There's been a lack of communication. Corporate doesn't want to hear anything. They're nonchalant about addressing certain issues. You have to go to the executive director to get anything resolved. They don't know how to take care of hearing aids. They just plop them in an envelope and mail them back to you. When that hearing aid arrives in bits in and pieces, they do nothing about it. Basically my loved one was confined to his room with nothing to do all day since Covid started. They're not offering any kind of activities, and his mental health has declined. From what I've seen, they do keep the place clean, individual rooms as well as shared spaces.

It depends on the diagnosis of your loved one. If you go with the flow and everything is good the program will work fine. If you have anything that doesn't fit their program they keep charging you for more services; without addressing the issues at hand. They aren't prepared for different issues, and they weren't prepared for the memory care residents. It is a beautiful community.

It is ridiculously expensive for the amount of money we spend a month. For the cost they should provide toiletries for the residents, they charge for absolutely everything short of wiping someones nose. Taking some one down to the dining hall in a wheel chair qualifies for a high level of care with a price increase. They also raised the monthly rates because of covid protocols.

We've not been pleased - they've been on lockdown over a year, with no internal cable tv station for the community, which could bring them together. They're really isolated. At a previous place, they had a channel to watch shows and interact and classes. It's been a year, most people have learned how to do zoom and communicate with their residents. The food is good - my loved one loves the food. The people are nice. The residents are all quite sharp, and she's very thrilled with being able to speak with them and have intelligent conversations more once lockdown eases up. But so far she hasn't truly met anyone, just had introductions. The potential is there but it hasn't been realized. Atria is just not trying to engage the residents. They've had some holiday events, but they didn't advertise them properly. The only people she sees are the people who clean and bring in the food. They do get to go downstairs every day for a few hours, but with social distancing it's very isolating for the new residents. But Atria hasn't stepped into this new technology at all. I mentioned it to them, and nothing's been done. They did allow my loved one to borrow an i-pad to attend church services on zoom, but that's it.

I wasn't impressed overall with the community. Depending on what services you need, such as if you are able to be independent this is the place to be. If you need assistance this wouldn't be the place to be. The staff communication via email was very good.

The community hasn't been great for us. The staff communication is good. The staff is responsive to the families. I with the community had cameras to see our loved ones and the care of our loved ones. This is a small community. They are starting to allow visits inside the community for a scheduled time to see your loved one.

We chose Atria North Point at the time because the facility had an indoor pool, activity rooms, the people seemed to be more active than some others that we looked into. They also are pet friendly which was a huge deal for my mom. Her apartment size is great, she is able to fit her king sized bed. It has been incredibly difficult to get them to do all the things they promised during the sales process. I find myself on the phone with them all the time trying to get things organized.

This review is only during covid, we have not been able to experience the facility during non-covid times. I do believe she is safe here and I do not have to worry about her, but I am still doing a lot of the stuff that I would be if she was at home just due to covid. The medical staff are very friendly and empathetic and have been really good with communication. They staff are juggling extra calls, family requests, etc and I think they are doing the best they can and I do appreciate it. I would highly recommend it for the social aspect of it all, even though it is limited right now. We are excited for things to open back up so we can experience what the facility has to offer.

We chose Atria at the time because of the price as well as the activities that were available at the time. We also really liked the green space that they had. The staff here have been very kind and helpful. I have had a lot of contact with the director and he has been lovely, however their front desk staff we have had some issues with. I would tell others that if you choose independent living, know that if you nee ANY other care, you will have to source it outside yourself. Overall, I do think it is a very nice place and my mother seems to be happy here.

I'm not happy. They raised the rent by 10% after only 6 months. There was no warning. There is no entertainment, activities, or van due to the pandemic. The community is stating the fee increase is due to COVID. I don't understand why the rent had to go up activities and entertainment from the budget.

the food is not very good for the money we are spending, They seem to have an issue with turnover they have had 3 directors since august and I have been disappointed with the exprence. They have a plan for covid and so far it has been good

We have been having a lot of issues with them not doing things that they are supposed to be doing. They have a very high turnover of staff and management. Due to that there is not a good line of communication between everyone. I have to watch everything very closely and if I don't she does not receive the care she should be getting.

My parents moved in during covid so they have not gotten to experience everything. When we chose this facility I thought we would be getting more than we are actually getting. They have raised prices quite a bit since they moved in here. I would tell others to read the contract very carefully before moving your loved one in.

My mom used to be on the assisted living side but since then she has moved to memory care so it is hard to judge since we cannot go in. I would tell others that you have to be proactive for your loved ones if they are here. They do have a big turnover in staff and management. I do not think the value is there for the money we are paying right now.

I have not been able to visit due to covid

They offered a lot of good activities, we had prior experience with this community with the Alzheimer's care side, and our loved one more into assisted living. They had everything pretty good, and it was clean and nice. However in the beginning they made some promises that they did not follow through with.

The food is horrible, my sister sometimes has to ask what is this. They don't listen to my sister's dietary needs and serve her things she cant eat. I am having to bring food for her to eat. The staff was nice at first but they seem to have an attitude now. I would not recommend this community until the food is improved

My ratings are based on the time during COVID. This community looked better in January. We moved my loved one in March, and about 5 days later the community locked down for 10 weeks. We moved my loved one to California to be closer to us to assist with her care. Once a week they would get to my loved one's area to do activities. This was hard for all residents. Atria didn't give me a call back with any of my concerns. The community has only had one case of COVID, and this is because of the outside staff that brought it into this resident. I believe Atria has done a great job in only having no COVID cases. The food was horrible during the meal delivery. They are only allowing 4 residents in the huge dining room due meal time. I wish that during the warmer weather they had outside activities and entertainment for residents.

The middle of a pandemic is not a good time for evaluation. Our meals are cooked, our rooms are cleaned, our laundry is done. We can't socialize with one another, much less with outside friends. We can't get haircuts. However, our state of health is cared for in the staff with whom we can have an occasional word, are all fantastic, caring, and personable.

The community went on lock down after three weeks of my loved one moving in. It was difficult to get a good assessment of my loved one's health. I'm not sure how they are managing now. The period my loved one was there, was a difficult time due to COVID.
