Atria

I had the opportunity to visit this site on the charming upper west side of Manhattan. It is a beautiful facility, very nicely appointed and impeccably clean. They have an elegant library/sitting room, a café and a salon with a baby grand piano, befitting a New York establishment. But what was most impressive were the cultural [removed] a piano player playing old standards (with a sing-along), interesting current events presentation/discussion, and what looked like really creative art classes. All of these activities seemed very sophisticated and of a very high caliber. I wouldn't hesitate bringing my elderly relatives to Atria Wet 86.

Atria Palm Desert was recently bought out and completely redone. They redid the paint and carpets and really the entire facility. They did such a nice job. The rooms go from singles to two bedrooms. Staff is really accommodating. The residents all seem to really enjoy it. They have art classes, card games, and speakers. I've never had the food, but it looks great.

We're so pleased with Atria Great Neck. It's a wonderful place! It brought our relative back to where he was months ago. The care is wonderful. What I know is that he's being brought back to health. He's safe, he's fed well, his medication are being overseen and the people are wonderful.

They are extremely helpful, friendly, and make the community feel like home. My parents live here together. My mom is kind of shy, but they have started to draw out and do activities and she loves it. They put together dinners with other couples about once a month. They advertise that they have the highest percentage of couples, and they really do. I would recommend this for any couple looking for assisted living. My parents have a kitchenette in their room with a refrigerator, microwave, stove, sink. It was recently redone with granite counter top. Atria has a pool and barbecue outside, and a theater inside. My mother will eventually need more care, and Atria offers higher level of care on the same campus. It is not a locked down, but it is secure. They offer complementary transportation to doctor's visits and personal outings, such as going out to dinner.

We really liked this place, the food was absolutely delicious, it was wonderful. The think I didn't like about the place-one of the residents spoke to us about how much he and his wife liked it and how glad they were that they moved here, had my parents been in better health it would have been a good contender- but we just got so limited when we knew that we needed memory care. Regular care would not have been enough for my mother, especially with where she's at now.

Mom reluctantly viewed 3 establishments and settled on Atria Lafayette. She lied the quiet; friendly staff; and the few residents met during her visit. She has been there almost a week and is slowly settling in. This is a big change considering she has never been in an apt setting before, and spent the past 11 years alone in her home of 53 years. The staff has been attentive on helping her find things, transportation, service at meals, evening treats in her room (wine and cookies!).

We chose Mission Hills and it's worked out great. I looked at a few others and they were all clean and and nice. It was just a matter of price. She chose this one that she can afford out of her monthly income and still have money left over. The value there is excellent! Her apartment is very large and brand new. It's like 15 years old or newer. The staff is wonderful. We're all on a first name basis. They matched my mother up with a couple of people that are on her level. They still go out and drive and do stuff so right off the bat she had friends. It's as good as I could expect. They try very hard to have activities but people don't really participate. It's okay because there is a shopping center and a beauty parlor is right there. Everything my mom does is on one street. She's a lot healthier now that she's got the meals prepared for her. It's cozy comfortable place to be. I feel right at home there. I'm there all the time.

Judy was great and the facility was lovely. It was clean and well organized. Residents looked happy and busy. I felt a true sense of community & care. Will be going back for another look.

The people in the restaurant are just excellent. The food is okay. The housekeeping inside the rooms is good and I know they're activities available but my mother-in-law doesn't participate. So far we're happy with it. It's my mother-in-law that is not happy but doesn't have anything to do with Atria. Anywhere she goes she's not going to be happy. I like that there are more active people here. The memory care is separate so we don't see that. I think that made her a little more comfortable.

Very nice. I could see my sister here, but it is a little too expensive for her.

Everything has changed so much since my grandmother was in a place. Back then they were all like convalescent homes. Now, this place was like apartment living which is really nice! The people were nice. I really can't say anything bad about them.

It's expensive but I think it's a really nice place to live. 1. It's extremely clean 2. The ambience is very, very pleasant 3. The apartments are bright and light and well spaced. The bathrooms are very nice and large. 4. The people were defintiely kind and friendly and the food was excellent

I think atria is just perfect for my mom. Everything about it has either met or exceeded my expectations. Mom is just thrilled with it. I think it's good value. I think the industry as a whole is a little over priced. There are 3 levels of care and you pay an extra $350 for each level. Overall when we were pricing other communities and seeing what was available, Atria turned out to be a good value. She's only been there a month but so far she's contracted out for physical therapy and my mom loves the physical therapist. I think they're very tuned into her needs and how well she's doing. I think it's worked out very well. It was a good move for my mom.

Place seems nice, looks clean, doesn't smell, appears to be well kept.

We chose this facility and the staff has been very friendly and responsive to our mother's needs.

My father-in-law has resided at Atria Woodlands since August. This experience has provided him the socialization that living at home was no longer able to give him following the passing of my mother-in-law. He goes to each meal, a highlight of each day, knowing that he will have company and conversation while dining on food that he truly enjoys. He has proclaimed the chicken soup to be the best he has ever had, other than his wife's, of course. He also enjoys the musical events offered during the day and the evening movies. He has blossomed since coming to the Atria. I can not offer enough positive comments in describing the professionalism and kindness offered by every staff member, from the caring women who help him during the day, to the waiters and waitresses in the dining room, to the wonderful drivers who bring my father-in-law to his medical appointments, to the friendly staff who greet you at the front door, to the social worker who is always available to offer assistance, and to the nurses and physician in the Wellness Center who have provided extremely thorough and tender care.

I liked it very, very much and I wish my aunt had gone there earlier before it had turned into a pressing situation and she had to go into a lock down situation. We had gone and looked at it a year earlier and it was really nice, she just couldn't make up her mind where she was ready to go and then it turned into a situation where she was forced to go somewhere. I liked the way it appeared on the inside, it seemed like an open, friendly kind of place. To me it was more homey or more independent looking if you were going to transition into an assisted living. It was very clean, well kept and upscale, not depressing.

My mom is very happy there. She's in a two bedroom independent living apartment. She gets one meal per day and they also clean for her and they're on call if the have a medical emergency. I'd say it's good. They offer a variety of activities in the complex itself like cards and games and things. They also have seasonal parties and offer bus trips to various places around the community, local shopping and medical appointments. My mom is taking advantage of some of that but she's also still getting acquainted with the community. We probably looked at about a dozen more places in the Roseville, Rocklin, Sacramento area and I would say, hands down, this was the most attractive and appeared to meet my mom's needs most closely.
