Atria

It is a well run facility with a fabulous staff. The care and services are delivered with great attention to detail and the needs of the residents. I would recommend it. But be aware that the costs can easily ramp up quickly if additional care or service is needed.

-The staff are very kind and helpful with the residents. -The residents have created a welcoming environment for new people and there are a lot of activities to get involved with.

I found this facility to be very well-staffed with genuinely kind and caring people. They did their very best to make sure that my mother’s specific needs were taken care of. The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is that the food really leaves something to be desired. Other than that I can honestly recommend this facility.

1. Discuss with staff upfront how best to communicate with them on a regular basis ( the nurses, housekeeping, activities people, finance office, etc) 2. Atria is a nice, quiet place that always feels calm and friendly. My mom really enjoyed it there.

Generally, and maybe not just the Atria, I would say that for people in Memory Care for dementia (where my Mom was), it's really just a holding area for the people there. That's not "bad," but my mom wasn't able to really have any sort of life after she had to be there. Her health was also declining, so that played into it too. I will say that some staff weren't sure how to deal with my mom, as she was still very verbal, whereas a lot of the other people in Memory Care weren't able to engage. My mom never "liked" being in assisted living, so she didn't make it easy on those around her. I would recommend the Atria, but I'd also make it clear what help is there, and what isn't. I was told once that my mom needed nail clippers, so that she could take care of herself. I bought a manicure set, and when I brought it to her, one of the staff told me I couldn't give it to her because of sharp objects. Why was I told to get them in the first place then? Who knows... I do wonder how residents with no family around are able to advocate for themselves.

The food needs improvement in variety. Transportation needs more drivers for appointments and outings. Also, communication between departments needs better coordination so that everyone is on the same page about what is happening with the residents.

They are a better fit for someone who is more independent and social. They are not very equipped with high levels of care. Their community is best for people who need less care. The food was probably totally fine, but my grandma was picky.

My parents appear to be very happy with the home. The meals are great, staff are very pleasant and courteous. I was very pleased that their pets were welcomed. The Mothers day luncheon was great for the family to visit all at one time.

Very excellent staff. Service is slow and sometimes they run out of items on the menu.

I had the pleasure of viewing this facility with [name removed] the Atria Covina representative. I was inquiring for a suitable home for an 88-year-old relative. The residents seemed to enjoy their cozy home. Knowing that the residents are limited to 66 rooms is a plus due to the personalized service to each individual. The location was well suited for close shopping, medical appointments, outings and friends living close by. I appreciate all the services provided to the residents and the opportunity to tour this happy place.

We are very glad that we've moved in here we have found that the staff is very helpful very professional it's run very well our cleaning is done every week our sheets are washed every week for us towels if we want the food is pretty good for a facility like this and we have a nice heated pool so I would recommend this for anybody looking for a really decent place to live.

Atria is a wonderful community!

We like it alot. The food is really good and there are plenty of activities and events. We would recommend it to others. It is an older facility, but it is friendly, cozy and comfortable. Our one complaint is they raised everyone's rates 10% last fall in mass. Their business office is not equipped to deal with many people responding to that letter at once. There is a lack of communication and professionalism in this area.

Overall, this is the best place for her, although no where is perfect, staff are willing to listen and work together for Moms best care. The entertainment and food are great! Sometimes they are low in staff. It is expensive, but worth it!

My partner came to live at The Atria at Marland Place because his needs for assistance were greater than is could provide & keep working. Though the transition has been tough for him, the staff have continued to check in on him, help him make adjustments, and insure that he is at each meal, participates in activities, etc. Each time in a kind, caring manner, without talking down to him. Residents have been welcoming, caring for each other, and accepting of his and other's limitations. This is all so critical for my guy, who is a very proud man & used to be in charge of a large hospital.

We have used Atria Park of Vintage Hills a few times for respite stays for my loved one. All of our experiences with them have been very good so far. The cleanliness and the meals are good. The friendliness, staff and care services are great. Based on our experiences, I would recommend Atria Park of Vintage Hills to others.

Overall the Atria Park community has a bright and welcoming environment. The areas within the community are well lit so there isn't a sense of heaviness while moving throughout the community.

It is an excellent facility, but they have staffing issues which can affect the timeliness and quality of their services. I would still recommend this facility to others.

I'd say it's a solid facility that fits well for my mother's needs. Food and activities are well done and staff is helpful and pleasant.

Staff really care about the residents. The facility is nicer than most but could use a little bit of updating. Most of my concerns get addressed. I would recommend Atria Grapevine to others looking.
