Atria

My loved one says that they aren't treated well, and they think the community is a crazy place. This causes frustration for my loved one. The staff that come in to check on my loved one, my loved one gets agitated and feels confused after the staff come in. Atria Covina is still on lock down. The community hasn't communicated with me about new changes with my loved one, or within the community, such as the hair salon being opened again.

I moved my loved one into this community after a not so nice experience at a prior community. I talked to Atria about the laundry of my loved one. They cleaned my loved one's apartment and did her laundry weekly. The food was fine. They prepared good food for the residents. The director of this center was fake friendly. The Director was all business, and put a fake smile on her face. The Director called me one afternoon, and was abrupt about needing my loved one due to her getting out of the community. They only wanted to allow one person to come into the community to pack my loved one's belongings up. Once I asked I asked the Director if they wanted to pack up the items and the director went silent. The Director wanted to keep my loved one's money for not giving two weeks. The Director went into business, and said it doesn't work that way. She acted like she was doing a favor to even get an amount for the amount of money to be refunded, and that wasn't even for the full price. The Care Manager seemed to be competent, and nice.

I would tell my friends that it is good place to live in. This community is more for those that are independent that those who need more assistance. The food was good. The room was a little outdated, but it was a nice size. The director at the end of my loved one's time there, than the one that was there when my loved one moved in.

We chose Atria Center City because it was close to my brother. My mother is in a one room apartment with a bathroom, it is adequate size. My mom is not a big fan of the food. I would want people to know who are looking into Atria to read the contract carefully and understand what the expenses are really going to be. I would recommend this facility depending on your financial status and if you are mobile.

I would want people who are looking into Atria to know that it is a nice looking facility. Most of the staff members are very nice here. I am having some issues with the lead nurse, I do not get called back after I call her which that is very important to me. The room sizes are good compared to some other places we have seen. The food is fine from what I have seen. I would recommend this facility with reservations.

We chose Atria west 86 because of the location. The room sizes were good. I don't know if they ended up being the best for my husband based on the care that he needed. I would not recommend Atria west 86.

We chose Atria because the facility was more fresh, we liked the independence they gave the residents, and it was up to date. The apartments are good living size, nice and big. My father didn't care for the food, very bland. I would recommend if you have the money to afford it, but otherwise it is very expensive.

Atria Cranford is a nice place, it just wasn't for us. This community wasn't able to provide the specific help that we needed. We didn't think the staff was very well trained to handle residents with Alzheimer. My husband wasn't able to participate in the activities provided, but they did have board games for the other residents to participate in. The food was very good it was very well seasoned, My husband loved it. The dessert could of used some improvements. The rooms are Atria are just fine. Overall it was a good experience, their decorations were very nice. They have a really nice garden especially in the spring and summer when all the flowers and trees start to bloom.

Like the amenities and different living arrangements. Not super excited about the pricing.

It really depends on the care level of your loved one. My mom had issues with the laundry and things missing. My mom did not like the food. The room sizes were good. The layout of the community was good for my mom who had a bad knee and could not walk long distances. Parking is an issue.

The community is usually clean. The hands-on care givers are very friendly, however we have had trouble with the director in the past not being completely forthright with us and they seem to avoid talking or meeting with the families. If you are someone who doesn't require a lot of assistance, the care is great. If you do need more assistance, then they might not be able to accommodate, especially if memory care is needed. If you are a more mobile and active senior, the activities are great as well. There aren't as many activities geared towards those who are not as active or mobile.

Some caregivers were good and some were not so good. i chose this community because the cost was fair and my daughter seemed to think it was as good others she visited. I would recommend this community. They do not offer nursing care, it is just memory care. My wife needed a higher level of care which is why we moved her.

I wanted to move my husband into Atria, but because of the Covid-19 pandemic, we weren't able to move him in. This was terribly disconcerting to me and we asked if we could get out of our contact, however Atria would not allow us to break it. It was beyond everyone's control and I couldn't in good conscious leave my husband in the community on lock down. I feel they wish they could have done more to accommodate with my situation especially given the extenuating circumstances. It was a large chunk of money for nothing.

The hallways of Atria Bell Court are always clean and look nice and my parent's apartment is also well maintained. The staff knew my parents' names right away and are good about greeting them. They are also always available for questions. There are a lack of activities available at the community, they don't offer a whole lot. It is a good value for the price. Our only concern is that it is very difficult to navigate around the community as it is not very well marked.

This facility has ongoing renovation work. However, during my visit, the community was very inactive. I was provided adequate information but I did not get the feeling that it would be a good fit for my sister, coupled with the fact that it only has private rooms with a price range that is outside of my range.

They're kicking my mom out for what I feel are unjustified reasons...behavior that is common to late-stage Alzheimer's patients.

Love love this faucity, however not a great fit. It was a bit to large, my Aunt don't do well with a lot of people. The director was informative, and kind.

The staff are very nice and helpful. THey do their best to help the residents. But there are many handicapped people here with aides, either full time or part time, most people with walkers or even wheel chairs, many people with early memory loss, and a great percentage with hearing loss . There are a number of severely disaabled people here also. There are almost no indepdendent residents, and most are assisted, The average age is very high--all the people I am friendly with are over 90! I am not sure I would have come here if I knew the real picture.

This was a nice cozy community but it was too far from our house. Did had a feeling of a nice relaxing lounge with deep rich Wood colors and leather. The rooms were fairly nice as far as the one bedrooms go and my wife like the bathroom setup with a full countertop. Some of the one bedroom layout we're very inviting. The Assisted Living and independent living are separated by a large dining room. They gave me a feeling of being on a nice Caribbean cruise. The building is a little bit older but there was a nice courtyard and a nice slate of activities. Of course they do the laundry in room cleaning each week and they were even willing to help a little with the second person fee. The one big drawback for me was the memory care. It was depressing perhaps because they have an older clientele. Due to the distance away from our home and we weren't really thrilled with the memory care we have decided to look for another facility. The staff was friendly and helpful and we spoke with a few residents we seem to be enjoying they're home there.

Not a good fit for what my mother is looking for in terms of 'community'. Too busy and noisy for the most part that was very overwhelming for her.
