The staff ends up feeling like family and everyone knows each other's name in the facility and that was very assuring. My dad loves the staff

I did have a chance to speak to several residents in the general assisted living at Atria in Newhall. They were quite satisfied with the facility, their meals, the staff, and the activities. Unfortunately my father's condition diminished rapidly, and he was in the memory care unit after the first month and didn't communicate by this point. He did suffer several falls, do supervision of patients in the memory care unit may not be as good as [community removed] After my father's last fall that occurred at Atria, he sustained a head injury, spent a few months in the hospital, and then was transferred to a residential house set up as a nursing home of six patients. He received better care than what the Atria memory care offered.

Staff does a very good job! The food and service in the dining room is good. Front desk staff are very friendly. They always greet me when I go in out and out the building. Residents are friendly as well.

The facility is only a 10 minute walk from the Long Island railroad station. Or a 3 to 5 minute bus ride. It is located in a lovely, well kept residential neighborhood, Which makes for pleasant walks with your family member. It is also within walking distance of a a small business center that has a couple of restaurants, a diner, a pastry shop, hair salons, etc. note that my Number evaluations were for the memory care center and for a resident who is in the middle of the dementia spectrum

What stands out the most is their persistence in getting my Aunt and other residents engaged in activities. I think this is a huge plus. The only negative I have is that sometimes it takes several tries/ calls/ texts or e-mails to get clarification or answers to a question.

I’m a current resident and have been here 7 years. Made good friends, both in other residents and the staff. I’m on the resident council and I enjoy working with my fellow residents. Staff is very friendly and I love meeting new residents.

My experience overall with staff has been positive, sometimes it takes a couple of days to get a response from heads of departments, but I understand that they have their hands full. As far as cost, I know it's less expensive than other places we looked at, but, it's also just shocking how expensive the cost of living is for our elders. Also, on a different note, I want to thank you and your company for what you do. When I started this journey a little over a year ago, I had no idea what to do, or how to look for assisted living for my dad. A friend of mine referred me to A Place For Mom, and I felt like you guys held my hand the whole way. Not just pointing me in the right direction, and explaining how things work, but following up, and answering questions. You guys are the best!

When it comes to the care services my biggest concern is that they continue to increase his nursing "level of care" but I haven't seen an increase in his care, nor do I think he needs it. lots of turnover with the staff. I think if they want a small feel, where even the front desk people know the residents, it's a good fit. However, they increased rent by [percentage removed]% at the start of this year and has increased my dad's nursing care level so he is paying $[fee removed]k more than when he started exactly 1 year ago.

The facility is clean and inviting. The staff is friendly and yes, we would recommend Atria Park of Glen Ellyn to other families

Knowing that my mother is safe and happy gives me such peace of mind. She is happy and everyone is hide and friendly. Mom is especially impressed that by day two all the dining room servers knew her name. I am happy with the care she receives by everyone.

The building is bright and airy and always clean. The staff is personable and takes time to get to know the residents. The administration was in flux, so sometimes there was no manager of the building. The head nurse was rarely in the building and was difficult to contact. My mother-in-law was sent to the hospital after a fall, and the hospital staff, not Atria's, told us that she couldn't live there anymore.

My mother is settling in nicely at Atria since moving in mid January. Turned out to be a very good choice for her. Everyone is friendly and welcoming while giving her adequate time to settle in. She is participating in a number of activities provided at Atria, complements the food/meals and loves the access to walking outdoors along the waterway and through the Hometown neighborhood next door. She is also taking advantage of the bus and shuttle service provided and seems to meet her current needs. I personally have been pleasantly surprised with how quiet her apartment is and even with in building. My sister and I feel great about where she landed and Mother seems pretty happy!

For the most part, I feel mom is safe. There have been issues come up and there are things that I wish were better, but it is a very tough industry and there are a lot of moving parts so I take that into account. Most of the staff are caring and do a good job. Mom had a little higher cognition than others in memory care when she moved in which made it difficult to interact with others. That was not great for her. It was the interaction of the staff and still is that saves her. I wish there was an in between stage cognitively speaking :) There are times when the food has been, well, something I wouldn't eat other times are quite nice. But if it was me, I want every meal to be appetizing Also, another issue is the cleanliness. The floors always squeak like they're sticky. And as far as cleaning, they do it, but apparently they're not allowed to move furniture so who is supposed to clean all the little crumbs that can get behind there?

The staff at Atria Park are, without exception, superb. The facility is very attractive giving off "high end" vibes. Food could be improved. (I personally had more indigestion problems there than ever.) And the costs, including the "New Resident Fee" of $[fee removed], plus a [percent removed]% increase in rent in less than a year were my primary reason for leaving. (It is my understanding that this was done by Corporate, not Vintage Hills).

My Mom is on the Independent Living side and doesn’t require much care. Everyone, staff and other residents, are very friendly. The community has a lot of activities scheduled throughout the month. There are a number of options of food to choose when dining in the dining room.

My mom went on a tour of Atria Stamford in October and wanted to experience how life would be, not living in her own home. She did a 2 month trial run through the holidays, and although the Atria Stamford wasn't home, mom loved socializing with the other residents and meeting new friends. This prompted us to make Atria Stamford Mom's new home.

She finds the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. She says the other residents are very friendly. She loves all the activities that are offered . Now, as far as my experience, I can say that they always respond to my phone calls quickly. They let me know what's going on with my mother-in-law and they answer all my questions. I like the fact that the facility offers transportation to and from her doctors appointments. oh, also my mother-in-law says the food is good and She likes that they offer a different variety. And that's about all I can say. I hope this is helpful

Based on when my aunt came to stay she did not learn the ins and outs of the apartment like how the heating worked. When we were told that she was going in as independent and able to cook on her stove they neglected to let us know that she had to be evaluated and after the evaluation it took over a month and several requests before it actually occurred. It seems when going to dinner at 5:00 many items on the menu were already gone and no longer available. Shortage of service help caused long delays in getting waited on. The tour when we first came so impressed my aunt that she decided to come again with other family to make sure this was the place she wanted to come to. One thing that I would let others know is that communication is the key. The staff of Atria were very professional and helpful when we arrived. The family liked that they did wellness checks when they have not seen her for meals or out and about."

Very friendly, welcoming and accommodating staff. Could improve on the food by providing more options, brighter presentation more fresh produce.
