Very personable staff that feel like family. The care team is new so I think they are still adjusting. The food is amazing but be prepared for your biggest meal to be lunch, not dinner.

Recently, I visited six different assisted living facilities in my general area on behalf of my 93 year-old mother. Out of the six facilities, American House was definitely my first choice. Not only was it warm and inviting, it was the best value and I believe it will satisfy all of my mother‘s needs. My mother is a very social and active 93 year-old, and the number of activities offered each day will definitely keep her very busy. [name removed], the Community Relations Director, was a joy to work with and was always very accommodating and gracious in all of our interactions. I truly believe I made the right choice in choosing American House for my mother.

What we like the most about the community is the Proximity to my house, great staff and always festive décor for holidays, really good food and easy to come and go.

They would keep her until her end of life. I would definitely recommend

They really worked with us. They are a little more expensive than some places but I think you get your moneys worth. They have a very professional staff and they do make family members feel good about the place.

The facility was great and very accommodating. My Friend only stayed one night. Would recommend them to anyone. The limited stay was related to inability to adjust to the setting not the facility.

We liked the dining style food service-order off the menu. [name removed] was very gracious and helpful during our two tours. The welcome with our family name on the sign at the assessment was a very nice touch.

The staff is very friendly always there to help you.

[name removed] was the best in assisting us in entering American House. She went over and beyond to help in any way. [name removed] in the dementia unit has been a God Send for my wife care.

They are real good to me. Staff is good to me.

This place is number 1 and I don't know why anybody would want to live anywhere else.

Home is where the heart is the staff residents and guest enjoy being apart of the community. The atmosphere is pleasant and inviting. When guest family visit they can't believe it is so.

My sister and I recently toured the Livonia location of American house. [name removed] was very helpful and kind in answering all our questions as this is the first time we’ve done this for our mother. The residents and staff seemed happy and the facility was clean and nice.

I am basing my rating with American House on my knowledge of them in 2024. My friend who was at American House was transferred to another facility. The community is bright and cheerful, spotlessly clean. Adequately staffed. Residents seemed content. Nice menus in dining room.

The leadership and team at American House Somerset are exceptional, and their commitment to quality care really sets the community apart. It’s a place where families can feel confident that their loved ones are in great hands.

The staff. My parents are left to live independently, but know they have someone to go to if they need anything. The activities are great along with family day each month. Bingo is a huge hit for my parents. Basically, they are very comfortable living there, which is super important to us. Improvements are specific to my parents' apartment. The carpet could be replaced, and outside their patio door, the grass is very sparse and unkempt compared to the front of the building. Overall, we couldn't be happier. Having the larger rooms for family events is also a huge plus.

Very good experience living here I enjoy the entertainment the meals great staff very friendly always going out of their way to help. I am very pleased where I live. I cannot ask for anything better especially around the holiday season. They are doing a lot of exciting things around the community.

I like the activities and I eat very well! I have lots of new friends. The building is clean and my apartment is very big. The staff is really nice! My children helped me find my new home and I like it here.
