so friendly and helpful. Most of the PALs are awesome, and they do all they can to make you comfortable. I am so thankful they accepted me in this facility and are taking care of me. Also the therapy program here is great and I love the therapists as well. It is a good place to be when care is needed.

Very nice place for a loved one. However, it was out of our price range.

Really good people--terribly, terribly expensive unless you are very rich--- If I were, I might choose to stay here myself;

I am not the primary contact with Belmont Village, but visit weekly. I find the staff friendly & helpful, the facility is beautiful & the food is quite good! I have little to no knowledge of medical or therapy practices.

My 93 yr old mother fell down and fractured her hip. After the Operation she was never the same. I had to move her to Belmont because she Could no longer swallow very well and her mental and medical conditions changed. When they did the first assessment she still made sense. Shortly after moving in , it was obvious she needed to be in memory care which is now her final spot. She is. under the care of hospice as well as the staff at the Belmont. I am now satisfied. Basically, my mother was losing it and I felt that she wasn’t really being looked after as much as I felt she needed it. When hospice came in and more or less made appropriate improvements I felt satisfied. I am only giving four stars because even though they try there is a lack of communication between the nurses, the pals who do all the hands on work and the head staff. It is lovely and if you have a loved one that isn’t so close to death, I would look into moving someone into the Belmont because I’m sure it would be a great placement.

This facility was undergoing renovation so one had to imagine some improvements were being made. I had lunch there, which was very good and plentiful. The rooms were not too small, but they were rooms that were occupied.You could get an idea of what it might look like with your own things. The staff was very polite and friendly. It was a comfortable feeling. The location is further north of where I presently live and would be farther for visitors to come see me.

Met with [name removed]. Loved the feel of the place. Clean. Residents looked well cared for and happy. They offer an actual restaurant style menu for meals. Looked at two different room options , activity room, PT room. The residents are encouraged to get up and out and go to activities. They have a bus and a full time drivers for off the cuff trips like church, even 30 miles away. They offer Respite care. Full time doc and nurses 24-7. They also have what they call PALS which is a worker (or several) constantly there watching and available to assist. The $ is sort of high but somewhat negotiable.

Way too expensive for us, but a lovely resort like facility. Management seem caring but staff did not seem attentive or friendly. Restaurant style dining is too much for every meal.

We really liked this facility and the people were warm and welcoming. It is a bit dated, however, very homey and comfortable for the generation that is there. The residents seemed very happy. We did not choose it because it was too far away from family/friends.
