They raised the price as soon as he moved in and as he declined they then raised the price from [fee removed] a month to [fee removed] a month!!!

The aides were exceptional , caring and always responsive and just nice. The administration each one said something else., changed their responses daily. The sales person proved after signing to be a phony and an outright liar.

Conveniently located, restricted courtesy transit, fair food but poor food service, good housekeeping and laundry service, two exercise classes daily, weekly happy hour, monthly field trips, art and music activities, great decisions group, Christian church services, caring assistance but no nursing, mental health, or massage, physical, and occupational therapy. Outdated, poorly maintained, antiquated, shabby. Not ADA compliant or convenient for wheelchairs..

Overall, I would recommend the facility. I really take care of myself, but staff is very caring and overly friendly. Everyone knows your name, from cleaners to chefs. Move in was organized and simple. For the most part, no surprises. My only complaint is food. Portions are small, but you can always ask for more if hungry. I'm a very basic meat and potatoes eater and some of their fare is not to my liking. My bigger gripe is they tend to run out of basics i.e vanilla ice cream, rye bread etc not a big deal, but annoying. It appears that most of the tenants are happy. My biggest complaint is not enough parking near the building. Can be difficult if you use a walking aide or device. Management offers easy access and is open to suggestions and is responsive if help is asked for.

So far it's a nice place but very expensive. Laundry comes back all wrinkled. Check your meds and print out should match. Staff shows favorites and others get passed by. The place it self was cleaner than other places I went to.

This survey should be printed and made available to add residents. Many people do not have cellphone or counters. Finding someone to help is difficult.

Our only experience was with the memory care floor. So, I can't be certain about the rest of the place. They definitely need people better trained in dealing with Alzheimer's residents. They don't seem to be able to deal effectively when a resident exhibits anger and frustration. They just ship them to the hospital. I do think that this is fairly common within most elderly health care facilities. The food could stand some improvement given the cost to stay there. I will say that the direct care staff are very kind and attentive to the residents, even the more difficult ones.

We have recommended but this is not the Ritz. Mom constantly complains about the food. They have mtgs often. Maintenance seems to be put on back burner in individual units. Overall look of the facility is nice though.

Their accounting team is horrible, they really haven't had many correct invoices ever and try to hide it or blame others. They tried for a while with improving the food and it's back to fairly bad. My mother-in-law likes her apartment and is much better and happier overall, which is wonderful.

There are some good activities, but I think there needs to be a heavier emphasis in on boarding new residents.

The staff are wonderful. Very friendly and supportive. They go above and beyond to make newcomers feel welcome. My mom has never said the food is delicious. It's always just OK.

I would say that the administration is shady and the residents are generally friendly. We picked this community because it offered activities and is located in a nice walkable area of Davis which is generally safe. I would recommend- Only if their loved ones were quite independent..

I think most places lie about what they can do, so I suppose the best option is to pick the cheapest place and hope it's not horrible. Before moving into the facility, they say they can do everything. Once there, they can't do any of what they said. They grossly misrepresent the activities. Selected this because it seemed decent and affordable for the long term. As soon as someone needs help, the costs start to ratchet up quickly and they do not consistently deliver the services being charged.

I have been here going on 3 weeks. The heat in apartment has only worked about 3 days out of the time. I moved here from California and don’t have a car yet. I have a great deal of health problems but sm quite young and a good mobility. So after the 1st week I was reassessed and reduced al cart services based on my health. Now I am low man on the scale. No rides etc. in the upside the staff is great on many levels. The food is better than average but repetitive even only after a couple of weeks.

There are some wonderful dedicated caretakers at Atria who are kind and helpful to people needing their care. I do think that they need better food choices for that age population- less specific (ie southwestern etc). Ask the residents what they like/don't like. Activities often appear to be simple and not attractive to an educated resident.

They need staff that can handle difficult residents. The aides get offended and won't help them but these residents are old and this is just what happens. The price just keeps increasing and the aids can't do very much clinically. Some information I was given at the beginning was incorrect and I'm not happy with the pricing

When it comes to the friendliness of the staff, some are very but some are never around like the directors or anyone who could fix anything. We would rate the breakfast a 4 our of 5, but the supper more like a 2 out of 5. All activities are not very convenient, the gym is to small and there are no trips off site. Too expensive. No credit for meals missed Housekeeping is a joke. Can't touch any thing. Does not use a mop to do floors. Would not recommend. The residents are sweet and deserve better

1. Generally speaking, food is good. 2. Activities are mixed. Some okay. Most are dull. 3. Nursing aides are competent and helpful. The emergency button is a highly useful touch. 4. Facilities are excellent.
