American House

Our last "home sweet home" on earth. We're family here. It's like being on vacation for the last 20 months. Nothing to do but enjoy life. No worries, stress, or fears. No honey do's or household maintenance. The staff here is the BEST EVER!

I have lived here 8 months. Everything and everyone is great. Staff are all helpful, friendly and eager to help residents.

The people that work here wonderful to me. I'm just sad I had to give up my condo and don't have the freedom I used to have. I know this is the best for me but I can get used to ut. I have wonderful friends that help take care of me. But not my family.

It is kept very clean. Everyone has been friendly. The staff has been very helpful. I enjoy living here.

The community is super friendly. This is a great place to take your parents. The cleanliness in excellent. You feel comfortable when you are are there. This is 24 hour care, and I have peace of mind knowing my parents are being well cared for. My parents have a life now, due to residents around the same age they can talk with.

My loved one is very happy with the staff and care she is receiving. I would recommend American House to my friends.

[name removed] and I had a great virtual tour using Zoom. I hope we can make the money part work on the shared memory care. My husband is very interested in visiting the facility in person and meeting [name removed] the director too. [name removed] did an awesome job on the tour and answered my questions with a great deal of understanding of our needs.

We are happy with the results so for at Anthology at Burlington Creek. The new director has done an outstanding job, the staff has been very good and my parents feel that they made the right choice. The smaller size of the facility has also been very beneficial.

My siblings and I are very sad to see our father move from this facility. They really do treat you like family and the staff is very accomodating and super nice. With Covid-19 and his health conditions, we had to move our father to have basically 24-hour care. This was our first experience and we were very impressed. Thank you!

Our father was at the American House for less than a year. Give him so much independence in the Assisted Living part after my mother passed away and adjusted great because the staff was exceptional from marketing, [name removed], maintenance, [name removed]. The medical team and the kitchen - everyone was so wonderful and like family and they treated you like family. There's so many to thank. Then COVID-19 happened and my dad needed more care. High recommended.

Our family lost our mother in Sept. 2019 and our father was unable to stay alone in his condo. Our father was diagnosed with dementia and late-onset Alzheimers but we still wanted our father to keep some of his independence. My sister and I visited the A.H. Southgate and were so impressed. All the staff welcomed our father into their community like he was family. I can't say enough about the whole staff [names removed] and the medical team staff. They all helped our dad keep his independence for almost a year before moving into a memory care facility. The care and concern that everyone had for our father was amazing! Our experience was great!

Very satisfied with all the employees. Our current ED - [name removed] is wonderful at answering any questions we may have.

My father currently likes it at American House Bonita Springs and I couldn't be happier with the care provided to my father. Everyone there is extremely caring and goes out of their way for my dad's needs. If you are looking for a community... this is the one!

My brother lived in the Assisted Living. The staff are very caring. It felt like family. Five star.

American House is a 10 out of 10. 1st. The staff here is fantastic. They are very attentive in assisting with all dad's needs. 2nd. The place is like being at a 5 star resort. They have a dining hall that the residents gather for meals and all important conversation and friendships are made. The dining staff wait on them and they have a menu to order from with choices to please any palette. Dad has enjoyed meals including prime rib, lobster, shrimp and ice cream 3rd. They keep everyone busy with activities they even have a theater, salon and pool.

First of all , I have to recommend A Place For Mom [name removed] is wonderful. I honestly could not have done this without them. We are so pleased with ElmCroft , mom is in the memory care side and we love all the staff and the facility. Private bathroom was important, especially with the Covid -19 . Mom is doing great and all the staff cares and keep our family informed, so personal, they send me pictures of activities , and keep us informed on even the smallest update. I know we are in good hands and that is so comforting.

Mom told me on Thursday “all I know is I’m really happy”. To me that says it all. I’m still not convinced on the monthly rate, but Mom is happy and that’s all I care about!

We love the people at Elmcroft of West Knoxville. They love and take great care of our parents.

No socializing because of virus

My folks were and are very happy with AmericanHouse Charlevoix. My mother said in almost every phone call, “ they take such good care of us here.” When she was clearly in her last few weeks, they were extraordinarily kind and thoughtful. Now dad is there on his own in a wheelchair, and everyone is patient and good to him. By now people know his needs, and what impresses me is they will do the little extra things he needs without being asked. Little things like making sure a few tomato juices and cokes are in the refrigerator, that his electronics are charging and working, that he has a couple tissues within easy reaching distance, taking wrappers and lids off of things before handing them to him. This is more important than it seems, because dad hates to seem like a nuisance asking for help all the time. Well, the staff goes out of their way to make sure he doesn’t feel that way, by doing everything they can think of without having to be asked. Our family is very appreciative.
