Atria

Atria Center City has recently replaced most of their senior management. That may be a positive move based on comments from former residents. The facility itself is very nice as is the food. The care is improving and is the biggest question mark so far.

I just received a letter that my mom's rent was going up [fee removed] per month which is a [fee removed] increase. I spoke with the new executive director and he explained that it is typical for the rent to increase [fee removed] each year but after speaking with him, we worked out a lower increase. I do like Atria and know that my mom is in good hands.

My mom is fairly happy at Atria Bethlehem. She does wish the food was a little better. I personally think she's burning through her money too fast. I am looking at alternatives but won't pressure her to move. She's 93. It's her money. But the rent has gone up almost $[removed] in just 2 years. Outrageous corporate greed! The staff are very competent and caring and that means a great deal.

Overall the other residents are very friendly. They have plenty of activities but my dad is in memory care so that's limited.

They have assigned seating for all meals. You always have to sit with the same people to eat. They have a very regimented system about which tables get to go get their food first. I guess this is necessary to prevent the same person from always being first in line, however it is not very home like when you have to always sit with the same people regardless. Also, the meals are precisely at one hour. For example, 11 to 12 for lunch. And if you miss it… Too bad. That doesn't seem right to me either. My mom only stayed there a short time. She had no complaints. These were just things I observed. The people were friendly. Mom only had a temporary need, but if she were ever to go back for a long time, she would consider going back to that same place.

I was very reluctant to move. I was was not feeling well and it was a rocky start. The staff and other residents made the move much easier. I am now happy with my decision to move. I feel cared for and safe.

It's a nice place with nice rooms. Friendly and quiet environment. Tenants a little frustrated with decreased staffing over the past couple of years. Rent rises considerably every year. They could add more activities, they do not have many offered.

Moved my sister in, the moving worked well, including their assessment of her needs. Having not visited yet, I can’t honestly assess. So far so good. Kind of premature to do a review of the required 200 words.

The office staff is responsive and return emails and phone calls on a timely basis. Some of the aids are not as "nice" but most are fine. The common areas are kept quite clean. The residence rooms are clean enough. Receptionists are very friendly and helpful. The activities and performances are wonderful. Overall its a nice place. They go out of their way to decorate for the holidays.

We were attracted by the staff, grounds, value and activities. I would recommend to others.

I can only go by memory care. It was different in the assisted living upstairs. Better meals and activities up there. All new flooring upstairs. All the staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend. They keep the grounds beautiful. They decorate inside. They have many activities. The only downfall I had was that they didn't do too many activities in MC 1 which is the memory care unit on the lower level. But the aides down there were wonderful.

I think if you have limited funds and need a roommate great place. Just wish food better, activities better. We picked them because of the level of functioning of residents, ability to have a roommate in a separate room, vlt rate, people seemed nice

We picked this facility, mostly because of the location. When visiting the place seemed clean and free of odors. People seemed friendly and satisfied with services. The place and staff is nice.

My Dad liked the vibe. He is happy there.

Mom passed away [date removed]. I would recommend this facility. But, I was always there. I think this makes a difference.

The community could use a refresh, but the staff members at Atria are all very friendly and helpful. When it comes to the meals sometimes the dinners were served cold. Price was fair especially when compared to some other places. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families, mainly due to price and staff

The community is good. And they always have activities for the residence. The place was clean and close my home.

What we like the most about Atria Harborhill is the overall experience, the cleanliness, friendliness of the staff and the quality of care. We would recommend this community to other families.

The staff is very friendly but the ratio is between staff and residents is high. My father needed more eyes and checks to make sure he was cleaning himself after the bathroom and hydrating. With many residents and lesser staff, he wasn't getting the attention he needed. It was a nice facility and with caring staff, but they have a lot of others to care for as well.

Nice facility. Staff tries very hard and does very well. Meals can be spotty in terms of value. They often have personnel shortages in dining room but try very hard to minimize any negative impact on residents. Residents are all elderly and many have problems with getting around. They have many activities some of which are innovative. Management is very involved in daily activities and quick to address any issues. All in all a caring place, that seems to be reasonably priced and well managed. They do have a “small” memory care unit but their main focus is assisted living units with only minor medical care.
