It was very clean; very open and sunny. The rooms were great I could almost live there myself. Their rates were about what we expected.

Warm, homey community. Smaller rooms, many seating areas. No waiting list. Looked clean and neat. ALL INCLUSIVE RATE includes incontinence products, laundry, linen, non-medical nursing supplies,and 2 baths/week + extra if needed. Excellent 5 to 1 CARE RATIO; count doesn't include 8-5 activity director or NURSING STAFF. Have multi RN's LPN's on staff + many NA's for day to day care - like a skilled nursing. 75% of residents are full care. 24 hr nursing coverage. Cert for wound care. Positive feedback from UNM nurse trng coord and hospitals on the conditions of their residents when hospital stay is necessary. Rotate bedridden patients every 2 hours. Central kitchen serves 3 DR's. Food looked good. 2 servers make plates up, not NA's. Nutritionists do meal planning for each resident. Transfer wheelchair bound patients to seats for activities and meals. Walk people daily with 2 NA's if necessary. Utilize signed checklists to assure residents are being toileted every 2 hours and walked. Open access to grassy courtyard with gazebo during day. Sponsor a monthly council meeting with families for Q&A. Saw quite a few family members assisting with evening meal. No facility outings - no transport. [removed] are b/n meal drinks offered? Rooms a bit of a disappointment but could sacrifice this for improved care and attention.

Love the atmoshere of the Peridot. The residents were happy and seemed to enjoy each other and their environment. Ice on the sidewalk, north side of the building is a concern. Walls and doors on some of the wings where we did not tour appeared in need of paint or cleaning, carpeting (same wings) had debris next to walls in hallways. We can't say enough about Erin, she was a delight, very pleasant, understanding, caring, and knowledgable. This was our favorite place so far but the prices were quite a bit higher than noted in the information we received. We loved that people were out walking around, hanging out in different rooms, napping, watching TV, etc. The small patio w/storage off the living room was a definite plus as was the inclusion of medical alert system which was extra at the Alta Vista. Small 1 person salon. drs on Tuesday's and Thursdays. Shopping on Monday and Wednesday's. Half fridge and microwave. Health care in any appartment is a plus. Would want to tour the pet wing prior to making committment.

Tour was pretty nice, ended up with another option that fit needs better.

They have low entry costs, but their points system will raise up the cost quickly. The care is pretty basic, and I would like to see more personal attention for the cost. The staff don't necessarily go out of their way to help or answer questions, although that depends on which shift (day, evening or weekend). The weekday shift is typically better.

Overall LP is good. The accounting and billing is fair, they have problems overcharging.

Garnet Place was an excellent facility. The only real problem was that, in general, the food was very mediocre. They took really good care of [Name removed], until she died.

When I toured this facility, it was pristine, but very expensive. The residents there seemed to be very active, which is nice, but wouldn’t fit the needs of my loved one very well. The building was fairly new and seemed to be on top of things as far as cleanliness was concerned. Any executive person that we spoke with was exceptional in answering any questions we had. We ultimately decided on a different community because of the pricing, but if I had moved my loved one in, I don’t think I would’ve had any complaints.

Making the choice to have your loved one cared for by strangers is a difficult and scary one to make. For us it was necessary for our dad to be in a safe, healthy, clean and active place. The staff at Joshua Springs become a part of your family because they make it easy to. They truly care for the residents and their well being. But they also care about the families and what they are going through. We feel we are walking into my dads home, a family home, when we visit. The feeling of them being strangers disappeared quickly. We have the utmost confidence in the staff to assist our dad during this time of his life, and we are thankful such a place is available to him. We live close by now and visit often. We are not able to each day but EVERY day we are thankful for the staff that can be there for dad when we cannot. Thank you all for your kindness.

We toured this community for care. The staff were outstanding and did answer the questions we had. We liked that the community was clean and the environment was very nice. The menu looked appealing. We would suggest that families your this community for the care of a loved one

I thought the staff at this location where very helpful and knowledgeable about there community and everything they had to offer. They just did not offer a medicaid plan and that is what my mother will eventually have to be using.

The staff at Windriver is very understanding and patient with my father. He tends to be stubborn about things but they generally do their best to work with him.They were willing to take more of the load from me and understood that I had my own family and needed a break.One thing that could be better is the communication. I would like for them to reach out to me more. I don't need updates everyday but they tend to tell him things and not me. I would also like to thank my advisor from A Place for Mom. She was so patient with me and guided me though the process because I had never done this before.

The heron Place has been a good choice for my mother-in-law. The community overall has a good look to it. It is very well maintained. The staff is really nice and keeps her safe. We have found that my mother-in-law has been doing a lot better health wise since her move here. The meals are nutritious, unfortunately, the kitchen does not have the spices that she is used to but she is adjusting. The staff really works with us whenever we need anything. She has a good size room with her own bathroom with plenty of space.

My dad is having some issues with settling into Brookdale Prescott. The staff are friendly and work well with the family. His only complaint is the staff come in unannounced. My daughter and I have tried the food it is healthy and tastes good. They offer activities however he has not yet participated in any. I would recommend.

They have grown so fast. They are starting to smooth out.

Everything there is great! IT is a wonderful place.

The only thing is that the laundry marking, sometimes they do not get their things back. We try to keep it marked and the marking got washed off before we could get it back on.

The grounds and the outdoor had a lot of need for improvement. My wife didn't like the smell in the kitchen and dining area. This wasn't for us.

My mother has not been at the Peridot for a full week yet but she seems very happy. The staff is friendly and helpful. The meals have been very good. There are many activities to choose from. Her apartment is cute and cozy, with new carpet and paint. She has one bedroom and it is roomy enough to handle a bed, chest of drawers, bedside tables and a small chair and still have room to move about with the walker. Not all of the apartments have a view but Mom has an apartment with a little balcony and a lovely view. So far we are both very thankful to have found the Peridot.
