One of our top choices. Good that memory care is in the same building. The building set up is very nice. the residents seemed happy and well cared for.

I see Somerset having a very friendly and helpful staff, up and down. The facility is clean and well maintained. My elderly is at the right spot. I am however noticing the staff, except for the site director, responds slowly where I find myself following up with an email. If that doesn't work, then I call. I don't know if they're overwhelmed or what's happening. I have noticed the same trend from the rehab units not affiliated with this facility and wonder if it's typical of the industry. The site director does respond timely. If she doesn't know the answer, she'll acknowledge my email and will get back to me. Despite the communication issues, I do recommend this facility .

So far so good. Communication with upper management lacking a bit. The kitchen help has been going above and beyond to help out. They are great. We have asked for some help with my mother for her early signs of some dementia and counseling for my dad so he learns how to deal with her but have had no response despite a prescription sent from her doctor. But we are getting along fine.

As the daughter of the resident I appreciated all of the assistance that we received in preparation for the stay. Also, the fact that a short term option was even possible was amazing. My dad stayed for one week during a family trip. This service was provided for two years. I was very sad to learn that this is no longer an option for families. The facility is well maintained, beautifully decorated and the apartments feel like home and not like a hospital facility or a nursing home. The staff was kind to my father. My father told me that he wanted to go back after his most recent stay.

Overall, my parents are happy here. The staff is pretty friendly. They have a good variety of activities, and provide a calendar with scheduled activities to know what's coming up. Mom is happy with them and enjoys them now that she's finally participating in them. Dad isn't participating as much. They offer transportation services. Housekeeping is once a week, and their apartment seems pretty clean. They will do cleanings in between when requested, for an additional cost. The food is pretty good quality and variety. Some days, though, it's better than others. They have set meal times and sometimes it's hard to work around those when they have outside appointments and miss meal times. I don't think there are in between meal time options. I've only had brief communication with them, but it was ok. When mom opted to refuse a service, they did call me to let me know and we worked it out. Their apartment is nice and close to common areas. I would recommend them to family and friends.

Since it was during the pandemoc, I had a virtual tour. It seemed like a newer facility, and was very nice but the location was too far.

The staff is wonderful. They're very caring and give my loved one a lot of attention. They have lots of activities to keep her busy and good food to keep her well fed. The facility needs some upgrading (the carpets, etc.), but I think they're working on it. Overall it's a very suitable place.

American House Carpenter has been wonderful for my mother. Every time I walk into AH during lunch and dinner, it smells amazing. The executive director is always friendly and helpful with any issues you may have. I would not hesitate to recommend American House Carpenter to my friends and relatives.

Mom is very happy here American House Southland. We chose this facility because of the recommendations from people that we knew and then when we came to tour we liked everything that we saw so we decided that this would be the best fit for her. It is pretty expensive, though. The apartment sizes are very nice and she has her own little patio as well. Overall I would recommend them to others looking.

The staff and residents seemed very happy and calm every time we come to visit. Our loved one has a lovely apartment and lovely food. There are always plenty of activities going on from singing, to dancing and different parties. Our loved one really enjoys the meals themselves but she does not enjoy the fact that dinner stops at 6:00PM.

The activities they have for the residents especially in the memory unit are great, they do a wonderful job.

The housekeeping could improve in the rooms. And their laundry service seems to be a little ragged and unmanaged. I think overall the staff would like to do better. I just don't think they're getting the support they need from management in order to do that.

Our family had an in person tour and the tour was very enjoyable, all of the people were very nice but the location was just a little to far away.

American House Independent Living Facility at Bonita Springs is a "wishful thinking" homeplace. Community dining and your choice of daily provided activities bring all tenants into an atmosphere that makes everyone feel like family. The facility is in a "resort" type area where beaches, fishing marinas, shopping at any level and entertainment venues are all available. Costs of apartments are very reasonable in that everything is inclusive; two meals a day. In formal dining area, all utilities including tv, internet, wi-fi, weekly housekeeping, washer/dryer, local transportation and all site amenities. I love it here! Life's a beach!

I chose Anthology of Town and Country for respite care because the marketing person Victoria was very approachable and likable. Their chef prepared me a lunch that was very good. They do have a good variety on their menu and they do not charge extra to bring the food to my room when I was not feeling up to going to the dining room while I was going through chemo. The location of the facility is close to the plaza so I could walk to a lot of different places which helped keep me busy. The staff were very personable and it was overall a good experience for me.

The head of nursing is great, and the move-in coordinator is wonderful as well. The staff have been very responsive and very helpful in getting my mom adjusted in a new community. My only real complaint about the staff is one particular nurse's assistant who I was just not a fan of at all. He decided to take it upon himself to change my mom's medication without talking to the family or her primary care physician. I have since spoken with the head of nursing, who addressed the issue in a timely manner (changed the meds back to the way they were before and spoke with the employee). Management overall has been great. It's a great community - clean, new, open and airy with a ton of light, which helps to lift people's moods. They have lots of activities. They've helped my mom manage her medications and kept her on schedule, aside from that one incident. The apartment sizes are really great. Overall, I give American House really high marks. The only negative was that one issue with nurse's assistant, and that has since been addressed to our satisfaction. I think the price is good for what you get, and I recommend it there. With any facility, you'll always have some little hiccups, but overall it has been a really good experience.

The staff here are very attentive, your loved one is not left alone and is getting acre continuously throughout the day. They are also attentive to family's needs as well. Always easy to call and get a hold of somebody if you needed to. As far as the food goes, the taste was good, it was not being served well. It is all packaged in Styrofoam and had plastic silverware which was extremely difficult for someone with mobility issues to use. I would absolutely recommend to others looking.

They're really easy to contact and easy to work with. They didn't have any hesitancy in taking on a resident that another American House community wasn't sure they could take, and they've done well with our loved one. The facility is very pretty and sunny, and we really like it.
