American House

Our loved one has done very well since the move to American House Cedarlake. The community at American House is very well kept throughout. They do a good job of keeping the community nicely cleaned. Our loved one is enjoying the variety of meals served.

My mom loved this community and adored the staff. She loved the meals that were made. She enjoyed the activities and we had no problems with the cleanliness of the community. However, we had to move due to the financial part, her assistance was not accepted.

My brother is doing wonderful here at this community. He has adjusted very well to it, and I'am pleased. This is a great community, they do a good job with the cleanliness. The staff is nice and friendly. There are nice activities offered. He is very pleased with the meals. I know he is in good hands here. Overall I'am pleased and recommend this community.

The facility and people that work here are fantastic. Justin was passionate about his work and it shows. All the residents and staff like him very much. The food was first class and the grounds too. Wanted my mom to get a room here, but we did not want to wait for a 1 bedroom to open up. Too bad, she would have loved it.

We toured the community on 6/6/16 for my husband's father. We loved your community and thought it would be a great fit for him. We are hoping to have Dad call your community home. We toured with Linda and she did a great job. Everything is so clean and the staff we met was very friendly. Good Job, American House Milford! :)

Both of my parents are at this community. The staff is excellent and doing everything to help them adjust in there new home. The food is great and they are offered a good variety in the meals. A large range of activities are offer to them both, but at this time they are still adjusting to the new surroundings here. I would recommend this for the value and the excellent care here.

The tour of Elmcroft of Barlett went well for the family. It was very quick but the family was able to receive all the necessary information that was needed. The community was clean and the staff personal that was around was friendly. I would recommend a tour of the community to friends and family there was a great atmosphere around.

My mom is doing fine in her new home. She is able to go to some activities and she tries to enjoy some but she is not able to hear well. I think the food is fine for my mom. She occupies her time well and I take her out through out the week.

I can't begin to say how wonderful this community has been to my mother. She is doing great and is really healthy. The physical therapist that is working with her is doing an awesome job. The admissions people are great they always answer my questions and are always available. A highly recommended community for families that want a positive atmosphere for their loved ones.

The communication with the staff is great. They update with me everyday regarding my father. The community is kept clean and organized. The meals that he eats so far he has mentioned that they are okay. I feel that he is in a safe and positive environment.

The tour I had at this community was good for me. I was able to see what they have to offer. The community was a bigger facility and I felt it was impersonal. My brother needed more support for his care. This was not a good fit for my brother.

My grandma is doing wonderful, since moving into American House Cottage Senior Living. I am pleased with the care and communication that the staff offer. The community offers frequent activities for the residents to enjoy. My grandma enjoys the variety of food choices.

Cottonwood Manor is the best thing that every happened for my dad. He has been there since October of 2015. He previously lived alone for many years, but is thriving on the community atmosphere and the great staff. He has early/mild dementia and they are so well trained in the care of this disease. He also has not eaten this well in years. Even he will say what a wonderful place it is and hopes he can stay there " until I die".

My tour at this community went good. The staff and everything seemed to be fine. I would have chose this community but the distance was too far when needing to visit.

The experience for my mom has been very great! I have no negative things to say about this community. It is over and beyond clean. The meals provided are very good. My mom is enjoying all kinds of activities. This is a community that I would recommend!

My dad is now living here and it has been fine for my dad and I. He is in a safe and caring environment. There are no problems at being clean with the facility. The food taste good to us. There are activities available but dad chooses not to partake. I would recommend this community to family and friends.

Mom is in the memory care unit and the staff are very attentive and helpful to my mom. They make sure she eats and takes her to participate in some of the activities offered. The staff keep me updated on the care of my mom. The community is kept clean and I would recommend it.

Dad was only at American House for 10 days for a respite stay but while he was there things were great. The staff and the food were wonderful. They had a lot of activities available and the community was nice. They do not take medicaid but I would recommend this community.

American House is like a big happy family. The staff are well trained and know how to hold and communicate with Dementia residents. Mom says the food is good and she is now eating 3 times a day. They encourage her to participate in activities and she also likes an exercise class. She has become more outgoing and I would recommend this community.

Everything seems to be fine, it looks always clean and maintained. The staff are so caring, attentive, and the staff seem to really care. Dad has since been thriving and getting a lot better with the stimulating activities. He has gone on a road-trip, dined out, gardening, and joining music programs. My dad seems to pleased with his meals, at times he says it too much. From my last experience, this community is much better and I would recommend this community.
