Atria

Overall, I am pretty satisfied with Atria. One thing that I would like to see would be more activities for the memory care residents. It would be nice to see them get out a little bit more and be able to walk outside more often. However, this community fit our needs and the proximity is great!

My grandfather has lived here 5 years now. He really enjoys it here. He likes to play cards. Poker and black jack is played throughout the week and really enjoys it. He really enjoys doing exercise every morning with all the other residents. His smile is back and his confidence is high. The employees here are very passionate and their care to residents is awesome. One less thing we as a family we have to worry about. The management is great. If my family or I have a question or concern, they are more than willing to hear us out and solve the issue. They have an open door policy which is good to see that they don't hide behind a closed door. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a place for their loved one.

My grandmother has lived at Regency of Evergreen since 2012, and loves it! She loves the daily activities, especially the outings with the residents which includes shopping and eating out at restaurants. I am pleased to have chosen Regency of Evergreen for my grandmother and wouldn't change it for anything. They have a caring staff who makes sure that each resident is well taken care of. Your team goes above and beyond what is expected of them! Our family doesn't know how to thank you enough! If you are looking for a place for your loved ones, ths is the place to be. A caring and devoted staff. You will not be disappointed!

This was lovely, and a very nice community. It was clean and the people were friendly. We just wanted something with less people and this was a little large for us. We wanted something, that wasn't so corporate or part of a conglomeration.

They have been very accommodating. The food is sublime, and the service people and the waitstaff is wonderful. They have a beauty shop and she thought that was fantastic. I would like to see Wi-Fi access in the community. I was shocked that in the 21st century there was no Wi-Fi access, especially considering the amount of money they charge. I think this is mostly inconvenient for the families visiting the residents.

My father has resided here for just over a month now. The staff and management are very friendly and welcoming. He enjoys the food and is very happy with his studio apartment. At 94 the move has been difficult for him and he is having some issues adjusting, but those are not due to the facility itself. Atria Valley View is a beautiful facility - peaceful and upbeat at the same time. We would recommend that other families tour this facility for their elderly loved ones.

The employees here really are excellent! They're incredibly friendly, caring, and professional. I like that all of the caregivers know the residents by name and interact with them on a more personal level. If I was going to suggest one way for them to improve I think that they could try to have a few more activities geared towards the men in the community.

I was concerned about moving my mother into an assisted living arrangement, mostly due to my misconceptions of assisted living arrangements. From the first day, the staff at Atria proved that assisted living is an excellent choice for aging parents. They were very welcoming and encouraged my mother to engage in the activities (a major accoplishment). I highly recommend Atria.

It has been excellent. They just did a wonderful job. They have been very good about providing referrals for other services. The food is consistantly good. I think that the orientation is such that it creates expectations and you have to do different things at different times such as, the podiatrist, or diaper service, and it would be easier if it was disclosed at the front end it would be better if those things were on a set schedule or if they were disclosed in the lease in writing. We chose it over others because it was nice and well kept, but mostly it was the director and the nurse practitioner who made a house call, and made specific recommendations. They were knowledgeable about the needs and had good advice.

This is a very nice place. The facility itself is very attractive from the outside, and it is location in a nice area. The staff have always been incredibly friendly, I'd rate them higher than 5 stars if I could! The caregivers are always happy to help, and there is 24 hour nursing care available. The food is also good here!

We chose Atria for it's beauty, location and pleasant staff and that they were willing to do a respite stay for my husband when I needed to travel and he couldn't. The staff were all helpful , accommodating and pleasant. The food was abundant and mostly very good. Because we eat no meat or poultry we were limited in choices since there weren't many vegetarian dinners. I stayed one week to help him get acquainted .The only problem we had was a adjoining . apartment played the tv all night. The staff kept working on the problem until it was resolved. When we were packing the car to leave i couldn't get an item into the car and was going to leave it. A women volunteered to help ;came down to the parking area and made it fit. Turned out she was a nurse on staff going off duty. What a great staff!

I like it very much. My mother is on the memory care floor, which is known as Life Guidance. It is part of the assisted living, but it is a locked floor. I think that the friendliness and the responsiveness of the staff is a very very big plus. I can say that I have been very happy with a number of the staff who are extremely important to my experience: the admissions, the concierge, the major people in the wellness center, the director of Life Guidance and any of the staff on that floor. Although there is often change in leadership, I have had a good experience with the executive director of Atria Riverdale. I have visited about 15 memory care floors in nursing homes, in independent/assisted living and this one is the best I have seen and that includes NYC, Riverside, Bronx, Yonkers, Southern VT and Mass. I think the food is quite OK, they make very fresh salads and serve fresh fruit everyday. That is a plus. They do not accept Medicaid even after private paying for a length of time.

Mom has been with Atria in their Life Guidance unit now for 2 weeks. Our expectations of what Atria and the staff could provide in the way of care for Mom was especially high due to past experiences. So far the facility and staff have lived up to those expectation. The facility is clean and well kept, The residents are clean and well dressed. A hair and manicure appointment are set up right away. It is amazing to see how these 2 small things can make such a huge impact on Mom's outlook. The residents are included in activities (which are provided throughout the day) and encouraged to participate. Staff is attentive and eager to provide whatever assitance is needed, they really seem to want to help to make Mom's day to day life as fulfilling as possible. For me, I feel like I can finally take a deep breath and know I have done the very best that I can for her.

The staff was really nice. Their clientelle were more confused than our family member. They were well supervised. They did have a memory care unit. They had a very dreary dining room. It's hard to give somebody a grade when you weren't there a long time. The staff was very nice, the cook came out and greeted us. It just wasn't a good fit for my mom. They really went out of their way to be kind though.

We liked the facility. They were very helpful and accomodating. During the move in process we were getting cable and phone installed and we couldn't be there but they were able to take care of it, so I would say they are pretty acommodating.

My aunt has been a resident at 86th Street for almost two years now. She came from living by herself in a large private home and was very worried about making the change to a small apartment and living in a hotel type of setting. She adjusted very well and enjoys the company of others and the great social program activities ([removed] music, lectures, Jewish Culture etc.) available to her on a daily basis. We the family love the staff that seem so nice and caring. WE all feel good knowing that our Aunt is cared for in a safe, clean and nurturing environment with great activities. We can all sleep better because of Atria 86.

It is a wonderful place to enter from the hospital. Staff is very caring and giving. They learn the wants and needs of the residents.

The friendliness of the staff is outstandingly wonderful, if I am rating that on a scale of one to five I would give it a ten. The one thing I will say is that the level of the food has gone down since I've been here and that's only been two months and they are running out of things, things like eggs, and when we have cake and it gets around to me oh they're out of cake, it's unacceptable. The quality of the food is good, for institutional food. They have excellent activities and they have outings and they will take you to the library even if you are the only one who wants to go. They have a wide variety of things to do, I am watching the dead sea scrolls. They have a wide variety of of great music concerts, arts and crafts, any kind of craft, knitting group and they will teach you how, movies. So many things to do! The person in charge is really out to help people they will set up activities because of peoples interests what ever you are interested in there is something for you. They have brain teasers everyday.

My mom has been a resident of Atria Briarcliff since August. She is receiving wonderful care. Every staff member is kind, caring and extremely competent. My mom's mental state and physical well being have improved remarkably since her arrival. Medication management is excellent. The facility is beautifully maintained and always clean. The food is very good. The activities are excellent and keep the residents engaged. I cannot say enough about this facility and would recommend it highly.

Toured the building and was very impressed. Great facilities, all the residents seemed to be thrilled about all the activities and amenities available to them. In a fabulous location and overall a great place.
