The staff are remarkable and the facility is brand new. The structure of the meal plan and options are served fresh and mixed up. If the resident wants more they will provide more food. They even have a bistro to get meal substitution. I have no negative things to say about the community. The grounds are maintained very well. The amenities have been great, there is a place to get hair and nails done, a massage place and even a nice sports bar with Happy Hour everyday before dinner. There is a bus that takes them off site to a museum and various stuff around the area. She can do as much as she wants to do. There are activities like arts and craft and they are starting a cooking class.

My 93 year old mother has been a resident since 2004 following my father's death. She started off in the independent living tower, and over time, is now in the assisted living wing. These folks are the best. Great leadership, dedicated care givers, and an excellent support staff. As you can imagine, their jobs are not easy. Always demanding, sometimes grumpy, and often lonely-the residents by and large appear relatively happy and satisfied. My mom has made, and lost many friends over the 13 years-but the Lake Howard Team gets 5 stars and a big thumbs up from my family.

My mother has been a resident of Lake Howard Heights for over 4 years and loves it. She loves the location and the staff and feels very safe there. There are so many activities for her to participate in, but her favorite is the "mystery rides" where she goes on the LHH bus to an unknown restaurant for lunch. The staff are very caring and very accessible for questions or concerns that I may have. They keep an eye on her and have let me know immediately when need be. Is she doesn't show up for a meal, they will immediately call her or go to her room to make sure she is well. The maintenance staff is constantly trying to improve the facility inside and out. Lake Howard Heights overlooks beautiful Lake Howard, inspiring tranquility. There is always a lovely breeze.

My brother and I along with my wife visited Madison Heights and found it to be quite unusual from any "clinical care setting " we had seen prior. The facilities are ranch style Homes that house 12 members and staff. the environment was clean , fresh smelling and attractive. Staff was friendly and engaged with the occupants in their care. We met the Director ; [Removed]. and the Marketing manager;[Removed] . and discussed the opportunity to have mom's care transferred there. Mom has been a resident there now for 5 weeks and has become her more normal self , prior to initial hospitalization. She is happier and speaks about the kindness of her caregivers and the concern they have for her. Our family has spoken with the staff and director on a couple of personal matters that had mom concerned and we all found answers that made this move truly a blessing and answer to continuity of care for mom's condition. As my wife and I are both medical professionals with over 47 yrs. experience as advanced practice RN's, we are truly impressed with the level and care offered to our mom and the other residents. When I toured the Brookdale Ocoee, I thought it was a very good place. It was clean and everyone was very friendly. The tour guide was prepared to take me on the tour when I got there, but I found a place that fits my mother's needs better.

nice facility & friendly, helpful staff; lovely atmosphere & living areas/rooms; Executive Director & Director of Nursing/Care Services excellent. Very involved with residents & care/needs, good communication with families, caring, welcoming, flexible and inclusive attitude. Feels like an extended, new family for residents and their loved ones/families. Nursing staff team also excellent and highly visible & involved with residents and families. CNA's friendly, helpful and hard-working. Plus, nurses on-duty 24/7 which is great, very helpful and provides a sense of security regarding resident care. Food very good with lots of variety/choices; executive chef trained in several New Orleans restaurants. An excellent choice and living arrangement for you loved ones.

In May 2016, when I was at my mother's home near Pittsburgh, PA, I entered information on the web for A Place for Mom service for Florida. As soon as I entered the initial information, I immediately received a call from A Place for Mom service rep. I informed the rep that I was looking to relocate my 90 year old mother with dementia from the Pittsburgh area to a location near my home in Florida. Also, I explained that there were family issues\problems between my mother and sister. After my initial contact, I spoke with Stephanie [removed] for A Place for Mom. After relocating my mother to my home in Florida, I spoke with Stephanie on many topics about the process to place my mother in a home for seniors. Stephanie's knowledge, experience, and skills were extremely valuable to me to locate a place for my mother. In fact, Stephanie Kirchner was GREAT and EXCELLENT throughout this process to place my mother in a home for seniors. I could not have completed this task without Stephanie's assistance. After going to a few facilities we chose the Brookdale facility in Clermont, Florida for my mother. The Executive Director at the Brookdale is Ashley [removed]. Ashley was GREAT throughout this process. Ashley's experience, knowledge, and compassion for her position made me feel extremely comfortable with placing my mother at the Clermont Brookdale. Since placing my mother at the Clermont Brookdale facility, the entire staff have been GREAT, EXCELLENT, and extremely PROFESSIONAL with treating my mother. It's not easy placing a parent in a home for seniors, but the entire Brookdale staff have been SUPER with daily friendly greetings and embracing my mother as a new client at there facility. Their attitude, professionalism, and extreme considerateness made my feel comfortable with my decision with placing my mother at the Clermont Brookdale facility. Our experience with Brookdale Ocoee has been a very good one, so far. I really like what I've seen of the place! The facility is clean and well kept, and the staff do a great job taking care of the residents. They really seem to genuinely care about the people that they look after, and they're very accommodating!

I haven't been there in a couple of weeks, but I think things are fine. I like the staff there and she seems to be happy there. To save money, we may move her from a joint room to a private room. Hopefully things continue to go well.

I moved my mom into Osprey. It is a great facility. Very new and clean. She loves it there. Staff is very helpful and caring.

Cleanliness rating was based on the appearance of the facility at the time of entrance. Two weeks later they began a complete renovation of the facility and I am sure it will be beautiful. We are more than pleased with the service and help we have received from the staff at BROOKDALE in Ocoee.

My mother-in-law lives at Madison Heights. The facility has a very homey feel to it, not "clinical" at all. It is very clean, and I like the safety features at the front door and the sign in board, documenting all visitors. The staff is wonderful, very friendly, and clearly they enjoy their work. It takes a very special person to care for the elderly with compassion and patience. She is always dressed for the day & her hair in place. Anyone experienced in taking care of a family member with Alzheimer's knows what an milestone that can be - and it gives "us" a sense of normalcy while dealing with this horrible disease. Another plus - the staff will text pictures to you and they post pictures on Facebook! Love seeing the happy smiles when they have the therapy dogs visit, among other activities. So very pleased, and at peace knowing my mother-in-law is safe and loved.

I have a family member at this Bickford. She didn't want to move in and leave her home. We were all worried and she seemed depressed but when she moved in she changed. The staff was welcoming and the activities lady took her under her wing and totally changed my family members out look. They have some of the best parties. My family member laughs a lot and this makes me happy. She enjoys the food but would like more of a southern flair to her meals but she calls it home and never wants to leave, she has told us this. Thank Bickford for making her whole again!

I did go to about 3 or four other places, did the research, and shared with my brother what I had found for our dad. Bickford of Marietta provided us with the best value for the money. The staff and especially the administration seemed really caring, like they would do what they said they would do. Bickford was bought out about a year ago and the current owners brought in all new administrators, and are in the process of upgrading the staff and facilities. I was really impressed by their chief administrator. Dad seems to be happy and adjusting well at Bickford, which we are happy about.

I toured for my parent. The person giving the tour was very nice and seemed to know her stuff. The receptionist was friendly and professional. I met the activity director and she was very nice and personal. She was envolved with all the other residents and seemed to add sunshine to their day. The common areas needed some better furniture and hallways needed some fresh paint but it was cozy. I was offered something to drink and also saw a serving cart going around with water and juice for all the residents. It's real hot out and I thought this was a good idea. I think it was a nurse who came up and spoke to me but she was friendly and helpful. All in all I liked this place far more then the others I toured today. I am keeping my parent at home for now but will have Bickford on the top of my list.

After touring the Madison Heights facility with the head management I knew this was the place for my mother. Since then she has gained some weight. She looks really good really healthy and is out doing activities with a the other personnel in the facility. I'm really pleased with the choice that we've made. Everybody is very friendly and very professional.

My MIL has been there for about 5 months. The residence is lovely, intimate and staff is caring and invested in their residents. However, they experienced understaffing and a change of ownership. We were gratified to see management improving staffing with recent hirings that are under going training. This is assisted living so in order to have an increased level of care we hired additional sitters for an additional 12-16 per week. Activities are currently limited but they are looking to expand opportunities with their new Activity Director. My MIL loves the friends she's made and likes the fact her small apartment has two rooms. The bathroom is small but adequate. She truly enjoyed making her apartment her own with her personal touch. Food is praised by some and not by others. With all this in mind we give 4 stars due to the efforts of all the staff. If they continue to increase the quality of care and make necessary adjustments we would increase the rating and the reverse if it returns to inadequate staffing numbers in all areas. The hearts are there.

No place will be good enough to leave my husband at, but Tribute was nice. The staff was lovely, and the woman who gave me the tour was friendly and was able to answer all my questions. The place was clean, bright, and safe. I liked that there were levels in memory care so that new arrivals receive more engagement while they can still enjoy it. Observed a group activity. The staff was engaging well with residents. Lots of positive energy. The rooms were nice. The only aspect that could have been better for my husband was to have more room to walk outside. He is dedicated to his steps.

Overall, the place is nice for being a Medicaid facility. It's clean and the apartment size is nice again for Medicaid, no roommates. There's a small patio off the back. Activities are nice as well as outings. Admin leadership has high turnover which has been frustrating to keep up with. Overall their care team is understaffed and underpaid like most other healthcare places. Food wasn't great but it's getting better with new chef

I have been at The Oscar for 7 months on [date removed]. During my stay I have received excellent care from the salon for my hair and nails. The maintenance crew helped solve an AC issue and assists with hanging pictures or whatever I need. The facility is kept very clean. I chose to keep my housecleaner and have not used the cleaning staff. Chef [name removed] is great with the meal planning. He always plans a special appetizer, delicious soup, 3 entree choices plus dessert. There are numerous activities including outside trips to HEB, Walmart, craft places, cafes, etc. Lots of card games, movies, social hour and recognition of tenants and employees. My apartment is small, but I selected because it has a wrought iron green space for my dog. Most of the women like the apartment with a den. Of course- there are some with 2 bedroom apartments. There have been some who left for watermere but have returned here. I think the cost is comparable to other sites in Georgetown. Special deals can be made for your first year. There are a lot of new people coming in. A couple things I like are the transportation bus for doctors appts and the in-house medical staff. This is the next step in my life, but cannot replace my memories at home. All my friends here are trying to adjust to a new style of living. It takes time. For now, The Oscar is meeting my needs.
