They seem to really care about their residents. They always want to know if there is any problems with the food. My mother is happy there. She likes it. My main complaint would be the food. I think my mom would be happier with another cook. The staff seems real caring and friendly. They are always available to discuss things with you. Everything has been going well at the Garnet Place. It has been positive.

They have done fantastic. It's very clean and it doesn't smell. The staff is very friendly. Very nice it's small. I think they have done a good job. The food isn't the greatest, but they have a good menu, and they have plenty of food. Overall I have been very pleased.

The facility at Copper Place is very clean, and the staff there is very friendly. The issues are that the caregivers need more training as too different levels of care for residents, seems they are not equipped with knowledge or resources for more advanced care.

They have done very well in getting him in there maintenance guy as well as staff very helpful. They have have made every effort to get him out and about and control the urine smell from his incontinence. The food is very good. There has been some communication regarding insulin pen felt it wasn't something they needed to help with until I talked to them. Resident was still asleep when sister came to pick up for doc appointment that I had told them about earlier.

Things have gone well so far for my loved one at Garnet Place! We haven't had any problems with the staff for the services that they provide, and my loved one seems to like it here.

We met with Brian Thursday 1/15. Rooms were nice. A one level facility is a plus. Many of the residents were out and about.

The staff at Copper Place has been very friendly and real helpful. Mom was allowed to bring her dogs there, which was a real bonus. They have really tried to get her involved and knowing and interacting with the other residents, which I very much appreciate.

My father, who has Alzheimer's, has resided at The Summit at Sunland Springs since the end of May, 2014. We could not be happier with this accommodation. The building is new and built to resemble more of a hotel than a typical nursing home: it is clean and calming, the halls are wide, the furniture and art upscale and in great shape. There are plenty of lounging areas, and a large patio. Everyone has a private room and bath. The staff are as friendly and helpful--and as amazingly patient and compassionate--as they could possibly be, helping us get the services my dad needs and personalizing their care for him. The folks conducting the various recreational activities are enthusiastic, creative and flexible. Families are welcomed and invited to be involved. Patient safety is a top priority. The dining room food is very good, with a talented chef providing nutritious meals, and family members may eat as well. I can think of nothing to complain about, and highly recommend The Summit to others seeking dementia patient care.

Very nice facility, cost of move in was higher than most, but I would recommend.

My mother lives more independently here, but it has been good for her so far. The staff is accommodating to those who need more care and those who need less, and that has worked well for her. The food is very very good. The residents are encouraged to socialize with different events and activities, and there is an open and warm community atmosphere. My only issue would be with the fact that alcohol is allowed, and there are not enough restrictions for those residents that cannot/should not have alcohol. Otherwise, great place.

Compared to where my loved one was previously living at, this is MUCH better! The staff is much more caring and they are much easier to work with. The watch over my loved one and we are very happy with Emeritus!

This was a nice looking community, and the man who gave us the tour was very friendly. We toured this community when we were looking into options for our loved one, however we didn't quite like the feel here as much as another option that we toured. The residents seemed to be a bit higher on the care spectrum and not as social as we wanted for our loved one.

They were clean and friendly. They all serve the big meal in the afternoon and then dinner is salad or something lite. The bathroom was not set up the best that it could be for people that had physical limitations. It was just very difficult for our loved one to maneuver in the bathroom.

Attractive & clean. Interior access only. Graduated residence: independent to assisted to memory care. A community (buy-in?) fee. Nice apartment but tight entrance. Nice grounds. Pretty dining hall & lobbies.

They were fine. My wife just could not make the adjustment. The Cottages was the first place she had been in and she just couldn't do it. I chose it because it was close and it was furnished. We were in a terrible fix. My wife was diagnosed with dementia. It was all very quick and The Cottages looked great to me and I think it's a good place. They have nurses on staff and a visiting doctor. The people there were very nice. If I ever had any difficulty they always responded to it quickly. My wife just couldn't adjust but that is through no fault of The Cottages. They were a great place.

It has its ups and downs. It is a fairly good sized facility, 90 people, and I think they too are a little understaffed. We have had issues with nurses and techs claiming that they were taking his blood pressure when they weren't. He developed pneumonia and we were trying to get him back on his feet again, so we had hired outside nursing care for him. They nurse that was working with him at Emeritus insisted that we hire another group because she didn't want to work with our nurses. I thought that was strange because those nurses were wonderful. They have a problem getting the food to those patients that are staying in their rooms. My dad had that problem. That seems like it would be easy to fix, but their nursing staff and tech staff seems to be drawn into having to deliver the meals. They have to schlep the meals up to the clients that can't come down for meals. That takes up several hours out of their day. They could find someone at a lower pay scale to do that. My dad is adjusting. He likes it there. They provide a lot of entertainment and things to do and I would say generally it is pretty darn good. They are doing pretty well. They have stayed on track.

That's really where I would have liked my parents to go but if I remember correctly it was about $1000 more a month. It was really clean. The people were nice. It was newer too.

Nice facility. Assisted living and memory care. A bit smaller/quieter. Units are unfurnished, but respite rooms are available for a short-term stay.

The staff is really friendly and the community is very clean and well maintained. It is a bigger community that is licensed for about 54 residents. It is a little on the pricey side when compared to other communities in the area.

This is a beautiful facility, staffed with wonderful caring people.
