My Goodness! What negative comments. My parents lived at Avista for 2 years. I have had the privilege of meeting the entire staff and most of the residents. The residents are happy, the care is very good. The management team is mindful of the residents' needs, and I found them to be most helpful when my parents were in the hospital. The executive director and a number of the staff members went to the hospital to visit them. I'd like to say: "So, stop your grumbling." Isn't it a shame that so many people have such negative things to say but the ones who are pleased with what they receive are so very quiet!

I loved walking into Chateau because it was very welcoming and warm. All of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful and they all went out of their way to make sure I felt at home. It is a very clean and organized community and I had a very positive experience.

Things are going well here. He really seems to like it. The staff is nice and friendly. The facility itself is clean and well maintained and the other residents are nice. Overall, I think things are going very well so far.

So far, things are going well at Heron Place. The staff is courteous and compassionate and the facility is always clean and seems well managed. The residents here seem happy and well taken care of.

Nice smaller facility which allows for staff to know your loved one and personalize care to address their needs. Very friendly and caring staff as evidenced by their interactions with residents....even when they don't know someone is watching or listening.

It works for my mom who suffers from dementia. She struggles to remember daily things and can get quite angry and agitated but they do a good job of managing her.

My father recently passed away after living at Syringa Place for a year or so. I am an LPN in an assisted living facility in Seattle where I have worked for 10 years. I can say that my father received really good care and they staff went out of their way to make him happy. He was fiercely independent and was treated with the respect and dignity he deserved. I would visit and stay in the same room with my dad for days at a time and we were both taken care of well. When my father passed away, everyone from the administrator, the maintenance person, nursing staff and dietary department went above and beyond to accommodate my family. Some of the highlights that made my dad's life special by the staff was a great birthday bash for him that many of my family attended and enjoyed. When my dad noticed his hair was falling out, even the beautician got involved by giving dad special treatments for his hair. A western day was held and my dad's special saddle was displayed and he felt so honored. My family was grateful for all of the good care my father received at Syringa Place. Thank you all so much!!!!!

Windriver Place really is in a nice neighborhood of houses. Near a main street so easy to get to even in bad weather. The facility access is great for wheeled devices like walkers. The staff are heroic in the care they give. Everyone there has been kind, helpful and tolerant of my mother's dementia-based antics. There is a lovely covered and open patio in the interior and plenty of outdoor seating. They strongly encourage family visits by hosting everybody for events like Grandparent's Day. Each room has big windows to let in the sunshine. Staff including administrators are helpful and they work hard to keep everybody comfortable and happy. There's a cozy fireplace in the living room area, a busy craft room, and a TV room, too.

I have lived here for a little over one year and have never been so happy. I have a darling one bedroom apartment with a patio that goes out to a pretty court yard! I love the activities and the staff are all so nice to me and my friends

The care my mother receives has been wonderful. She is well cared for by a loving staff. She has had some health issues and the care givers have always contacted her doctor and her family when they arise. They were short staffed for a short time, but the care was still there. My Mom is happy and she considers this her home. We wouldn't even consider moving her elsewhere.

My mother is very happy with Syringa Place. She is pleased with the care she receives, likes the food and enjoys all the activities offered. Once a month is a themed family night and we enjoy this very much. There is a full service beauty shop on site and my mother takes full advantage of it on a weekly basis. She said it makes her feel good. The caregivers are friendly and the administration staff has been a true blessing. They have gone above and beyond to see that my mother's move to Syringa Place was pleasant and positive. To sum this up, moving my mother to Syringa Place has been one of the best decisions I have made for her.

We were only there for a short respite stay, just a few weeks. They had excellent care for him there. It was clean, the staff was friendly. We had no complaints about food, or anything else. They did a great job!

The most important part of where we live is the people that are involved. My experience with Windriver Place has been genuinely positive and professional, caring and personal. My dad was not at all happy with the idea of moving into an assisted living facility and made no effort to hide his thoughts or feelings. The transition was difficult for him and I, especially the first couple of weeks, but everyone involved with him at Windriver is so encouraging and willing to help in any way they can. We're about six weeks in now and Dad's attitude has mellowed some as he has adjusted to his new surroundings and the other folks that are a part of his new world. I'm very grateful to the staff for their patience, encouragement and willing attitudes for helping us navigate these times.

My 91 year old father stayed at Mountain Ridge for 10 days while I was out of town. I was referred to Mountain Ridge by the friendly woman from A Place For Mom. She was very kind and helped me tremendously. Dad seemed to enjoy his stay and it eased my mind in that I didn't have to worry about his care. I would recommend anyone to use A Place For Mom if the need arises.

It’s really nice. There are no issues with laundry or food. I ate the food once and it was okay. There is an outdoor area for residents. The parking is okay and it’s conveniently located. The best feature is that it is very clean.

My brother has adjusted as well as can be expected. There have been some changes in the staff, but I am primarily satisfied with the care he is receiving. It is a good place. The 4 (rather than 5) is because the same person is still the Executive Director, and she left much to be desired during our initial negotiating process. Fortunately, we haven't had to deal with her since then.

The reason for my score is I feel the communication between the medical staff and residents could be better. The apartment is nice and works well for [name removed]. She has everything she needs. The medical aids have been good, sometimes they have a difference of opinion. It's mostly around her having cough drops and eye drops. Now that I know everything has to have an order we can hopefully improve that. She likes the food service, house cleaning is a bit less than expected as they don't dust or vacuum often. The main staff has been great. Both [name removed] and I have formed good relationships with all of them. The van service isn't always available for her and that's could use some more extended hours of service.

Salesperson was friendly and helpful, but we didn’t get beyond the initial sit-down as we learned that the apartments did not have full kitchens or washer/dryer units.

We find the staff at Avista very friendly and caring. The facility is clean and well-maintained. The apartment size is fine, and our mother is very happy here.

Apartment its fine, cleaning not so much. The toilet in his bathroom always plug. They are not on time on the medication always off by and hour. he have a hard time with that. The staff is good.
