I have lived here over 6 years and I am very satisfied. My husband and I moved here when he became ill. He was taken good care of until he passed away. I like the staff and have friends with the residents who live here. I plan to live here for the rest of my life.

Their nursing staff there is terrible. I had to move mom somewhere else for more care. Other than that I loved the place! As long as you don't have to hire the nursing care. I wish she were still there.

Overall, the staff has been very pleasant and the food is good. My dad is not an extrovert and had a hard time "fitting in" his first few weeks. It w/be nice if there were staff or residents to prompt him to attend activities and show him where they were located. You advertise Eucre, but only 1 or 2 people showed up. I stayed so they would have a 4th person to play. He got lost several times in the bldg since the 2 sides only connect on the 1st floor. A high level map of main rooms would help. We also had a billing issue the first month. Instead of reducing his monthly amount by the mid-month start and veteran's discount, they added it to his total. It was a good thing we had a few extra thousand in the checking or other auto payments and checks would have bounced. He is now "settling in" and is adjusting to his new living environment.

It's been a positive experience for my parents. My dad wishes the residents had more input in changes they are making that involve the residents way of life. He feels they need representation when high ups are involved. They seem to enjoy the food. Housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired. They don't do much when they're in there. [name removed] has been phenomenal to our entire family. There's been a big adjustment with the new director. Verdict is still out on her. They don't want to move.

What we like the most about the community is that the staff are very friendly and there are a lot of activities. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience so far.

American House Spring Lake was clean and we'll maintained; however, meals were uninspired and often cold.

What I think other families should know before choosing American House Senior Living is that it truly felt like a community for my dad, not just a facility. The staff showed patience, compassion, and respect even during difficult health transitions. They kept me informed and made me feel like a partner in his care, which gave me peace of mind. I would encourage families to pay attention not just to the building or amenities, but to the people, because the caregivers and team are what make the difference. For us, it mattered that my dad felt seen and valued as a person, not just as a resident.- Thanks

The quality of the nursing CNA staff and facility overall. Yes I would recommend the community to other families, but would not rate the administration staff higher than a 3.

My mom has a one bedroom apartment with a balcony. It is nice she enjoys the balcony. Mom has memory problems and catheter. She has forgotten to go eat but my brother gave her an Alzheimer clock and she needs to turn off reminders. The dining room is good and the staff caters to the residents and tries to remember preferences. The family days are nice and our family has visited with mom. The entertainment and meeting each other is good. Mom was very sick and staff helped direct us to hospital. Mom tends to call me instead of using button which was a problem after hours.

Available Drs, hair salon, free laundry. Transportation for shopping. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience so far.

Staff was excellent at providing information, but often difficult to reach if I called in with questions or updates. There is one main phone line, no phone menu to contact specific staff members. Have to depend on whoever answers the phone to get a message to the person you are trying to reach. Overall, I was pleased with the care given to my mother.

The people and staff and American House MT. Prospect really care and take care of me even though I need a lot of help! Lots of empathy.

The facility was very nice, and the employees were very nice, but they are not a skilled facility, and they make sure the patients they select need minimal care. When the level of care changes, the price changes. The price will change quickly and a lot in memory care. Also, if the patient goes to the hospital and have a medical event they will not take them back if they need too much care because it is only assisted living for patients that need minimal care.

The staff were very good and very helpful. The one thing I would have appreciated would be the food. I do not eat meat and since the menu has meat dishes and very few meatless dishes, I find that I must make and eat my food in my apt. Some meatless dishes would be so great.

Most staff is good. Some very caring. One was on the borderline of abusive in my opinion. They are short staff and slow to answer help button. Very expensive but they did try to work with us on making the price affordable. My mom hates it but that's because she doesn't like having to be in a facility. For the most part I think they have done well. They just don't have enough help for the price we pay. Every time I've reported a concern they did look into it right away. (They could use more parking and closer to the door. It's a long walk from your car)

The staff is very caring and supportive. I would give them a 9 on a 1-10 scale. Activities are good when happening. I'm referring to the Memory Care Unit. The food is plentiful and looks good! This is for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Snacks are at 10am, 2pm and before bedtime!

Everything was very good, the food the staff, and the activities. They took excellent care of my dad. The only complaint I had was with the business manager. My dad had long term care insurance and the business manager never filled out the necessary paperwork for reimbursement even after numerous requests. It didn't really turn into a big issue because there was a 60 day waiting period for benefits to kick in and he passed away before that time. She was not friendly or helpful.

The staff there is always very friendly when we come to visit but more importantly they are always very kind to my mom when we are not there. The facility is always very clean. Also, a lot of carpeting has been replaced with hardwood floors which makes the facility overall cleaner. I had two concerns about the facility under its previous ownership: lack of activities during the day and my mother's clothes getting mixed up in the laundry and ending up in other residents' closets. Since American House has taken over I have seen improvement in both of these concerns.

When [name removed] was there he fell on 2 different occasions and they didn't get to him quickly. He said there for a long time He had to go to the rehab and the Doctor there told us not to send him back because they weren't able to watch him close enough. So we brought him back home. They had 1 person being responsible for too many people and we didn't feel it was as good as they described it to be. It would be better for someone that didn't need as much care.
