[name removed] isn't getting the Atria help she needs in a timely manner in contrast to the huge cost. Ways to improve: Find better way than yelling for memory care residents to get attention of scarce helpers. Get [name removed] changed, coffee'd & dressed for breakfast before 11AM (preferably 10:00 AM) in the mornings. Currently, [name removed] starts yelling at 9:00AM but doesn't get help until 12:00PM! Change resident door locks from physical keys to electronic string bracelets which eliminates wrong residents from going into other residents rooms and stealing stuff. Staff from top to bottom has changed over the last 7 months.

The residence was amazing. The services available were over sold. If you had a lot of money not an issue because in order to care for my mom I needed additional services at additional cost which were never addressed at the initial meeting. They led you to believe that they had the staff to care for the residents. They were understaffed. Lastly their head of nursing was arrogant and not helpful at all.

It's not the best, but it is pretty good.It is an adjustment.

Found the staff and residents to be nothing but great. The director and the head of caregivers were in cahoots and made it impossible to stay there. Watch your bills! They evicted her for excessive button pushing.

I would not recommend Atria Park of Vintage Hills to anyone that has a loved one that has dementia and has occasional behavior issues. Therefor for docile or people who are inactive. Staff wasn't honest and had 3 price increased in 3 months.

Maplewood Place was physically attractive and the staff that was there was friendly and attentive. However, it was noticeably understaffed. My loved one was well-taken care of physically, but activities were almost NONEXISTENT. A monthly schedule listing daily activities was complete fiction. The residents in the memory unit were left sitting in front of a tv or literally wandering around doing nothing except during meals.

Food was extremely disappointing. Apparently the head chef departed shortly after mom took residence; food quality and service took a significant hit and never recovered. Appreciated the cleanliness of common areas. Felt more like a hotel/ apartment building / community vs an assisted living facility. Mom made a few good friends.

Before our loved one moved to [community name removed] she was at Atria Huntington and that place is THE WORST!!! Worst place ever. My mom always stunk like urine. They hardly ever helped to change her. She looked like a slob. They raised rates to over [fee removed] . They have some nerve!

The staff is friendly and kind. The dining room is disorganized and the food is just adequate, lacking in vegetables and fruits. The served portions are embarrassing small. The exercise programs are limited, conducted, in the hallway and often led by residents or TV video.

I'm not in Massachusetts so I don't get to see this firsthand. These ratings are based on feedback from my sister-in-law who is the resident and my sister who lives nearby the ownership changed as well as the management after she moved in and what we purchased is not what we got, the quality of the food went down tremendously the Activities Director has changed several times and there have been huge gaps and getting activities restarted according to my sister-in-law who lives there

I was previously a resident at Atria La Jolla, it's the best priced facility in the area. It is an older building and something is always broken. The elevator was out of service for over a year. The staff is friendly, but turnover is high for the waitstaff and housekeeping. With the new chef, hopefully the food has improved. There are lots of celebrations and activities.

I would highly suggest if you place your loved one in this facility that you visit often and at different times. Some of the staff really lack compassion, they should be observed especially in the evenings where the residents are basically in their rooms or sitting in the living area “watching” tv. All interaction ceases in the later afternoon except for necessary tasks. There is very little assistance for anyone who has difficulty feeling theirselves. Meals are removed if not eaten within whatever time frame is allowed. Understaffing and supervision is most definitely a concern. Other reviews leave questions as so different from the observance of many family members who have seen the above, again this reflects the memory care unit.

. My mother has depression, OCD, some anxiety and long grief for her husband.. she complains a great deal, so hard to truly judge. I also live out of state, and visit a couple of times a year.

The wait time for meal sitting, the meal service and the worker turnover was a challenge. However, our loved ones did meet some nice friends at Atria.

I would tell them the place is alright. The aids don't speak very good English. The director is very nice and caring, and so are the nurses. The place is clean. It's just very expensive for what you get. There aren't as many activities as I would like, and the aids do not try and get the patients involved. The meals are alright. For the price I would recommend looking somewhere else.

The in-house staff are exceptional, in terms of bedside manner and maintaining relationships with the residents. The managers are continuously difficult to deal with and get a hold of. They tend to be non-responsive and don't seem to put the resident's preferences first considering they are the ones who are renting to live there. The food is good for a senior home. I do recommend the facility with a couple of hesitations.

The food could improve. There isn't very much to do. There is a wide range of interests here from couch potatoes to myself who was a triathlete. I don't have family. I am a widow who didn't have any children. I don't know if a book club would be of interest. I would enjoy a book club.

It's poorly maintained and shabby but clean. Needs inside painting, molding, etc; needs faster food service. Needs more flexible transit service. And the doors, water fountains, and flooring are not wheelchair friendly. It's apartments are not ADA compatible.

My loved one was previously a resident at Atria Park of Lynbrook. They were not able to effectively take care of my loved one. Only high functioning people should go there. They sell you the world and then avoid you. It's a beautiful place for people who only need minimal help.

My mom loves her apartment. She's made some friends. The staff is generally friendly and helpful. The food options at dinner are horrible (mom is a pescatarian) and the food offered for dinner isn't very good. Mom doesn't take advantage of breakfast or lunch, it would be helpful if they would deliver a meal to apartment at no charge. My mom does not go to any activities. I don't feel Atria did an adequate job helping to get mom involved. The Sales director ensured ahead would introduce mom to younger folks like her and have someone help her to get involved in activities but one she made the "sale" she didn't follow through on that.
