The staff caring for the residents in dementia unit are very caring and friendly.

Some communication fumbles happened during my parents' stay that led to delays in them getting nursing care/seen by a doctor when requested (I ended up taking my mom to urgent care myself when the promised concierge doctor arrangements didn't get made as expected). I chalk it up to there having been several staff/admin people away due to both holidays and illness, but was still rather frustrated that a primary support function (medical care) required so much attention on my part and still didn't work as expected. That said, this was overall a good experience, and helpful in familiarizing my parents and me with what assisted living can provide. I'm glad they came out to give it a try, and that Atria meant they could stay so close by. The atmosphere there was warm and friendly, and my mom especially appreciated being able to let the daily chores be taken care of while she enjoyed reading or doing word puzzles for a change.

Honestly, I don't know what to expect, but I would say that activities, or a better way to integrate newcomers. My mother has been there for months and has made a few acquaintances, but my sister and I are thinking she is not getting involved in anything in the community. I admit she can be a cranky old lady, and wants to probably sleep all day (as she does), so I really don't know what to expect, or if this is completely expected. We were hoping she would find the motivation to get up and explore, improve her health, and become an active member of the community.

The Sales Director is one of the most helpful people I have met!

They are communicative and answer questions in a time efficient manner. They greet you when you come in with a friendly smile.

The facility has a very friendly and caring staff and my mother has settled in and is happy there. The Facility is experiencing some turnover in staff within the sales and executive level so we experienced some contradictions from staff with procedures and documents not being consistent. But overall happy with the decision to move my mom there.

I have been pleased with the Memory Care caregivers so far. I go to see my husband every day so feel I have a good perspective. They are very good to my husband and me. My issues are more with the facility itself. The maintenance people can't seem to get to repairs in a timely manner . We've had a constant problem with the temperature in my husband's room- it's either too hot or freezing cold in the early mornings. This is true for other parts of the bldg too. It takes a while to get things like showers repaired. I realize the bldg is over 20 yrs old so there will be some issues. The quality of the food seems to have changed over time too. My husband is happy there and it's close to my home so right now we are content with his care there. I'm sure everyplace has their issues. It's also affordable and its proximity to my home allows me to go daily which is important. Another thing- some modernization needs to take place. The emergency call buttons are on the wall near the bedroom doors and not next to the beds as in his previous place. Hallway light that dim at night would be helpful as when care staff comes in the room the bright lights can startle the residents.

The food over the time my parents have been there has significantly decreased in quality. Paying too much for poor quality food.

Great activities director, the general staff are a mix of just polite enough and very polite. Receptionist have all been great. The nursing staff is good, but they seem a little overworked.

Communication needs to be improved, especially regarding misplaced bedding or clothing items, so that we can obtain or replace them. We appreciate that our loved one is safe, receives her medication, and has quality meals and snacks provided three times a day. We no longer worry about her falling, unpaid bills, property maintenance, or whether she has food to eat and remembers to take her medication. It truly brings peace of mind to our family.

Exceptional support and kindness from front desk staff and maintenance staff. Wonderful care and concern from Wellness Center although mom only needed minimum care for a few weeks. Challenging to order foods that meet her dietary needs. This has recently changed. When mom moved in about a year ago, there was a different chef who took the time to get to know the residence and suggested alternatives to the menu that would meet their dietary needs. Wonderful activities of all kinds in the building and also transportation is provided to activities in the local area. Driver is super kind and helpful!

The value for cost is to say, elder care is expensive! She’s been there just [date removed] so it’s a little premature to rate, but I would definitely recommend this community to other families.

The staff is very warm and helpful to me whenever I reach out. There were issues with my mom's social interactions in the dining room that I felt could have been handled better but they eventually worked it out. It's a nice place but my mom is not having an easy time adjusting. I think it would be hard anywhere. I think it is a really nice facility.

Facility is clean and welcoming. Staff is always friendly and engaged (Haley specifically in memory care is amazing)

Now in memory care. Much better staff. Much better activities. Very unhappy with admin. Yes I would recommend

My husband was in memory care. The caregivers were beyond excellent. Each one was kind, compassionate and gentle. Your loved one will be well taken care of . You on the other hand Beware of the sales staff and the contract paperwork administration. I found contradictions between verbal and contract papers and was being pushed hard to do what they wanted vrs what was required and they were hoping to use my vulnerability at the moment . But it was about the care so I would highly recommend

My parents are in memory care, the staff takes good care of them, they eat well and are happy there. If anything happens to them, fall,cut, dizziness etc.. they call me and let me know, if serious enough they call emt's and they let me know if they think they should go to emergency. I am kept aware of their needs and health and I appreciate that they stay on top of things.

The staff generally were good with the memory care residents. My sole complaint is that they didn't have many activities other than watching music videos. One trip a week.

Biggest negative was having the rent go up just under [price removed] after only living their 9 months. It felt like a bait and switch. Admin staff is not very friendly or responsive. Care staff is lovely and personable. Overall my mom really likes it there. I handle all the admin/billing so she doesn't have to interact with admin staff.

The staff was caring and supportive. The facility is beautiful. The food options are not as extensive as other atria facilities. Lunch is a small boxed lunch and breakfast is a muffin/cereal/fruit. The cost for facility is high and should cover better food options. Our experience was wonderful with all of the staff. The community was lovely. The rent however was increased 11.5% this year which was disconcerting and non negotiable.
