American House

We came for a tour of this senior living center--one of three planned that day. After touring American House, speaking with the assistant director and other staff, and eating lunch there, we cancelled the other two senior living centers we had planned to visit for our relative. Very welcoming community. All of the staff we have encountered is very pleasant and seems happy to be working at American House. Residents appear to be comfortable and satisfied. No "institutional" odor. Well maintained building and grounds. Lots of activities for those who choose to participate, including exercise classes a few times a week.

My father really likes American House Sterling Woods. [Removed] was very patient with us, holding the room while my father waffled back and forth about moving (very common with seniors). I am very appreciative of Senior Advisor. They saved me a lot of leg work, especially since I was taking care of another sick family member and had no extra time. They gave me five facilities to look at and we found the perfect one for us.

Everything is going just fine! The staff are very nice and the facility is very well maintained. Though my loved one has complained about the food a bit, it's just fine, as they serve appropriate options for him. Overall, I have no complaints.

It has been a good experience for my love one since her move to this community. I do like this facility, but unfortunately she will be moving to a new community because they offer a tax credit. However this is a nice community with kind people. The staff is friendly, and have been helpful when needed. They do a good job with the cleanliness around the community. There are nice activities available, and they provide good meals for the residents. It is a community I would recommend to my friends, and family.

We toured the American House Holland and it was beautiful and clean. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. It was just too expensive for our budget.

My mother is doing well since her move to this facility. It is a nice facility, and I'am comfortable with her move here. They are taking good care of her. and her needs. The staff was very helpful with the move in process. It has been a good experience for us in this community. I would recommend it to my family, and friends.

So far all is well for my brother, and his wife since their move to this community. I do feel they are safe, and in good hands in this facility. Overall this is a nice community with kind people. I have already recommended this community to my friends, it is a really nice facility.

We took a tour today and the facility is very nice. The staff is super friendly and the food was good. The apartments are a nice manageable size with a full kitchen and small outside balcony. The only problem with the apartments is that they have bathtubs, which would seem to be a problem for many seniors. They do have safety bars to hang onto. They also have bathing assistance for an additional fee. They seem to have quite a few activities. I know someone mentioned there weren't many, but they have movies on Sat/Sun, bingo, trips to Meijer, a off location picnic, book club, speakers, book club and bible study. The grounds are nicely kept. The residents were also friendly to us visitors.

Finding Bentley Commons was a blessing. Employees are very caring and meet your requested needs. Apartments are excellent and very comfortable. Standard menu should change frequently and not be the same choices for a long period of time. If they do change frequently, we have yet to experience it.

My dad had a good stay at American House. The staff are accommodating, patient, supportive and went above and beyond to accommodate his roommates needs. They offer daily activities. The food was average and the one thing I think they could have approved. They do offer additional service for an extra charge. The apartment was nice and this was a good location for us. I would recommend this community.

I had a chance to speak with the people at Elmcroft and I thought it was a great place. It was a beautiful facility but it was not priced within our budget. Also, I wanted my parents to stay close to where they were living so friends and family could continue to visit them.

When I toured the American House Bonita Springs Senior Living, I thought it was a beautiful place. I did not see anything that needed improvement, but it was out of our price range.

The caregivers at this community are great. The nurse and the certified nursing assistant are awesome. The entire staff are friendly and attentive. The executive director that was here during the time we moved in was extremely helpful. Mom love's the activities and dad is just starting to participate. The food is pretty good and they keep the community very clean. They have a nice sized apartment and some of their friends live here also.

My family searched at length for a place that would assist us in keeping Mom & Dad together for as long as possible. The challenge was that Dad was mentally and physically sound for a man of 94 and Mom has Alzheimer's. The management and staff at Elmcroft worked diligently to accommodate their needs and did so with kindness and compassion. Because of their flexibility and attentiveness Mom and Dad were able to remain together in a fun and caring environment until Dad's passing this past January 6th. Mom is now in Heartland Village, the memory care facility, where she continues to enjoy her time in activities with other residents and attention and affection from the staff. The team at Elmcroft was a blessing to our family during a very difficult time of transition and for that we are grateful.

American House East II Senior Living was a beautiful well-maintained community. The staff were very friendly and seemed very welcoming. During my tour, they answered all of my questions and took me around the whole building. They even gave me an apple pie to take home, which was absolutely delicious!

The chef has been wonderful towards my loved ones needs, they have made any adjustments she has needed to make sure her needs are met and she is satisfied. The staff has been great at encouraging my mom to get more involved in the activities they have going on throughout the day.

The community is clean and well taken care of. The staff are approachable, very nice and I have no issues with them. The only minor issue I have with this community is the lack of activities. They offer bingo and a movie night. The food is above average.

The director I met during our tour was nice. We liked this community, however they did not have any availability at the time we were looking. The community was clean. They offer a lot of good options for the residents.

I selected American House for my 94 year old mother because of what they offered. The check on her quite often in 1 day and at night and that makes me much more secure in her living alone. She is living like a queen, having so much done for her, she doesn't have much to do except enjoy the apartment and the activities. Knowing she is eating 3 meals a day is a positive for me. I am very please with American House.

My Mother, sister and I were greeted at the front door with hugs, welcome signs, and an invitation to have dinner. The staff is OUTSTANDING. I can not say enough regarding the advise and help I received in transitioning my Mom from Texas to Tennessee. Within a few days, Mom was feeling secure, happy, and adjusting to her new surroundings. Did I mention, the food is very good also. The activities are wonderful for body, mind, and soul. The other residents have welcomed Mom with open arms. It's like being at home with a big family. I would highly recommend Elmcroft of Hendersonville to anyone who needs assisted living and memory care.
