American House

I was very apprehensive about moving my mom from her current Assisted Living to American House but due to the already high and escalating costs of her apartment, it was a "must do". I am a nurse so I look at things a little differently. I must say I believe the care to be equal and in some ways much better than where she was. They have great activities and outing. Yhe facility is easy ti navigate and mom has dementia. I was able to apply for a Michigan Medicaid waiver which covers all of her personal care and a portion of her apartment fee. I am very pleased and the staff is warm and friendly??

Heaven on Earth!! The food, apartments, care and genuine concern for elderly care is superior. My mother moved in on December – 10, 2016 and passed away January 26, 2017. We were treated like royalty in that very short amount of time as mom’s primary care given, I will always take comfort knowing she had the best.

I have been a resident here for two months now and am mot pleased in all categories. It meet or surpasses my expectations in all areas.

Everything is working out very well for my mother with her move to this community. They have a great staff here, so I know she is in good hands. This is a nice, safe community, I'am satisfied with her move here. They have nice outings outside the community, and other great activities. She has gotten involved in some of the activities they offer. I've tired some of the meals, and the food is good. I have already recommended this community to my friends. It is nice facility.

Great, friendly, apartments are roomy, 2 swimming pools (just none indoors), good menues, crafts are my thing (the director has a great variety to work with). Plus, the residents have many areas/activities where they can have their hands in operating and maintaining themselves.

My mother was here for 9 days before she passed. The staff treated her very well and tired really hard to get her better. They were very supportive and kind during this difficult time.

I am very pleased with the care and attention my loved one gets at American House. Every area from office & management to nursing to housecleaning has provided good care and seems to pay attention to (and look out for) my loved one. I like the variety of activities provided and the food seems to be good (and better than previously provided).

We are happy with the care at this community. The staff is very nice and caring. They have an excellent variety of good meals that my father in law does enjoy. The do have activities for those who want to participate. We would recommend other families to this beautiful community for the care and value.

I really have not been there a lot to know much, but mom says that she likes it here. She said that she loves her apartment and the things that they have for her to do. The community is very lovely and it is clean all the time.

I really like living at this good community. They keep the community is very clean and taken care of. I do like that they are helpful for therapy. The meals that are served are very good, but I do like that I can cook for myself. I do like getting to know a lot of the other residents since I kist moved into a new home. I will recommend other to come here for a new place to live with good care and a good value.

My parents are doing very well since their move to this community. They love it here, and I'am pleased with all they have done for us. They have a lovely meal program, and the food is good. The staff is very friendly, they have been good to work with. They even have nice little bistro for the residents, and guest. It is a well-kept community, they do a good job with keeping everything nice, and clean. I know they are in a nice, safe community, and I would recommend it.

I am very impressed with the American house when you walk in you can feel that it is sunny, bright and well lit. They have so many activities available at all times. I think it is so cute how the residents give me updates on how she is doing. They do an excellent job with the security, cleanliness, and meals. She is participating in the exercise programs. It has been a positive experience so far.

My parents went here for a respite stay and they loved it. The food was good and the people were very nice and helped them with everything. They really liked it and so did we. If I could I would of sent my parents here.

These folks are great! Would highly recommend!

I really like this community. Unfortunately I'am currently in rehab, but once I get better I will return to this community. This is a smaller community compared to other, but it isn't so overwhelming. The staff is outstanding, they are very polite and respectful. This community has a good positive atmosphere. There are great activities available. I can not wait to get better, and return to this community. It is a great place.

Things are going great for my mom, she loves it there! It's a wonderful community and they're amazing. The place is clean and a little dated but it's not a big deal because they have great caregivers and staff, I would much rather good people taking care of my mother than a new nice place. If my mother gets hungry and want's a snack, they make her a pb&j which is perfect for her. They also have ice cream socials and a lot of other activities she really enjoys. She is in the memory care unit, and it is small but she received personable attention.

My mother in law loves it here at this community. She is really enjoying her time here. We were concerned at first, because she wasn't a very socializing person, but she has made many new friends. That is very surprising, and nice to see. My wife is very impressed with this community. Everything is very well-kept. It is a good, safe community, and I would recommend it. It has worked out very well for our family.

The staff is good, they have been friendly and polite. They are very good at keeping me up to date with information about my father. There are plenty of activities available for the residents. The meals are nice, he is pleased with the meals. This community is a good fit for him and his needs. I would recommend it.

Very nice property. Love the fact that it is on one floor. Memory care on site is also a plus. Very clean and friendly staff with low turnover.

My mother seems to be doing very well since her move to this community. It is a really a good place with caring people. She has been improving overall since her move here, and that is great to see. This is a very nice community with a caring staff. They are taking very good care of all her needs. I do not have to worry about her anymore. They have provided me a peace of mind knowing she is being cared for well. She has a very nice apartment, and this community is a good fit for her. I would recommend it.
