Transition to memory care was available at the facility, without having to move after potential required changes in care level. I would encourage future residents and families to ask detailed questions about exactly what is included in the monthly cost — including how much, how often, and any limitations. For example, we were initially told meals were included, but later learned it was only two meals per day, and breakfast was continental rather than a full hot meal. We were also told transportation for doctor’s appointments and grocery trips was included, but it turned out to be limited to one designated day per week within a short time window. I don’t believe anything was intentionally deceptive, but some details felt glossed over and could have been explained more clearly. My advice would be to really dig into the specifics so you fully understand what to expect.

This is a 20yr old property that could use Fresh light paint and vinyl or laminate flooring minus old carpet.The main level was primarily small 1 bedrooms and we need a 2 bedroom on the main floor. The common rooms are well kept and cozy. Residents interacted with us at a good and filling lunch and they were very happy there. There is a pool and a workout room Pus clubhouse with lots of activities .

While this community is absolutely beautiful and offers a wide variety of activities and outings, it's important to note that you will likely need to pay separately for aides, which can be an additional expense. That said, I would definitely recommend it. The atmosphere is lovely, there are plenty of engaging activities and trips available, and overall it provides a vibrant and appealing environment.

Her face lit up when she moved in. The staff was exceptional and the facility was top. The one thing that was difficult was the individual pricing on every service. If we were to need the same type of facility again we would choose this one.

I love the location and the "Aging in Place". Not having to move to a different apartment when you need more care is important to me. What I did not see was resident's in the hallways or anywhere. We saw only about 10 residents-most as we were getting off the elevator. Maybe we didn't see many residents because it was Sunday. I would go back during the week to see what activities residents are taking part in. It's always nice to talk to residents and see what they like and dislike. This facility is more expensive than others I have toured. But that may be because of the location and the size of the apartments. I will keep this facility as one of my top picks.

What I like most is it's very clean and the staffing is very, warm, nice and welcoming. There's different exercises daily and other art activities as well as live music multiple times a month. Atria Kew Gardens is Kosher, so their are many limitations. That being said, the food is good and there are several options. There's a specials menu as well as a second menu with offerings for each meal. They decorate, have special activities and foods for different holidays such as Valentines, Christmas, Chinese New Year and Ramadan to name a few. Overall, I enjoy living at Atria. I find it relaxing, I can find something to do if I wish to socialize and the environment is comfortable.

What we like the most about the community is the Friendly people, observant staff always willing to help, security. Yes, we would recommend Atria Grand Oaks to other families.

The staff is extremely friendly and the memory care director seems great. The food was fine, but it was bland.

I had a lovely visit to Atria Kew Gardens. [name removed] was my very informative and professional guide. The faculty is really outstanding. Just what we were looking for in that it appeared as a hotel atmosphere rather than a hospital/nursing home. The factor that eliminated Atria Kew Gardens from our consideration was the price and that you don’t deal with Medicaid which is an important aspect for us. The courtesy and positive attitude of the staff is exceptional. I would recommend to others.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Residents I observed seemed to know and like the staff members. Atmosphere as bright and cheerful.

Very good, the food is excellent! The only criticism is getting my mom to have less accidents over the night. We are supplying all of the parts but we were given an extra care charge of $[fee removed]/month.

This was a good clean facility with nice people who worked and ran the place. One common area was being repaired due to a sprinkler system break but it seemed well under control. We didn’t choose to go here due to another facility not having this issue and seemed to be a bit more comfortable.

Good staff, clean and bright over all. Nice people. I would highly recommend Atria. My only complaint would be that staff wasn't always great about getting back to me in a timely manner to answer my questions after I got mom moved in.

These questions are hard because I moved my dad back home to get 24/7 care. He absolutely hated being there. I believe it's a good facility for the right fit. My dad is in the tween stage of dementia and he needs more companionship with people closer to his stage of dementia. He's in a very difficult phase right now and memory care was just too confining for him. [name removed] the director of the Guided Care was great. I wish I had known more about memory care before I moved him into the facility.

Everyone is very welcoming and friendly. There have been many changes in staffing, including 4 changes in culinary director in the 10.5 months we've been here. The food has been the biggest issue.

There are areas to sit outside and enjoy the sun; unlike other facilities, no "old people" smells; meal options: the Grille, the main restaurant. A suggestion would be to have one "point person" for questions a family member might have.

One issue I believe could be easily fixed would be a better orientation. The folder is good but a one on one orientation would've been very helpful.. I would definitely recommend Atria. That was one small recommendation. This is what Mom says to: "The staff is friendly and very on top of their game and the chef is even better" if Moms Happy, I'm happy

Had fancy setting. The first few months were good. My husband would not participate in anything. He was in the memory unit. He had no bladder or bowel control. Combative toward the aides. Fell and in a hospital. Took him to [community removed]. The surroundings were modest as was the food. The director and aides were fantastic to him. Kindest nicest people. They were amazing.

Staff was friendly. Facility was clean and had no bad smells. My father in law said it had a homey feel.
