Atria

We had a nice tour experience with Atria Forest Hills. There were many orthodox Jewish residents here and it would have been a great fit for my loved one. The parking situation was just very hard - they only have a circle drive out front otherwise you have to go find parking in a residential area. The facility is in between a lot of buildings and the location just felt congested and difficult to get around.

The food is gourmet quality. We have been there several times and the chefs are cooking it, it is better than a lot of restaurants. Not everybody there is 100% sharp anymore, but it would be great if they were able to put something online so a relative could talk to their loved ones about the meals and be more involved. I find the activities are lacking - I think there needs to be more activities for those who are able to walk or just have a cane. They have great concerts and things like that, but they need more interaction for those who are less sharp. It would be great if they could post the activities schedule online as well. There is quite a bit of turnover, most the people we interacted with in the beginning are gone and have not been filled. They do give my loved one proper care. My loved one has a beautiful apartment and is very comfortable. Overall I would absolutely recommend Atria Cutter Mill - we have friends who go to visit and say they want to come here when the time comes! It looks like a fancy hotel. The atmosphere and ambiance is very warm and has a beautiful façade - it really stands out and that is the main reason we chose this facility. The location is also great and not congested.

They don't always clean, my loved ones room but the facility is always clean. They are polite but not always helpful. The staff is not necessarily what they seem. There has been an issue with the nurses, on the night staff, in which they are not always consistent with checking on my loved one. The food is okay, but sometimes they overcook the fish and chicken. The residents are lovely. They need to add more activities.

Some of the staff are excellent. They are very kind to my Mom who is in memory care. I wish they would try harder to get her to wear clean clothes and shower more often. Overall I would recommend Atria Grapevine to others.

Atria Covina is an excellent place. Price wise and personality wise it fit what I needed perfectly. Everyone here is so friendly. I would definitely recommend the facility and hope that they keep up the good work!

This was a good tour with good staff. The hallways were long and dark for us. The cost was more than we wanted to spend.

This is a pretty good place overall. There is a bunch of old people here according to my loved one. Overall I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. There are three meals a day and there are choices for the residents to choose from. It would be nice to see the staff remember who the family and resident's are after signing up. There also could be more servers in the dining room

I toured Atria Collwood and I didn't really care for it. The overall appearance just seemed not very well kept. It didn't look clean. I will say, though, the staff was very friendly.

She does have her own room and likes having the independence. The food is very good. I have tasted a lot of what mom eats and it is great. Everyone goes out of their way to try and be really friendly and helpful. It is a pretty big place, so sometimes there is gaps in communications. Overall I really like the facility, it is working out well for now.

I definitely think it's a good atmosphere and it's clean here at this facility. One thing mom has said is that food is not good. I've noticed that there's not a lot of protein options. I think it could improve as far as being more balanced and healthy, especially for special diet needs. Communication with the family is very good. They have a good variety of activities and also offer transportation. Housekeeping is once a week and thorough. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

My suggestions for improvement would be better food. Not bad just not that diverse or interesting and while it is hard to staff they would be better if they had a full time driver for group outings and they need to think hard about more activities internally that engage the mind.

This was not my favorite because the lady there acted like she was ready to put my loved one straight into memory care and my loved one is not even close to that.

The staff members here are wonderful they are absolutely terrific and I cannot believe they can remember everyone's first name. I do not participate in the activities but there are plenty of different things available for the other residents. It is a little expensive but I do feel that I am getting my money's worth. However the meals here are terrible - they could use some major improvement.

My stay worked out very well here. The staff members were always personable and helpful. The Medical Staff were all especially friendly. Everything was usually pretty clean. Housekeeping was done once a week- they cleaned our living areas and the bathrooms. The hallways were always clean. The meals were always good. Communication was good, they always answered my questions. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

I toured this facility and it looked nice. We were looking for Memory Care and didn't like that the Memory Care unit here was totally separated from the rest of the facility. Not quite what we were looking for.

The facility is short staffed, especially in the dining room and the bistro. I think we were oversold on the dining/food experience. But my mother loves her apartment and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

I really liked Atria San Juan. I actually would have loved to place my loved one here, but they would not accept him. He has frontal lobe dementia and a CPAP machine so he did not qualify. It looked like a great place.

I visited the Atria as I am considering it for my father. Our mistake was entering off the GCP entrance (this entrance is isolated and no staff was present to greet or give instructions). Once we made it to the main floor, it was quite a change. Very impressive. Mr. [name removed] was informative, patient, courteous and kind. He spent a full hour discussing my fathers needs and explaining the facility. He then spent an additional hour touring us. He took the time to say hello to the residents along the tour and ask them how their day was going, a nice quality you don't see in many people anymore. The facility was clean, staff were friendly and they seem to provide excellent care. We stayed for lunch, got to try the food and observe the residents and staff in the next room. The food was excellent and I'm sure my dad will love that part if he moves here. As a thank you, we received a banana chocolate chip pound cake - delicious! We look forward to continued dealings with the Atria.

I would recommend the community to others. I would make sure that you make sure it is the right fit for your loved one. If you want quick response to questions or concerns, this may not be the place for you. There can be delays due to waiting on doctors; however, the staff that keep talking to you are very friendly. Some requests are not done in a timely manner, and this can be frustrating sometimes. The staff are good at checking on the residents and keeping them safe. There are three meals a day served and there is also a bistro area for the residents to pick up items to take with them.

The staff is very nice. They are caring towards the residents, and get involved in the activities. The staff are good at trying to get the residents involved in the activities. The staff serve the meals in the dining room, and if the resident doesn't want to leave their room, they will deliver the meals to the resident's rooms. The staff communication with the family is good anytime we have questions.
