My loved one was a resident at Tribute at Melford and the overall experience was okay. However, we had some unfortunate experiences with the care of my loved one. We ended up moving my loved one to a smaller home facility where he can be monitored more closely. I will say, however, that almost everyone that we spoke with there was extremely kind and loving.

My loved one is currently a resident at Madison at Clermont. The staff are friendly, however, the housekeeping need improvement. The Activities Director is absolutely wonderful! Very kind and talented!

High staff turnover. Food is poor quality, unappealing to residents . The aids and nurses are good for as long as they stay. Night staff not reliable. Belongings of residents lost or put in wrong room. Short staffed, staff overworked. Management hard to reach. Cost is too high for care received.

While I find them friendly; I've had to ask for information repeatedly and to date not received some. Stopped asking. Staff on Memory care floor friendly and responsive to requests. My mom really doesn't like the food; but has hard time communicating. Not involved in any activities at all. Thats not their fault though. I am moving her to another Tribute Facility closer to me so hopefully it will be better for her

I found the facility to be very clean with adequate spaces for activities. I was disappointed in the number of activities (which seemed largely due to staffing issues. ) My other problem was that my husband was in the memory care unit and they could not provide him with escort services to appointments. Had I known that, I don't think I would have chosen The Goldton.

Right now, most likely due to staff changes, their internal communication between employees needs to improve. But, my mother is happy, and is being well taken care of.

What was shown during the initial meeting with them was not what is actually the case. [Name removed] told us several things that were not exactly true. Examples are they would have the place cleaned before they moved in. It was filthy, I cleaned it myself. The excuse was they didn't know when they are moving in. Well we paid them the money and supplied all the information they needed and told her we would be moving them in by Friday. [Name removed] also said they had a chef from the Hyatt there and that the food was fabulous. Come to find out, there was a young girl, 21 yrs old, cooking and it was not good. She made things so spicy my mother couldn't eat it. I do believe that has calmed down some now. Also, issues with my parents' medication where they weren't getting what they needed, getting stuff they didn't need (like my mother was getting a stool softener when she had diarrhea.) There are a lot of things that just are not right with that place anymore. My parents will be moving out at the end of this month. As far as the staff goes, the med techs are so sweet and kind to my parents. They love them. At this point in time, I probably would not recommend.

I have had issues that might be my own doing, but the cleaning ladies are so sweet Staff have been mean. There is a lack of trust. Maybe new staff will be better. Care - I don't receive any care, even when I need it The food varies from oh that's good to why did they serve is that again - same mushroom gravy and ground meat in many shapes. It's very difficult to select a healthy meal. We mostly need cardiac diet. I didn't join in at first. When I do I have a great time. And have no complaints. Too expensive for what we are getting. I expected more care, kinder care. I feel guilty if I have medical need. Guiltier if I bother the nurses.

This questionnaire is so hard to answer. When we moved in a few months ago, everything was absolutely perfect! But we have noticed over the past month or so, it is not as clean, there is a skeleton staff, all of the wonderful nurses, housekeeping, and caretakers that we have had aren’t there anymore. I am very concerned about activities for my mother who is in memory care. Things seem to have gone downhill fast. I used to recommend Monark Grove 100% but I have my doubts right now. I still love the care that my mother gets. I have no intentions of moving her. But it is not the same as when we moved her in a few months ago. So, if I had to answer the questionnaire from a few months ago, I would give everything 100%! Today, not so much. And I also still think there needs to be a puzzle table in memory care. And the joy rides that used to take place on Friday mornings are not happening anymore. They need to resume!

It was close to home and seemed very nice when touring. The facility is poorly run. Management has no idea what they are doing.

My experience with Goldton was horrible. Lying staff. Lack of care. My son was there for respite care from a stroke.They were to lower the height of the bed because of risk of fall. Was not lowered resulting in a fall the first night. No call from nurse on duty.The facility is clean and food was good but caregivers were not adequate .

They could improve with their nighttime care. My mother rings her bell and it could take more than an hour sometimes for them to respond. This is very stressful and ridiculous for the amount of money being paid each month. I am not sure if I would recommend Tribute at Black Hill, I guess it would depend on the needs of their loved ones.

This place needs more employees. There was one lady doing everything for all residents on Sunday (42, I think). I was there. Nothing is done as promised. Medicine delivered late. They fired a complete group and the new ones seem to be trying but not very experienced. Activities have been better, but they do not encourage the residents to join in as much as I feel they should. Overall it is not what we were sold. There are so many things that they say but don't do. They do not check on her every 2 hours. I think they need a RN there at night and on weekends. The NP is only there on Tuesday, and they won't call her in. The food seems to be good. My loved one is happy there, so I'll just list what I am unhappy with for now.

They are slow to respond to call buttons. Only in the past 4 months have they had adequate RN/LPN staffing. The CNA level of cg varies greatly ( isn't that across the board?) The director is giving it his all and has made great improvements. I feel we are in a rough spot for elder care at the moment. Nationwide. The activities are good. There was a long period without activities. Yet they still charged full price!

Excellent staff keeps me well informed. Management needs to do better about getting initial facts correct. Needs to have a process to assist family's to prevent falls. Needs to work better on yard appearance. Hedges and dead items need replaced. Needs to better train staff on doing laundry. Cloths come back pilled. Staff works well with all my family members.

If the resident will be mostly independent or willing to speak up for themselves they can manage there successfully. If the resident is more in need of attention or quiet, I would say this is not the place for them. My biggest complaint is the head people which of course trickles down through everything. I really would not recommend this place for someone whose family will not be present and stop in. I feel sorry for residents who don't have family advocating for them.

I wasn't crazy about the Goldton. Something seemed a little off. Their perception of a courtyard was to go out the door and "make it your own". Nothing there but dirt and stones. Not inviting at all.

Tribute at One Loudoun turned out to not be a good fit for my family, but they were good at communicating, tried their best, and were very friendly. It just ended up not working out for us in the end.

What we think they could improve on, is the process of checking on the residents regularly, hire more caregivers ( rarely saw one in our 4 days there), but we did like the activities director.
