Atria

The location of Atria is very convenient for our family. The appearance of the community really drew us in and is a reason we would consider this community. The staff is really friendly and maintains the community very well.

We have been very happy with Atria. Everything has just been great. The staff is extremely nice and our loved one seems to be extremely happy. Everything has really been good. We are glad A Place for Mom was able to help by providing us recommendations.

This community is located right next door to a Catholic Church so our loved one really liked that. It is also located close to family so it provides convenience when visiting.

We chose Atria Summit Ridge because it was near family and made it very convenient. We had heard of Atria before and from we knew it is a high quality brand. (Not in the area so this was done over phone and other family members helping)

Atria is a very good community and it provided us with peace of mind while our loved one was here. The staff is great, friendly and really accommodating. They have a very open line of communication whether it is with the residents, visitors or among their own staff. We do not have to repeat ourselves every time we speak with a different staff member. Sandy was just great and very helpful. She was a main reason we liked this community. We feel like the residents here are at a different level then our loved one, he is more mobile then others and feel like he does lack a little socialization. Atria Huntington felt very safe and we were able to have peace of mind. We are very happy and would recommend this community to anyone.

Since my siblings and I live out of town I called A Place For Mom and Sondra told us about Atria Center City. Our cousins were also familiar with Atria, so we were very please with the A Place For Mom process. I really like the way Atria took care of my mom, and how they handled everyone in our family. They were very caring especially when helping my mom adjust. I am also very impressed at how good the staff members are at knowing everybody who comes in. They remember residents and their apartment numbers and family members. They always make you feel comfortable. I also liked that they called me to invite us to see the property, very timely.

We chose this community because of friendliness of the staff and the overall cleanliness of the community. It has a really good setup, its setup like a wagon wheel so everything is in the center and the spokes are the hallways to the rooms. They had a Father’s Day celebration and they had excellent BBQ chicken and ribs. The soup they had was really full of flavor and was very hearty rather then runny. The community has lots of beautiful trees and is simple beautiful. Betty and Leake really stood out among the staff they really go above and beyond to make things happen. My mother was having some issues with her insurance and the staff here really helped get through it all by being really accommodating.

We chose the Atria Woodbriar becasue the person from A Place For Mom as well as some other people we spoke with recommended them. I was not quite sure how to rate value, that is too hard to rate this soon.

They are very accommodating. My Dad had some unique requirements/constraints that not every facility could accommodate. We were blessed they were able to have a space for my Dad. The place has a great family vibe, people seem happy there. It really is a senior LIVING community, not an "old folks home".

My friend loves the activities including the movies and lectures. People are very friendly and she's made nice friends. She also loves that it is near town and the daily light cleaning. She feels the food needs improvement. She is gluten intolerant and she can't get a gluten free meal most of the time. I am wondering why that should be a problem when so many people have this issue. They bread a lot of the food and she vomits quite often because of that. They also put pepper in food and she is allergic to that.

Caregivers are great, food is ok, room is a wonderful size and floor plan. Lots of turnover in the onsite management positions. They are also understaffed with caregivers and food servers. Lack of competitive pay for those positions could be the cause. Overall good experience because residents are nice.

Nurses and CNAs are top notch! Food and activities are good. They could improve by having a low income model that was transparent or a Masshealth continuation program.

Staff has been very cooperative and easy to get a hold of at the "management level. The floor staff has been very good to my mom also. As for activities, there is always something going on, my mom does not participate in those activities. The food quality and selection of daily meals is outstanding, my has never said anything bad about the meals. Cleanliness- aside from the issue we are having with my mom's "neighbor " who she share a suite with, it is very clean all the time. Room size is sufficient for what we were looking for. I do like the small cafe for us visitors who can enjoy a cup of coffee while visiting my mom or when she has visitors.

Place was lovely and very clean. It was very easy to get around and was well set in a good location.

Everyone I've met here has been very nice and welcoming. Lots of activities are offered. My only real disappointment is that they don't have any kind of 24 hour medical If you fall. They don't pick you up, but call EMTs. It would be nice to have a 24 hr nurse line or some kind of medical support. I know it isn't assisted living but someone to answer questions would be wonderful. I was taken to the hospital due to a minor health problem. Over the holiday there was no one present to release me! Inconvenient.

Generally very happy here. Had a bad experience initially when they raised the rent $[removed]/month after we had been here 5 months. But I hated the apt anyway so we moved to a different location that I like much better. Hope they don't raise the rent too much this year. Food is good, not gourmet but definitely edible. It is generally possible to mix and match food items to come up with something I like. Staff are very accommodating and pleasant. LOVE the heated indoor pool; it is one of the main reasons we moved here. Apartments are large and have a lot of storage space. Things are not always as they are touted to be but everything usually works out after awhile.

My dad has been there about one month and seems quite happy there. He says the food is better than he expected. He likes the programming. It’s nice that the staff checks in on him. They all seem quite friendly and nice. And SO many of the staffers have been there for a LONG time!! (a good sign). His apartment is a perfect size. Great services of housecleaning and laundry provided. Where they've fallen a bit short: He isn’t feeling fully comfortable with regard to meeting people. \n\nOur sales person left the Atria before Dad arrived, so there wasn’t someone “looking out for him” as he settled in. The promised "ambassadors" never showed up to introduce dad around. He was promised that a bridge game would get found for him and that has not yet happened. We are sure these little issues will be resolved. All of us are pleased with the choice we made to move Dad to this place!

My sister, is in a small studio apt. Her contract is for independent living, but because of studio apt availability, she is in the assisted living Bldg. Everyone - staff and residents - is very nice. Food is ok with several choices. Good range of activities are offered.

Your heating and cooling systems need more upgrading/maintenance. Its either too hot or too cold in resident rooms, the Bistro, and the dining room. the quality of the food, although a bit better than with the previous "chef", is not what it used to be. The wait staff in the dining room is amateurish. You get what you pay for?
