Belmont Village

My 93 yr. old father moved into Belmont Village in June 2023. The staff and Nursing Team made it their mission to address my and my Dad’s needs and concerns immediately and continue to do so. The care and compassion that they have showed my father is incredible and sincere. There is a constant line of communication between my father, the nursing staff, the “Pals”, the Dr and the additional services and myself. My father feels respected and heard. In situations where my father’s health issues need additional attention, I receive calls from the Dr., his office staff and the Nurses at Belmont Village. Recently, my father needed PT. The therapist called discussing their care plan and then called with updates throughout the weeks of Therapy. I took my first trip in 4 years because I felt comfortable knowing that my father would be looked after with the same care and compassion that I would give to him.

It certainly isn't easy growing old in todays world. Those of us that are fortunate enough to have parents still with us create challenges as we ourselves get older. Belmont Village is a place that not only cares for our parents but enriches their lives and helps them keep their dignity throughout the aging process. My family looked long and hard to find the right place for our parents and by far Belmont came out on top. It is hard balancing the financial aspect of their lives but the community atmosphere is tremendous. The building is top notch, food excellent, medical and emotional care #1. The staff at Belmont Village truly and I mean truly care for the residents. I could go on for a long time but the bottom line is, not only do I highly recommend Belmont Village but I trust them with my parents life and well being.

After an unexpected death before Thanksgiving turned our small family upside-down, it became clear that my mother could not continue living on her own. The staff at Belmont Village near our home made it possible to welcome her for respite care just after New Year's, and after a month or two had passed, Mom became convinced that it was the right place for her to be on a continuing basis. She lives in a room that she has been allowed to personalize, has made special friends, and receives care that generally addresses her needs without unduly compromising her independence and dignity. The facility is clean, spacious, and welcoming to residents and family members alike. I am comforted in knowing that Mom is getting regular meals in a relaxed, open setting, that any changes in her physical or mental condition will be addressed appropriately, and that Belmont's thoughtful leadership will involve us in decision-making. My wife and I are grateful that Belmont Village is there for Mom.

Belmont Village has been the best place for our mom, and for us. They take excellent care of her, especially during her medical emergency & surgery follow-up. They are so understanding of her needs as well as providing support and encouragement for us. They have a monthly support group for caregivers, so we can learn from each other. When her sister died this year the Belmont staff guided us in handling the fact that she cannot remember this. They're very patient with our phone calls and include family members in many activities, including honoring our Veterans. Most of all, all of the staff truly know her! Every region should have a Belmont village!

They are very friendly. They have been doing a great job with care services. My loved one loves the food. They have a lot of activities. The program for memory care is very unique, and it's a very fine program. I would recommend to other families.

My loved one likes the food. They need to add more activities for residents. It's an excellent community. We picked this community, because of the location, it's convient to my home, and it seemed like they cared. I would recommend to other families.

I liked Belmont Village Green Hills. The facility looked great. The activities looked great. It turned out they didn’t have a room available, so we ended up at a different place, where I actually prefer the circular layout for my loved one with memory issues. (Belmont Village has straight line hallways.) But all in all, it looked like a good option.

The staff is very helpful. The community is extremely clean. This is a very nice community. The staff communication with the family is wonderful. The community is able to provide medication management, dressing and bathing assistance, and hygiene care as some of the care offered. There are additional fees for care services offered by the community for your loved one.

Belmont Village Buffalo Grove gets 5 stars for all categories, it has been a great experience! They offer a higher level of care with 24 nursing and access to the staff Doctor. So helpful! I would absolutely recommend this facility to others.

This community is close in location for us and it is just beautiful. Their outside area is fabulous, it is big with a nice garden area and a gazebo, it is just wonderful. It is expensive but at the end of the day our loved one is getting wonderful care so it is worth it. The meals and dining service is excellent, our loved one is happy with the food and the variety. They have a lot of activities going on throughout the day, at least two or more different things. They have calendars in the elevator and hallways that shows what they have going on.

We really like how easy it is when it comes to communicating with the staff members. Although our loved one does not always participate in the activities we do see plenty of things going on which is nice. Based on our experience we would recommend Belmond Village Buffalo Grove to other families .

We are extremely pleased with Belmont Village Lakeway. The entire staff is friendly and calm. There are plenty of staff to residents and the staff know where everyone is and belongs.

I am a friend of a resident currently residing at Belmont Village Albany. Words cannot express how grateful I am for what they have done to improve my friend's quality of life. The staff is always warm and attentive, the food some of the best I have had and the activities are always taking place. My friend has found new friendships and a purpose in life again thanks to this community.

I have worked with numerous residents at Belmont Village- more specifically with people who suffer from various stages of dementia ranging from mild cognitive impairment to later stages. They have various programs of engagement since research has shown that with programs, one size does not fit all. The goal is to keep individuals engaged and stimulated while being cognizant of aging and memory loss. They have four programs total with two dedicated to memory impairment and care. The independent programming consists of programs geared towards age related forgetfulness or mild cognitive impairment. They also offer a specialized dementia living care area for their residents with progressive dementia. The staff is trained at noticing changes in condition and work well with the nursing team to come up with diligent solutions to help the residents age in place safely.

Belmont Village Geneva Road, Carol Stream IL was an ideal situation for our family member who needed extensive memory care. Belmont works with an outstanding hospice provider who coordinated the care of the resident within Belmont. The combination of the hospice team and Belmont was outstanding for our family member.

I toured Belmont Village and the tour was very nice, I thought they were very helpful. We were really looking for something more temporary because ultimately we wanted to move my mom to where my dad ended up, but we didn't know where he would be. Belmont Village was very nice, but very expensive. It would be a lot more heavier of a lift to get my mom moved in, which would mean harder to get her out as well, in terms of furniture, etc.. The community we chose made it very easy with having furniture already there. They also had a respite care way of looking at things and so did Belmont, but I didn't ever see their memory care area because my mom presents as someone who doesn't need memory care. So, I didn't feel I understood their memory care. They were kind of pushing more for assisted living for my mom and that wouldnt have been a good fit. The community we chose really understood and it was the first place we saw, so I was judging everything against them. The place we chose was also less expensive because they had a deal going on.

They offer a great variety of activites but my loved one does not participate. It is incredibly expensive but worth it. APFM was amazing. We picked this community because, the staff is amazing, they are experienced, incredibly knowlegeable, and knew what a hoyer lift was. The staff from the office to floor has been there a long time. They are constantly adjsuting to accomodate the changing needs of my loved one.

This facility is excellent! It's new and very nice. The staff is wonderful. They are a bit short staffed, but that's everywhere right now. The food is good quality and they have a good variety. They do housekeeping often and do a great job. They also do laundry once a week or more often, if needed. Communication with the family could improve. I have to initiate most of it. I have no problem getting answers, but no one reaches out to me unless I've called them or asked them first. There's a huge variety of activities. I would recommend them to family and friends.
