would have been nice if the marketing person had been there. they had their maintenance director there who knew where the available rooms were but not much else. He also did not speak English very well.

Be very, very careful when selecting a care facility for your loved one. My family member was at this facility for over a year. Many incidents occurred throughout the stay that gave me reason to question the staff. Examples: laundry was not done properly or timely, housekeeping on the apartment was not the greatest, clothing was lost or stolen, meds were found left on the counter in the apartment on several occasions, etc. The staff is very friendly, however, now that it is over, I tend to believe that all of their "friendliness" was a "front". They are supposed to check on your family member every 2 hours, but they don't. The facility has a very big turnover in resident assistant staff and nurses, and are short-staffed as well. I regret that I chose this facility for my loved one.

Although I did like the facilities, however the location was not ideal. A plus would be that it is small enough for residents to get around easily while having enough room accommodate activities.

I can't get them to bathe her or call me if she refuses to be bathed, and I have found her in the same clothes a week later. The food is excellent. The communication needs to be a lot better. They don't call for things like weight gain or loss. I chose them because they were a smaller community and that is better for our loved one. They are very good about bringing her out and working with her diet, they bend over backwards in that aspect. They do a good job keeping her engaged.

The assisted living was quite nice, but the dementia unit was just a wing, like what you would see in a hospital. The rec area looked just like they had opened up some rooms and made it a little bigger. Kind of seemed makeshift. It was definitely trying to feel homey, and there wasn't as much place for them to roam, not sure if that's good or bad! Another thing, they were very pushy. One day they showed up my door with cookies and said that they had specials going on. They called all the time too, telling me about this special and that special and it seemed more like a sale. Like I was trying to find an apartment for my daughter instead of care for my mother.

About 22 Units - will be doing some renovations - new carpet, paint. Studio does not have refrigerator, or kitchen. The room is large with good closet space. They have Kennesaw State PT students come every Friday. Exercise every day. Looks like they have several activities. $500 refundable deposit to hold the room. $500 nonrefundable community fee. 30 days notice is the contract. Over the phone accessment with St. Leonard's then accessed by Bickford after 30 days. Offered special rates of $2,972 for level one care or $3,403 for level two - studio size apartments. There is a nurse on staff 24 hours. Once a week trip to where ever the residents want to go. Extra Fees paid to go to the Doctor @ $20/hour. Generally, residents go to Kennestone Hospital but they will take you wherever you want to go. Says Dad may qualify for VA assistance which is about $1,700/month.

A little less expensive than Sunrise,but similar. Not the cozy feel on the memory unit.

Toured the facility. I was moderately please with the facility. More pleased with the younger age of the residents than the actual facility. Found the Memory Care facility smelly.

Nice facility - tour was OK- nice two room apartment (720 sq ft) one bedroom not bad (has 2 bathroom doors opening on either side of apartment 400 sq ft)

Pros: nice rooms, community cat and dog, outside area asseccible, mobile doctors an dentist, will be hiring a separate activities coordinator, gardening, YMCA for water aerobic - need to hire sitter. mingles with assisted side if capable. 4 RA's for 29 residents, med tech on each side. Cons: does not go on trips (need to confirm), transportation extra $25/trip, $10 for someone to stay with them

Recently, this facility is desperately short of help. There is not enough employees for the number of residents. The staff is nice but overworked. It seems they are cutting corners at the expense of the residents. For the amount of money, you pay to live here, the service is very poor. The service pertains to giving out meds, being serviced in the dining room and waiting on RCAs. And it is because they don't have enough help. This has been brought up several times to management.

Largest room in area was deciding factor is also what keeps my folks here

this is my first time writing a review about alto senior living Alpharetta. i must say how funny it is when i heard about that Wellness nurse [name removed] getting paid to stay at Starbucks sorry they didnt mention what location because i surely would make my appointment to see her there i totally agree [name removed] and that nurse [name removed] need to go. this place is a mess what happen and why [name removed] left i dont know but get to understand [names removed] had something to do with it. he was the best a man of dignity my mom is still weeping over him and also his fellow employees. resident council meeting administrator never shows up so my mom doesnt attend them no more right now i am looking around for another place for mom this place is a mess. seems like corporate doesnt care at all they are so quick to comment on each reviews but would never come into the building and hear the voices of these residents they are very unhappy managers are leaving like crazy doesnt look good at all

Since my mothers move into this community everything is going decently well. There is room for improvement in some areas around the community. I do not feel they have been responsive to my concerns. My mother, and I come across the same problems a couple times a week. They do a good job with the cleanliness around the community, I have no concerns in that area. When we first moved in there was no activities director, they have one at the moment. However I still have not noticed many activities available. I have offered to do a bingo night myself. The meals they provide are well balanced, and they have a nice variety too choose from. Until the issues that I have stated are corrected, at this moment I can not recommend this community.

I wasn't very impressed with my tour of this community. My tour was okay. The cleanliness of the community is decent. The staff was nice. There are some improvements they need to make before I would consider moving my mother here. I did find a community that suited our needs better.

My loved one and I where not very impressed with this community, it was a little to depressing for my loved one. I had noticed during our tour that there was not much light throughout the building and the atmosphere did not have a comfortable living environment feel to it. My grandmother said she would not consider living here and would not recommend it.

Unless there has already been a change, a new manager is needed.

The facility, setting, and rooms are nice. Food is good. Staff are friendly and attentive. There was some concern about missing clothing and personal items. The staff did not inform me or the personal care attendant about any policy regarding the search and removal of items considered unsafe. Activities are good.
