Belmont Village

The community grounds were always well manicured and they did some remodeling which really refreshed the inside. The staff was all very welcoming and greeted my mother by name. Pretty much anyone in the kitchen, to those managing the community went out of their way to make my mom feel welcome. The activities were fantastic. My mom did not enjoy the food at all, however.

I think the staff at Belmont Village went over and above to help me move in. With mobility issues that were quite concerning to me, they assured me they could and would help me, and they DID! With no family or friends able to assist me, they came to my home and helped me transfer to the wheel chair and provided transportation from my home to Belmont Village. And everyone was so friendly and helpful. Most of the PALs are awesome, and they do all they can to make you comfortable. I am so thankful they accepted me in this facility and are taking care of me. Also the therapy program here is great and I love the therapists as well. It is a good place to be when care is needed.

Very nice place for a loved one. However, it was out of our price range.

I am not the primary contact with Belmont Village, but visit weekly. I find the staff friendly & helpful, the facility is beautiful & the food is quite good! I have little to no knowledge of medical or therapy practices.

My 93 yr old mother fell down and fractured her hip. After the Operation she was never the same. I had to move her to Belmont because she Could no longer swallow very well and her mental and medical conditions changed. When they did the first assessment she still made sense. Shortly after moving in , it was obvious she needed to be in memory care which is now her final spot. She is. under the care of hospice as well as the staff at the Belmont. I am now satisfied. Basically, my mother was losing it and I felt that she wasn’t really being looked after as much as I felt she needed it. When hospice came in and more or less made appropriate improvements I felt satisfied. I am only giving four stars because even though they try there is a lack of communication between the nurses, the pals who do all the hands on work and the head staff. It is lovely and if you have a loved one that isn’t so close to death, I would look into moving someone into the Belmont because I’m sure it would be a great placement.

This facility was undergoing renovation so one had to imagine some improvements were being made. I had lunch there, which was very good and plentiful. The rooms were not too small, but they were rooms that were occupied.You could get an idea of what it might look like with your own things. The staff was very polite and friendly. It was a comfortable feeling. The location is further north of where I presently live and would be farther for visitors to come see me.

Met with [name removed]. Loved the feel of the place. Clean. Residents looked well cared for and happy. They offer an actual restaurant style menu for meals. Looked at two different room options , activity room, PT room. The residents are encouraged to get up and out and go to activities. They have a bus and a full time drivers for off the cuff trips like church, even 30 miles away. They offer Respite care. Full time doc and nurses 24-7. They also have what they call PALS which is a worker (or several) constantly there watching and available to assist. The $ is sort of high but somewhat negotiable.

Way too expensive for us, but a lovely resort like facility. Management seem caring but staff did not seem attentive or friendly. Restaurant style dining is too much for every meal.

We really liked this facility and the people were warm and welcoming. It is a bit dated, however, very homey and comfortable for the generation that is there. The residents seemed very happy. We did not choose it because it was too far away from family/friends.

We enjoyed our tour and lunch. This is a contender. Considering and talking about it with other family members, Do like their approach.

Rooms were decent size but dark but the closest to home. The facility was ok, outdoor space ok. The pricing was a little high and the do not allow outside companions for walks, etc.

This facility offers good services and care, however, no independent living options. It is not a good fit at this time.

FAR TOO EXPENSIVE but looked excellent. The rates with all the add-ons for care (if your loved one needs daily bathing, dressing, etc...) can pull you into the 12-14K range. This is not in our budget whatsoever. I would agree with another reviewer that they do falsely tell you what is available for their rooms, fees, that you must be UCLA affiliated (like either a grad, employee) and that only one room is available. Then, you'll get a call in the following week telling you another room just opened up when in fact they already had several... as if sales was the most important and not your loved one. Their one-time move in fee is 25K or at least it was in 2016. That being said, it is a very, very nice place with great activities and food.

I was here for 14 days for respite care and it was great. The food was wonderful and 3x a day was good too. They tried to engage me to join in on the daily activities. The caregivers were nice and friendly. I loved the PT I went 2x a day. The housekeeping did a good job at keeping it clean. The only thing I would have to ask or change is they expected you to use your towels more than once before getting more clean ones. If that is a policy just tell people in advance. I would recommend this community.

Wonderful "feel" in this community. The Sales Director could not have been more cordial and genuine. All staff members greeted me enthusiastically and seemed genuinely joyful about their work. Beautiful setting, well-maintained building, excellent menus, abundant activities for my active independent senior parents. This will be among my top picks to review with Mom & Dad.

This community is nice and very tastefully decorated. The staff is very nice and very helpful a little on the young side though. They come in and clean weekly and do her linens also. The food is very good and you have many options to choose from they always have a vegetable with fish or a different type of meat. Mom enjoys all the daily activities like the Tai Chi and movie nights. Then they will do exercises and go to the gym. There is a nice walking path that you can do laps. There are several secured indoor courtyards throughout the place. I would recommend this community.

Very nice facility. Has a lot going on. Higher priced facility; but has a lot that I'm looking for.

Belmont Village West Lake Hills is a big and nice community. It looked like they provided a lot of wonderful activities. The people there were very friendly and nice. It was just extremely expensive.
