Belmont Village

Great staff. Very Clean and neat community. Love their Circle of Friends program.

I usually never write reviews, but Belmont Village of San Jose is such a wonderful assisted-living facility that I had to write something, My father-in-law moved in there about 6 weeks ago, and we are very happy with our decision to place him there. He gets wonderful care, and the caregivers treat the residents with such respect and concern for their well-being. Peggy [removed] (Community Relations person at Belmont Village of San Jose) was/is so amazingly caring and helpful, she made what could have been a very stressful experience (moving in, etc.) so much easier/smoother for everyone involved!

My mom was only at Belmont Village for 9 days before she passed. They made sure we had plenty of good food brought to the room so we could stay with her. I was so impressed with the staff and how good they were to her and us during this difficult time. The nurses were so good with her and I know my mother would have loved living there. I would recommend this community to friends and family.

We have two family members at The Belmont Village Hollywood. Their every need is being met by a professional staff who care about the residents. It is the best care facility we have found.

During that time, a representative from BV visited my loved one more than once, at both facilities, and was also an advocate for their care. The staff at BV also answered any question I had in the complicated hospital and rehab process. The Circle of Friends program is amazing and I feel confident that my loved one is receiving the care as a "family" member each day whether I am present, in town or out of town.

This is a beautiful community. They take great care to our patients. All the staff are very knowledgeable and super friendly.

I toured a few other places as well, but I liked that Belmont is privately owned and run. I like the way they approach it. They have a good caregiver to patient ratio. They're quick to respond to anything. They're very thoughtful, genuine, sincere, and caring. They've really stepped up to the plate to care for my wife, they're taking good care of her. She's adjusting well and it seems to be working out. They do have a lot of activities, most she can't participate in, but they have customized some for her. She loved the food immediately. I've eaten it too and it is really good.

My mother-in-law moved into Belmont independent living in September 2015, so after six months I would like to share my impressions. She really loves it there and so do we! Every time I walk in the front door I am welcomed and feel like part of the Belmont family. We, her son and I, have been there many times for holiday and family events and I will say they do a great job! Everything is top notch there. The décor is traditional/transitional which I think suits the residents well. Everything is very clean. It is all on one level which I think is very nice and the hallways are very wide and open which I think is important. The whole place feels cozy and airy. The food is beyond good, really. They have plenty of activities and their healthcare workers are called PALS, they look in on the residents and encourage them to participate in things. This is a huge value add in my opinion. Also full time nurses for those who need it. We are not there yet but in the event that we do she will be able to stay in her apartment and transition to assisted living. And later if needed they have memory care. We are really happy with this choice. My compliments to the management and staff! If you are looking for a place I would suggest a visit to Belmont Village at John's Creek.

We're very pleased with how things have turned out at Belmont Village! It took my loved one a bit to get settled in, but the staff have been very friendly, professional, and accommodating throughout the whole process! It's a nice looking place, and Mom is really enjoying the friendly social atmosphere in the dining room!

The Belmont HCV has been such a blessing for my mother and for me. To know she is in a safe, secure, and loving environment 24/7 is everything. The "PALS" there are so loving and fun and help her "get through" the daily routine treating her with respect and making her smile. The administrative staff (ED. communications personnel, etc. are outstanding). They made the transition to move there so personal and were so helpful. I would recommend it to anyone considering this type of move.

Dad has been at Belmont Village for some time now and still trying to adjust although he seems to be doing okay with the place. The staff and the circle of friends he has there really makes things easier and he has gone out on scenic drives with the community and also enjoys movie nights. Dad really likes the food there and says there is definitely plenty for seconds and thirds! The staff are always very responsive and even send the family pictures of Dad to keep us all updated! We are completely happy with Belmont and would recommend.

My dear Mom was living here for over a year. During her time at The Belmont, she continuously received excellent, loving medical and emotional care. I would come and visit her at various times of the week and always found her happy and clean and her room in clean and safe conditions. The staff ratio allows for this maximum care. She truly came to think of the staff as part of her family. Staff was always wonderful in notifying me of any further needs including if there was ever the need for further therapy options. I feel blessed that a geriatric psychologist recommended The Belmont for my Mom. It was truly the perfect fit for her.

Really liked this place. This is the Cadillac of facilities. From the kind and patient staff to the proximity to Santana Row you could not ask for more. There Circle of Friends program allows the person to age in place because it has 4 levels. The only drawback for us is the price. However it is an all inclusive program

Belmont Village West University is very nice, service is fantastic. My mother-in-law is doing pretty good. She loves the activities, there are a lot of things for her to do so she stays busy. The food is excellent. It's like home. The staff is helpful.

The Belmont team took great care of our mother. The last 14 months of her life were spent in Belmont's memory care. They provided wonderful assistance and kind care for our mother. It is comforting to know that she was so well cared for her last year of life. Our Belmont experience started off in such a positive way. The team was outstanding about helping us get mother settled from the West Coast in an emergency situation. They even loaned us furniture for her apartment until her things arrived. Once we were at Belmont memory care, the considerations continued. Mother had unique California natural food preferences and the Kitchen team was super about filling her requests for salads and salmon and vegetables. She loved the food! We cannot thank the memory care team enough. Our mother lived most of her life independently and alone. The memory care activities every day kept her involved. We saw her thrive having people around her and she lost much of her previous fear/anxiety. My heart smiles when I remember the loving hugs that the memory care assistants gave mom. She'd hold her arms up and they would hug her and tell her she was loved. It was beautiful. Her health situation changed as she became prone to falls and broke her hip. The Belmont nursing staff knew how to handle the situation. Many facilities do not want someone who has both dementia and significant physical limitations. The Belmont team and the nursing staff welcomed her back from rehab with open arms. We will always be grateful to them. Speaking medically, the Belmonts in-house doctor – Dr. Randy Villanueva - was the perfect doctor for us. His medical skills, experience with seniors and his compassionate heart are an amazing combination. He is a gift to his patients and their families. We miss our mother immensely, but it gives us great comfort to know that Belmont made her last year the best it could be. The gift of care and kindness was a priceless one.

My mom came to Belmont from a board and care facility. She has done more in one week than she did in 2 years at the board and care. The classes keep her engaged, she loved the planned outings and nightly movies is her favorite not to mention the dining room is like a restaurant-lots of choices! The staff have been instrumental in her transition and have been caring and lovely.

The facility is doing a great job. Their handling everything they should be handling. The only issue is that it is costly. I do not think it should be that expensive to take care of a loved one. Overall they are doing a great job.

I am very impressed with Belmont Village for its cleanliness, friendliness but most of all the respect the staff shows to the residents and visitors. I highly recommend it!

I rate this property very highly. After 4 days of being here my mom was on an outing and fractured her hip. She will be going back after rehab, not sure when she will be done with the rehab. I rate this facility with all 5 stars.
