At first, this place was great. It's newer, very clean, and staff was very friendly. They did an assessment with mom and prior to signing/move in we spoke with them several times and spent at least 5 hours here with the director and finance person. They explained everything to us. This was a big step for us and we were unsure. They assured us that they've been doing this for a very long time, there could be nothing they haven't seen before, and that they could handle any situation. To sum it up, it was not a good fit for mom. She spent a total of 3 hours here on her first day before they moved her to another facility to 'help her temporarily and get her medications leveled out.' They assured us several times that when the other facility agreed that she was ready, mom could come back. They even told us that when they billed us for the next months rent and we paid it. When the time came and the other facility said she was ready, they told us she wasn't a good fit and couldn't come back. We were frustrated and disappointed, but never expected them to keep all of the money that we had paid. Not being a good fit is one thing, but her being here for a total of 3 hours and it costing a total of $16,000 is beyond me. I don't understand it. The facility gave me the run around about a refund for awhile and eventually started to avoid my calls. I finally took it up with corporate and they offered a refund of $3,000 and said there's nothing else they can do. So no, I would not recommend them to anyone. Not just because of the money, but also because of the way they handled everything.

They were horrible. I would visit my mom and sit in the room with her for 8-10 hours. Not 1 person would come and check on her, assist her, nothing. They said they assisted her with showers, but she would be in the same clothes as the day before and no towels moved? I would call the administrator or text him. Never received anything back. We finally got cameras in her room (the administrator was aware and a sign was outside her door) , would see aides sitting on her walker and her couch. Eating her ice cream. Not assisting my mother in her kitchen. Wouldn’t even bring her walker to her (mom was prone to fall, and needed it) because they would be sitting on it. Every time my mom would go to the hospital, she would come back and have her meds all screwed up. There were days they wouldn’t offer her breakfast or lunch or assist her with anything. Her help button wouldn’t work so they gave her a whistle. She fell , laying in blood , to weak to hold it or blow for help. Skull fractured!

We showed up for our tour at Legacy Ridge Alpharetta and the person who was supposed to give our tour never showed up even though we were on the schedule. They told us we would need to come back but I live out of town so I told them that was not possible. They had someone from the kitchen give us the tour and they had no information and answers to our questions that we saw. It was very unorganized and not a good experience.

We were not impressed with our tour expeinrece at all. Right when we walked in there were people set up in the lobby selling jewelry which we did not like. When we were walking around we also saw residents in the memory care unit sipping on wine which we felt was inappropriate.

The most expensive mistake we ever made

You will need to be an advocate if you have a loved one at Tribute One Loudoun. Many problems exist which seem to lie with management. Please do your research and check the VA DSS website to review complaints and violations at this facility. I have many regrets that I did not better advocate for my loved one.

Thrive at Jones Valley in Huntsville, Alabama. My mother was a resident at this facility. She arrived at Thrive with a diagnosis of dementia. Thrive talks the talk of knowledge about people with dementia but did not perform the appropriate help needed in dealing with their behaviors. I could never recommend this facility to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, caring and loving place for their loved one. The facility has a pretty look on the outside but rooms are not clean and my mother was not bathed appropriately as well. Terrible care!

Residents are basically left alone in room for xx hours. Records of prescriptions being administered are inaccurate.

We found that the administrator was very unprofessional. My loved one was here and they did not seem to want to do anything to help her out or assist her. I would tell others that are looking to not put your loved ones here.

[name removed] and [name removed] are racist and they need to be fired [name removed] is an HR and [name removed] is the lunch lady . They’re horrible and need to be fired whatever you do stay far away from this place.

Don't put your loved one here right now. The community has recently made a change in the Executive Director position. Due to this I would wait and see what the potential is with the community now. We moved my loved one in and no one was there to greet us, and I thought there would be someone there to do this. The night shift moved my loved one out of their room due to another resident coming in. I called and no one was able to answer my calls or questions over my loved one during this time. I still don't understand how this would have happened.

I was hopeful that this would be a good place for my mother after her stroke in 2019 but I WAS COMPLETELY WRONG!! She was only there for 5 months. Her caretakers ([name removed]& others) would say that she was capable of walking etc which she was not after her stroke. It was so frustrating as I complained on several occasions and it fell on death ears. They would complain and belittle her for having to help her at night to be able to go to the bathroom and they let her fall at least 3 times. After her last fall and splitting her head open she never made it "home" from the hospital. I was already in the process at that time of moving her from there but unfortunately we never made it that far before she passed. If you cherish your loved ones and want them to be cared for DO NOT CHOOSE ALTO!!

The community was new and clean. They obviously tried to show the public that it was clean and all the staff was very friendly. We didn't feel they were providing the care that they promised that they would. We moved my mother into Tribute and she could walk just fine, over the span of 5 months, she ended up not being able to walk at all. We think this was because of a lack of effort and a lack of caring on the part of the care giving staff. She also lost a lot of weight during her stay and we again feel that this was the result of a lack of effort on the part of the staff to get her to get her to eat. We also felt they had an integrity issue. My mother had a visit to the hospital during the Covid-19 pandemic and came back and was placed in quarantine for two weeks. Previous to this, we went to feed her personally each day to make sure she was eating. During that time, we saw her gain several pounds. During her isolation, they would not let us see her make sure they were feeding her. The care giving staff was also very unresponsive to our requests to make sure they were monitoring her food intake. It took her doctor to tell us she had again lost several pounds. I had also asked several times if we had permission to see my mother during her final stay and there was no response for quite some time. There was no communication with us and we were left wondering if we'd be able to see her.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!! They present as a good place when you tour and meeting the marketing person. However, their treatment of resident was TERRIBLE AND THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. The worse thing was he had soiled underwear and shirts in the bathroom because he didn't get toilet paper and didn't know how to ask. Yes, he used his underwear to wipe. When he pushed his call button, it took forever for someone to come help him. He snuck out and was found wandering down the street. When he became violent and needed meds changed, they sent him ALONE to the ER where he was then shipped to a hospital that treated him poorly. They claimed they sent his medical information to the hospital yet noone seemed to have it. The hospital thought he was crazy because noone explained he had dementia. And they never once called to check on him. His sleep apnea machine was never used and they didn't make sure he was wearing his leg brace. They constantly lied to us when we talked to management. Every issue they claimed was typical with dementia patients, yet they didn't compensate for the fact they knew he had dementia. And on weekends and at night, noone answered the phone and you could never find anyone to help if were there. So basically if you put your loved one here, you will be horribly disappointed. I know it is a hard job to work at assisted living or memory care but this is no way to treat elderly, which we will all be one day.

The care my family member received was sub par. The meals are terrible, there aren't any activities going on and every time I visited there were new employees. Avoid this place.

Unprofessional, low staff retention, it's been open since Jan 2017 and it's still not full. Donot bring your loved ones here. I'm appalled at the lack of diversity. Staff sleeping at night, and fighting during the day.

If you are looking for a well run facility that cares about its residents, KEEP LOOKING. Alto does not have the staff to provide care to its residents, activities are limited, they cannot provide transportation, and most recently, they serve food on PAPER plates. Just what you want to pay for. If you fall in your room and you happen to lock the door, the FIRE DEPARTMENT has to come to break into the room because the staff does not have keys. Cool! Oh yeah, the locked front door does not always open, so if there is a fire, you cannot get out. They want big bucks, but also high profits. Good Luck with your search, but search elsewhere.

I would not put my [Removed] in this facility. Derogatory when speaking of memory care residents. Dreary. No safety features besides confinement to wing. No phones allowed for residents. The staff member was cleaning chairs with loud vacuums during meal time. I found it highly annoying and I don't have agitation issues. If I could give it negative stars, I would.

Buyer beware!!! Do not move your loved one into this facility. It looks nice but looks aren't everything. It's all staged. They don't care about providing quality care, all they want is your money, they've cut staff and continue to move people in. Constantly short staffed. They refuse to hire more help to take of residents, they would rather have short staff before paying overtime. They bring in inappropriate residents that require too much care while the residents that require minimal care get neglected. They have no standards, when it comes to the type of residents they accept. [Removed]. There's no stimulation in memory care. Cna's are left doing dishes and cleaning dining rooms all day instead of providing care. They ignore all complaints and suggestions. If you have any problems corporate will not care. They will sweep you under the rug. No one in corporate knows anything about this business other than the type of money they can collect. They have no idea the kind of things that happen in this building and for that they should be ashamed. They don't commuicate with anyone, they just make the decisions without considering the strain it puts on the entire facility. The only time they will lift a finger is if your check doesn't clear. They could care less about the facility, resident care, or employees. If you want to give your money away they will take it but don't expect anything in return. I would never recommend this facility to anyone and I feel sorry for the people there and everyone that endures the neglect from this company.
