Compared to where my Dad was before we're very pleased with this place. The facility itself looks nice, and is clean. The staff have been very attentive. Dad always looks clean and well cared for. They seem to do a great job overall.

Very nice but to expensive. Community fee to high as well.

Nice facility. Love all of the natural light. I'd like something a little more contemporary, though.

Great staff! Very helpful and supportive. Location is ok - not ideal but closer to family. Not as perfectly maintained as Spring Hill but overall the facility felt good. Limited menu in dining room causes concern but this is definitely a possibility.

Personal Trainer who specializes in Geriatric excercise. Physical Therapist once a week. 3 story, assisted living 2nd and 3rd floor. 50 Residents. Licensed for 84, that includes couples. 3 meals 2 snacks happy hour at 4:00 every day except Sunday Out to dinner once a week - billed monthly Wednesday is Walmart day studio and one bedroom fridge/microwave staffed 24x7 nurse 2 shifts weekly housekeeping transportation to doctor on tuesdays. n/c within 12 mile radius 2 doctors that visit the facility geriatric psychiatric - once a month Podiatrist visits site Dentist visits site Onsite beauty salon Laundry/linens cleaning included. Housekeeping included. Studio 90 per day. 1 bedroom 112 a day. Med Management/Bathing assistance would be additional cost. Very clean, quiet environment. Studio apartment is very nice, some have hardwood floors. Move in cost: Waive $2500 move in fee. 2 months rent free (2nd and 13th month). Revisit schedule 3/6 at 2:30pm

We toured with Spring Park. The staff were very good and the follow up from them to make sure we got everything all figured out was great. The facility is all on one level and has an "X" design. When we were walking around there were some residents sitting in the center area watching TV and no one was talking. It just did not seem like the residents were engaged and they needed more care than my loved one did. The director here was extremely nice.

We toured with Oakview Park and the facility is all one level. It just did not have that bright and airy atmosphere we were looking for. It was more dark and institutional feeling.

There are some very good things at Legacy Ridge, and there are other things that were not as we expected. The people that we worked with to tour the facility, as well as the director, are truly wonderful and great to work with. I think they do everything they can to be extremely helpful. I also think the care technicians and med techs are very caring, wonderful people. Where I think Legacy Ridge fell down a little bit is in their dementia care. My mom is physically capable to do certain things, but she does have dementia, and she needs help/prompting to do those things. They would come in in the morning and say "Here's your pills. Get showered and dressed and go on down to breakfast." But she needs someone to oversee her while she does those things and prompt the process. Also, there are a lot of activities, which was one of the big reasons we wanted her there. One of her neighbors occasionally would come over and ask if she wanted to play bingo, but the staff weren't coming by and saying "Hey, it's time to come downstairs for activities." So she didn't get as involved as she could have. Again, there were many good things, but also some things that didn't work out quite the way we had hoped they would.

I toured Lake Howard Heights and they were very friendly. The person who showed us around was willing to do almost anything to accommodate me. The apartment they had available was setup like a studio and there was no door to separate the living room from the bedroom, and they offered to put a door up for me! Ultimately I needed more space for things I had in storage. I chose another community because I was able to get a bigger apartment.

Tribute is a lovely place. my loved one has a nice room with an overlooking view. she's very active, has gained weight, and participates in activities. they offer things like bingo, bowling, ring toss, sing along, etc. there are a lot of pluses here and my loved one has a nice group of friends she hangs out with. we have hired an outside aide who is familiar with our family and comfortable with my loved one. she has assisted a lot with her care services. our loved one was there for five weeks and never received a shower. when we asked the staff why they hadn't bathed her, they answered "because your loved one said no." this is a memory care unit, and I assumed that they were equipped to handle residents who may need more attention or patience. our aide noticed our loved one had a developing health concern and brought it to the attention of a nurse. we were given the run around with no sense of urgency to look into the issue. the nurse said the head nurse needs to check the records, which further confused us because she could have simply just examined my loved one while she was there. it feels like there has to be a family presence there in order for them to stay on top of things. I had to escalate the situation for them to take matters into their own hands and it actually turned out to be something serious and potentially life threatening. anytime a concern comes up, it seems like they have no idea where it came from or what to do about it. I'm unsure of the nurses protocol for handling certain things, but I haven't noticed any camaraderie or teamwork amongst the nursing staff. I would like for them to come together and communicate with one another, especially with the health concerns of residents. the overall communication is lacking, I've called during meetings or various times throughout the day and rarely receive a call back. I also feel that there needs to be more supervision. my loved one has learned how to shut her door without locking it, so she wanders in and out. our aide came by one day and no one was able to tell her where she was. she eventually found her in her bedroom, trying to clean up an accident she made. we're paying an additional cost for an aide for our benefit, not for Tribute's. we're not paying to take the burden off of them, we're paying to have someone there to look after her and make sure she is well taken care of. despite those things, the people at the front desk are phenomenal! [name removed] and [name removed] are so responsive. the activities director and whomever manages the meals and dining are great as well. overall, a good community; they're just short handed and it shows in the care services and attentiveness towards their residents.

This was an okay community, I didn't get to see any residents during the tour.

The community is above average. I would recommend the community about as much as any, communication between the staff could be better. The community is expensive but so are all of them. The community is clean

I think this facility is best for memory care like dementia or Alzheimer's. The rooms were nice in size and plenty of storage space. The food was good and they offered a great variety. I would recommend this facility for older memory care patients.

The legacy is a new, clean community located at a busy intersection in Lexington, KY with ample nearby shopping, entertainment and medical facilities. While there are some activities, it’s seems a little quite and dormant. The food is fine, nothing special. Dining room service is slow and my loved one complains of small portions. The courtyard is beautiful and enjoyable as are the many nooks of “living room” spaces on each floor which are high end in decor and pretty comfortable. The lobby and library are beautifully decorated. While my loved one is totally independent living, I would like if there were more organized activities. All in all, it’s a very nice facility. The transportation is limited. Just know, you are on your own here.

When we toured Traditions we were very impressed. My in-laws got moved in and settled. It took about a week or so for them to adjust to being someplace different but the staff was encouraging and patient with my in-laws and with us as we worried about them settling in. However, at one point issues started to arise - Slow responses when the pull cords/buttons were used; dinner being slow at being served; quality of food; no follow through on medical issues that Traditions said they would provide. There is now a new director and the food service has improved and we have been told staffing issues are being resolved. We are hoping it all works out because the facility is in such a beautiful location and the building is new, clean, and the staff that is there is very helpful.

What I really liked about this community it was designed specifically for residents with dementia and Alzheimers. On the tour, the staff was very nice and informative. The community appeared clean and well maintained.

My mom is a new resident in this community and so far she is okay. The care is good and so far we like it too. She likes the activities like painting and ice cream social. It is an enjoyable atmosphere for her. I wasn't happy with how her room was cleaned. I mentioned this to the staff and it seems to be better now.
