Rooms are studios. Too small. I was looking for a more apartment layout.

To be fair they were going through some transitions, so I probably didn't get an accurate view of things. The apartments were great, though, and the facility seemed nice. The community was out on a field trip and things were in flux for a renovation, so I would like to go back another time. [Removed] was very informative and kind, though, and I appreciated her helpfulness.

Kelley Place seemed comfortable, with very nice and knowledgeable staff. It was lunchtime when I visited; the food looked good and the residents seemed happy. I felt that the facility was too small, not clean enough (dirty baseboards), showers were shared between 2 people, and it was very overpriced.

This facility is close to our home, and I believe they have a good concept. Our tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable, but we overheard a comment from one of the staff that she was supposed to be on break when she was asked a question. The rooms are smaller than in the other facilities that we toured, and I don't think our Mom could get but about half of her bedroom suit in the room. The hallways were very narrow and the eating areas were only large enough to accommodate a row of tables. There was also a slight odor. I think this would be good for someone who's dementia has progressed a little more than our Mom's. We are eliminating this option from our search.

Brand new ----Very Very nice and very very expensive. Even if this was not so expensive --- the problem - no pets allowed on any condition

We toured this community for care for a friend. We did not have a good experience. The staff did not seem to be professional and did not answer the questions we had on the care that was given. They did not offer us information in a few areas or the menu that is provided. We would suggest that other families tour this community to see if they like the feeling before moving a loved one in here for care.

Everyone here is lovely. From the sales staff, to the dining room, the charge nurse, the activities director, to every single nursing attendant. Just really delightful people. It's a beautiful facility that's always clean and welcoming. The main challenge is that they are understaffed / have high patient to attendant ratio. If you have a low maintenance parent who most likely won't need too much assistance this might be a good fit. While they are wonderful people and deal with our mom's quirks beautifully, there is frequently too long a wait when she needs someone; 45 minutes to an hour sometimes, even when we are there and have asked someone face to face to help us. We're considering re-housing mom to a place with a lower ratio.

Kelley Place - We met with [Removed],RN - very pleasant to us. The facility was neat, clean and apparently well run. Judy Rice was not there for our confirmed meeting. Instead of rescheduling she passed us to a nurse. Toured rooms, nurse had no information on facility and totally disrespected the residents - referring to the residents as this one or that one as though they were pieces of furniture; never this lady/gentleman or she/her, he/him as though they were even human. The nurse entered rooms to show us without even knocking (some of which were occupied); including a restroom off the hall (which was occupied). Nurse said "oh, it's ok - they're dressed". This tour certainly showed us how our loved one would be treated.

This community was not at the level that I wanted them to be. The lady was helpful at first, but then the communication started going down. Things were very good and engaging at first. The staff was helpful though.

Hard to give complete evaluation as they are undergoing renovations. Staff seemed friendly. Care at this location seems to lean predominately to patients with severe memory care issues.

I was able to take a semi tour of this community. The staff was friendly and answered all questions that I had. The major turn off from this place was that they said that they would only give my loved one a shower twice a week. If I wanted my loved one to have more I would have to pay on my own for that. I will not be taking my loved one here.

Visited 4/9/2016. Susie is very nice. The community is somewhat dated and in a commercial lf residential area. The rooms seemed dark inside and there is very little scenery looking out

Some is good, and some not as good. A couple of things could be better. They weren't very helpful the first night we got there. They went through some of our supplies rather quickly. I have to supplement her meals, and when I asked if there was a way to have someone there give it to her, and they weren't very willing. The people are very nice, but I think they may be a little short staffed. I'm not exactly sure what licenses the aides hold, or if an RN is on duty. Response times take a little longer than I would hope. The first week or so there were a lot of other residents that would wander in an out of her room. The facility itself seems to be clean, and the maintenance seems to be well handled. I am happy and have noticed, that they will all come together to watch t.v or something in the evening, which I do like to see.

They are okay. I am not thrilled, but so far so good, I guess. Honestly, they don't have the programs that they need, but they are working it out. They don't have the right people in place, which is a struggle. There are a couple of people in memory care that are phenomenal. They don't have any activities, so the residents just kind of sit around between meals.

It was somewhat expensive and the activities were childish, not alot of activities offered for male residents. Food was very good no snacks offered, meals were restaurant quality. Staff listened to suggestions. Facility caters more to female residents with activities and resident was not happy.

It was an odd situation going in. It kind of seems like they just wanted our money. The place we were going to move her was a different Emeritus, they didn't have room, so they put us here as a temporary solution. They didn't really assess her, and the whole time she just wanted to leave. It was a large community, and only a small section was for Alzheimer's. It was a very nice and fancy place, but they didn't seem to want to make too much of an effort with the residents. It wasn't a long or great experience. After they told us we weren't going to be able to come back, they just kind of left us high and dry, and didn't even help us to find a place.

They do a lot of things well here, and the staff are friendly, caring, and hardworking. It's an attractive, clean, and well kept facility. Unfortunately they are extremely understaffed, and the care really suffers for it. I really think this could be a wonderful place if they could just get the minimum level of help that they need, the staffing issues are really their only problem.

would have been nice if the marketing person had been there. they had their maintenance director there who knew where the available rooms were but not much else. He also did not speak English very well.

Be very, very careful when selecting a care facility for your loved one. My family member was at this facility for over a year. Many incidents occurred throughout the stay that gave me reason to question the staff. Examples: laundry was not done properly or timely, housekeeping on the apartment was not the greatest, clothing was lost or stolen, meds were found left on the counter in the apartment on several occasions, etc. The staff is very friendly, however, now that it is over, I tend to believe that all of their "friendliness" was a "front". They are supposed to check on your family member every 2 hours, but they don't. The facility has a very big turnover in resident assistant staff and nurses, and are short-staffed as well. I regret that I chose this facility for my loved one.

Although I did like the facilities, however the location was not ideal. A plus would be that it is small enough for residents to get around easily while having enough room accommodate activities.
