Lots of residents have moved because of the prices, beginning this year they were raised to an exorbitant amount [removed]%. My rent went from $[removed] to $[removed]. Our services have been cut back and the Atria corporate is the problem. They ask for our input and then they will make no effort to respond to the feedback. Tenants are so frustrated.

First of all when visiting Atria Oakridge during the past 4-5 years to visit my brother and sister in law. It was tippy top. That is why we decided to make the move from Huntington Beach Ca. Well, it could not be more different. Fine dining was served at all meals, and [name removed]was the chef at that time. You were led to your table by a Lovely lady named [name removed] to enjoy a sumptuois meal. Today, today a different situation. For instance, was served cold chicken wings, prior to my soup, which was nice and hot. No condiments for the wings or crudites. The two critical servers in the dining were just termidated. We will never know why because their is a failed line of communication with the executive director. We are discouraged to be familial with employes. The objective here is to listen to the residents when we speak our peace, not to tell us that the info we need to know is the truth. The only saving grace is the Engage Life Group.

So far, we have not seen the value for [fee removed] large a month...The majority of our concerns are around the care component and communications side....The nurses we have the biggest issues with has just left...so we will see what happens after she is replaced before making any very difficult decisions about moving our mother to another place...There are absolutely areas of improvement here for them to work on.

We picked this community because, it seemed to be good at the time. They need to be more proactive and could have encouraged my loved one to participate more in the activiites. They were not as attentive. It was a shared failiure, and we mutually agreed that it was not a good fit.

My loved one was a resident at Atria Walnut Creek and I visited often. This facility has gone downhill. The staff are very nice. However, the food is terrible and the prices have increased a lot. The cleanliness of the facility is good. The setting is very nice. The rooms and large sitting area are pleasant.

The facility is clean and very nice looking. The front desk / check in were very nice. Looked like they had a lot of activities. The experience when we first got there and they were showing us the place it was amazing it was awesome... The moment we sign our contract they didn't talk to us anymore they weren't friendly anymore.... Administrative people they weren't like they were when they were trying to get you to sign up. They were added to exchange right after they got to decide the contract which was really sad...... The nurses that administer the pills were not good. There was so much confusion in what medication to give or not give and one of them knew something and the other one there was no communication..... Their doctor and nurse that came to see the patients there weekly was a 5/5. It's so expensive, and you get charged for every little thing...... I think the cost was a little bit high..... They were trying to bill insurance months after my brother in law passed away and I talked to them and they still sent the billing in. I had to report them. It took months to get a refund back.

The community has its positives and negatives, but in general the rent is really high for the overall experience (and seems to increase double digits every year). However, this last year the rate increased double over previous years. Talking to management does not help. Feel disrespected and taken advantage of. Once you move in somewhere it is difficult to move for older people. Shop around and try to get in writing the percentage of rent increase per year.

The worst they will tell you how they will bring you to Dr appt.'s but don't tell you only 10 mile radius and that they can only take you 2 days a week. The food is the worst. My family member has been living there for 2 months and still hasn't been able to get any physical therapy. They will tell you that they will do a lot of things for you which they will for an additional charge. Please do not put you family member here because it is the worst!

The food was good. My loved one's PT, was inadequate and they charged Medicare thousands of dolllars. My love one was not happy there. It was very expensive. My loved one's room was far from the common areas and dining room. There were many financial extras. It was a temporary situation that couldn't have ended soon enough.

The facility is nice and the clinical staff are quite friendly and helpful. The problem is if you need to reach anyone in the administration forget it. They don't respond to calls or emails, they don't make repairs in the room, they raise the rates without telling you and then threaten to have you thrown out because you didn't know about the raise! All that for 14K a month for a studio apt!

As far as like the community itself is very clean, but we have had a few issues with management and at times the staff members don't really seem motived to solving problems.

I would advise looking elsewhere first. If your loved one is in an early stage of dementia, I think maybe they would thrive here. But for later stages of dementia, I think there are better options in the area. I think they're understaffed, and that negatively affected my loved one's health. I also think they need to better assess their patients' needs based on daily/weekly analysis, and not just based on their initial assessment. I think they need to take better care of their patients, especially ones that are returning from hospital stays. Those patients should be their main focus, and in our experience, that was not the case. Also, communication from the memory care director was not what we expected it to be. The woman in marking and admissions was wonderful. But the woman who was the director of memory care only gave us a response maybe 50% of the time.

I do not recommend this community. It's not worth the price. Employees do not seem happy, and residents do not seem satisfied. There seemed to be drama and a disconnect each time I came to the community.

All in all my experience was good until I paid the deposit and received the keys for my mom's unit. 3 days prior to move in the facility changed their mind and no longer welcomed my mother to their facility due to incorrect old info provided by a physician. Instead of talking with us or my mother to do their own assessment they disinvited her and left us scrambling. Then it took me multiple calls to receive my refund. I understand certain circumstances or facilities may not be suitable for all individuals but during an incredibly difficult time and decision making process they could have been more understanding and handled things better.

The top staff needs to improve. I would not recommend this community to other famlies.

I would share with others that Atria El Camino Gardens is a nice place, but the staff isn't very attentive. The staff there don't know how to get back with people if they call with an issue. I've had to call the building director four times for her to call back. Same with the nurse, who never called me back. I've left message after message and there's nothing in return. They are terrible when it comes to getting back to someone. If you have a concern and have left messages, they wont get back to you.

I would not recommend this community to anybody, they need to work on improving the price to get in here.

We did not have a good experience at Atria Marland Place. They didn’t provide good quality care. There was not a good staff-to-resident ratio. It was difficult trying to get them on the phone. Even when I went in person, I couldn’t get to someone to talk to regarding issues. So 90% of the time I had to go through emails. Cleanliness wasn’t great either.

Not enough help-aides or dining room. Terrible Food- Very Expensive- No follow Up communication -with management Poorly designed rooms-chopped up.

The facility is beautiful and they have a wonderful activities director who tries to engage the residents. The staff and the management have been awesome, I am really thankful for what they do. Bridget who runs the floor has been super helpful as well and really tries to do what is best for my mom. The thing that kills me is the business practice, we kind of got trapped. If you have to have a 24 hour aid, it triples the cost per month so I have to be here with here a lot because we cannot afford that. I would tell others to make sure your loved one will not require care beyond what they can offer because they may very well put you on that 24 hour aid which is extremely expensive.
