Belmont Village

It is not as depressing as a full on skilled nursing. It is still categorized as an assisted living but can handle a 2 person assist. It was a great hybrid between the two categories. Staff is caring and do the best they can. Glad we found this place. It was a good fit for my mother.

From the Executive Director on down, everyone seems caring and focused on resident welfare. I would like to see more/different activities, but I've been told that prior attempts were not well attended, so it may be due to the specific resident population. They seem open to suggestions. they evaluate resident for assistance needs and charge accordingly...but my wife has rarely called for "needed" help. We're charged regardless, for her theoretical needs. They certainly do try to be helpful, and fair, but they have rules that limit it. I am impressed with the caring attitude from management down.

I would definitely recommend Belmont Village Encino due to the caring staff and the administrative staff that reaches out wanting to know if all is good. Best for great care all around! I'm so glad we were able to get my mom into this facility!

Lots of cognitive in impaired residents. Very few activities . Lots of old movies played. Nothing really stimulating going on. We need more stimulating activities are early AM!! Art classes not ongoing.

If a friend asked me about my experience with the community, I would say that everything has been good except for the billing experience. I have had to go back and forth over the bill with accounting several times before we got things straight. One of the main problems you never got billed on time.The staff is excellent and it is only two and a half miles from my brother.

What our family likes the most about the Belmont Village San Jose community is the food that is prepared, the "circle of friends" as well as the activities that are offered. We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

Some of the staff go out of their way to help me. There are lots of activities to choose from.

For the short time my mother in law was there I found Belmont to clean and staff to be very nice, easy to deal with and very nurturing. The staff and the overall appearance of the citizens. They seemed happy and well cared for. The facility was very well kept and neat.

This facility is one of the only places that allow for a 2-person assist, which is why we chose it. My mom wouldn't have been able to stay here otherwise. They do a good job each month with a "theme" for activities, but my mom would love more opportunities for crafts (the lady who used to run the craft club moved away). Some of the food she loves and others are just ok. She would like a little more variety I think. (She's sick of green beans.)

My friend resides at Belmont Village Buckhead. The housekeeping is good. The staff are mostly nice (reported to me as less so on the night shifts.) Communication with the family is okay; however the resident really must have their own phone, because the only "common" phone is at the receptionist desk where the time allowed to use must obviously be quite limited. Visiting a resident is problematic because parking is very scarce. If you want to have a meal with a resident, you're better off to bring some fast food because the meal charge--unlike the nominal charge in other places that I have visited for other residents--is quite high, and (again, unlike other local places in which I have visited residents) the resident does not get a "guest meal" about once a week. In addition, the menu looks extensive, but often the selections are not actually available. So the facility seems pretty nice for residents, but difficult for visitors. I would recommend this facility to others, despite the caveats listed, because they were accommodating for an emergency need, and also accommodating for my friend's need for medical transportation which she never seemed to be able to request timely.

For the overall experience, it has been a bit frustrating that my mom can't have over the counter meds in her place because she opted for them to disperse her prescribed medications. However what we like most about the community are the people who work there. My Mom would be better at giving input on the day to day, but my personal experience with [name removed] and his dog Panda has been nothing but fantastic. My mom does talk about her PAL, [name removed] a lot, but I haven't met her.

We liked the facility and rooms. It has a homey/upscale feel. The different levels of care and activities available. And also, an on site nursing staff - very important feature to us. I would have no problem recommending the Belmont. All the resident/staff interactions I have witnessed have been caring and friendly. The nursing staff has been responsive when we needed them to be. While no place is perfect, we are pleased with our mom's care

We have had a good experience at Belmont Village Burbank. My mother has felt comfortable there. And I would recommend them to other families in need of assisted living.

I believe they are honest and genuine. We picked this community, because they could care for my mom without hesitation. My mom is a dialysis patient, and they were more aware of her needs.

We have had overall a really good experience at Belmont Village. We've had a couple of minor billing issues that we're still working out. But besides that, everything is good, and my loved one is happy there.

They have eyes on the members at all times, they try to get members to participate in activities. They keep you informed when there are changes. From what we have seen, I do not know of anything that they could improve on. I know my FIL says his days are not spectacular but he can't tell me what would make them spectacular.

It was very nice and beautiful. It was very unique and more high end. It was more expensive. It wasn't as secure for my loved one.

I would absolutely recommend this facility to family and friends!

My husband was a resident here and they took good care of him. The food was good. The facility was clean. The staff was friendly and wonderful, we had no problems with them.
