They have been going through a lot of administrative changes at The Range. Getting payments processed, getting credits etc. has been a challenge. They have hired someone new but we have not met them yet. I would say that has been the biggest problem on our end so far.

My problem/worry is that the overhead staff has changed two or three times and they do not communicate at all. I can't seem to get a monthly statement and when I do it's a system that even my bookkeeper can't follow. We are very aggravated over the constantly rising price, even though we had a written agreement. We will have to meet with them after Christmas and if it is not resolved, we will have to move my mother to another place. That would be sad as she likes where she is

The food there is horrible and by that I'm not talking about the taste of food at all but more so the fact that when you are feeding people who have Alzheimer's and dementia you cannot serve them highly sugared deserts and drinks. This practice is 100% contrary to all the medical information knowing about what exacerbates their conditions. Why is this happening? Additionally I am not receiving any type of consistent information as to what's going on with my parents while they are there. Fortunately I am able to go there at least twice a week to check on my mom. There seems to be no consistent reporting taking place about the daily care being afforded to each resident. I have made numerous phone calls that are never returned.

I toured this community and it was ok.

We picked this community because, at the time the decision was made we felt it was the best fit. After my loved one, moved in things have not been as great as we were lead to believe. We understand no where will ever be the home that they lived in for almost 60 years but there have been some incidents that have occurred that we were less than happy about. In addition, to that the facility is rather large and her vision has deteriorated more and my loved one cannot/does not participate in the activities that are "included" in the monthly fee. Well the whole world is short staffed right now so I guess they are doing the best they can. They have just made a lot of revamping with the staff so we will just have to wait and see. I appreciate, what A Place for Mom have done in helping my family with the placement of my loved one. It was very nice to have someone to talk through our needs with some that had no ties to any of the facilities. Thank you!

In terms of placing a loved one, it's a very nice place. I like how open and clean the facility is. The staff are very friendly. We've had some issues with medication administration. They do listen and answer you when you bring up concerns, but getting changes in place has been more difficult. My loved one just wishes the quality of the food were higher, with more variety offered. They serve lots of beans, and no fresh fruits or salads. Overall it's a very nice place. I looked at many others before choosing Oakview Park, and there is plenty to like here.

I picked this community because , I thought it would provide the level of care that my loved one needed. They need to improve on the responsiveness of your loved ones needs.

Based on our families experience with Oakview Park we do not recommend this community to other families

For the most part the people in charge are excellent. The only problem is they have some employees that don't seem to care. They try to communicate as best as possible when have an issue. Anywhere dealing with people you need to have a team that cares. Most do but have had issues with them forgetting she is there, with her getting out and other instances. We went almost three weeks without any incidents, then on the overnight shift and on weekend crew is where we have had most of the issues. We have a family member there each morning and evening to make sure she is taken care of. We would like to not have to continue doing this as is what we are paying for, but until feel is under control will continue doing so.

Overall, management is friendly and well intentioned. But they suffer from a lack of staff and organization. They definitely promised more than they could deliver.

We toured Tribute at The Glen after we had already seen an amazing community. The rooms here were darker, not as nice or spacious, and they only had a mini fridge as opposed to a full sized one. The cafeteria looked and smelled like a 'cafeteria', whereas the other community had a restaurant-bistro like setup. It just boiled down to the small details; Tribute had a handrail going down the hallways and stairwell, and the other community had shelving. When you're at the other community, it felt more like a Hilton than a senior living community. Tribute was also 2x the cost of the community we chose, but had a lower quality of aesthetics. Tribute is nice, but its just not [community named removed].

Madison Heights is a smaller facility with only 16 residents. The staff who worked here at the time are what sold me on the place while we were looking, but they are no longer here. It would be nice if they could communicate when things happen rather than hearing about it after the fact. They adjusted her medications and told no one and made the decision on their own rather than consulting with us. They have had an entire staff turnover since being in here so I am talking to people that I have never met and who do not know who my loved one is when I call. Overall there are positives and negatives to the facility. It is not a bad place, but they need some improvements.

I would tell others that it is a good experience for those that are more on the independent side of life. If your loved one needs more care, than this is not the place for them. The staffing was short during my loved one's stay. The staff wouldn't return calls to the family. We would have to call 3 or 4 times before we could find someone to talk to about a question or concern. The food was okay during my loved one's stay.

The rooms were really dated at this community. The staff seemed nice but the price was not reasonable for what the rooms looked like.

New management not as dedicated or interested in the community and residents. I have been here a long long time and can honestly see the change in interest. Not to be picky but change is definitely not for the better. Atlas you can certainly and have so do better in the past you certainly did care. Thanks for letting me post my opinion. This wasn't sufficient for my loved one. The community was only a year old when my loved one moved in. However, they weren't able to handle my loved one's care needs. I ended up having to hire outside care for round the clock to assist with the care needs of my loved one. There were activities for the residents to participate in. There is a community fee to move into The Bluffs.

Our loved one likes the food and has come to enjoy going into the dining room and the social aspect that she gets from that. The caregivers and charge nurses are pleasant and encouraging to her. Having the hair salon on-site is very helpful. Some of the cons are constant turnover in caregiver staff and lack of internal communication about medical issues and care. Their actual procedures don't always mirror what the resident agreement states, and when they change procedures it confuses our loved one. They've been bought out recently, and new ownership will take effect this month, so we're not sure how that will affect things going forward. Currently, they're having a lot of trouble retaining staff. They recently hired 20 new people in a month, and many are already gone. It just seems like their training is haphazard and they are not communicated with well. We're not really seeing Traditions take the initiative for resident care, which is concerning. But again, we like the people there, and overall our loved one is happy.

Great experience with narrowing down AL with memory care because of PFM's excellent search. This AL is beautiful and provides the type of care needed. However, it kept constant staffing issues (turnover). The regional and corporate reps seem to have limits experience with Sr. care as decisions always seemed to be inappropriate for challenging care situations. They could not allow the ED to handle.

It appears there may be a lack of leadership that is contributing to some issues. There has been some incidence of supplies disappearing. It does not come across that everybody is passionate about their job. It looks good - the facility is nice. But there are some problems with leadership that need to be addressed.
