American House

Our experience at American House Cedarlake has been exceptional. My dad started out in the independent living area, but he had to move over to assisted living due to his declining health. The administration acted quickly to get him an apartment and the staff assisted us in moving all of his things into his assisted living apartment. They all worked to make this stressful situation easier on him and on us. The nursing staff is knowledgeable and compassionate. We couldn't be happier with the care our dad is receiving.

They are good for what they are for my parents the price is good for them they can afford it with no help from me and they have nurse help to there so that helps out alot they are there for my parents in no time

Place is spotless, the staff appears friendly and caring. They have social activities for residents which is a plus. Dining area is cheerful and food is adequate.

We would recommend the facility. Park place worked out for my Dad. We only wish the staff would have somehow introduced my Dad to more residents.

The administrative staff was very nice, very friendly and helped so much with some of the problems. The chef sat down and helped with any dietary issues. The residents are encouraged to do any of the multiple activities. There is something to do every day. The staff takes time to get to know the residence and their family. The facility is very clean. The administrative staff really tries to help with the transition into the facility. They even touched base with me when my mom was in the hospital and came to visit.

I'm basing on a visit to the ladies we helped move in. They have adjusted well and said staff is very friendly and willing to help with all their needs! Yes, we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience so far.

All I can say is this facility is outstanding. The staff is awesome! I am so glad we decided to make American House my dad's home. Price, the beautiful private rooms with kitchen facility, friendliness is what stuck out.

The American House at Bloomfield Village has a friendly, caring staff who take a lot of pride in their beautiful well maintained facility. They were helpful in selecting an apartment, scheduling the move-in and b getting settled into a new routine. I highly recommend to a senior who is ready to make a move and is looking for a warm, welcoming alternative to a larger apartment or home. The dining room meal service is a real plus - delicious and convenient!

The life enrichment director is phenomenal. She plans a lot of nice activities and tries to get everyone involved. The biggest issue is that my mom has been having a problem in her apartment that I have reported several times. They send the maintenance director, he can't find the problem, and it is not getting resolved.

My tour of the facility was a very pleasant experience. The facility was clean and well appointed. [name removed] was very professional and knowledgable. She offered some great advise and tips.

It starts with the Executive Director, who leads by example here at American House. Where ever she is needed, she jumps in and excels. Whether it's in the kitchen, cooking, helping a new resident adjust, or putting out small "brush fires", she's there. I even caught her pushing a big buffing machine, polishing the new hallways flooring. During the recent ice storm and power shortage her leadership allowed everyone to relax and get through it. She hires good people, prepares them for expectations and then gets out of way so they can perform--the perfect "Head Coach". Her pleasant personality sells American House to everyone.........

American House Meridian in Haslett has been wonderful. Would recommend for anyone who has the resources to pay for it. The cost is very reasonable for the care they get

My husband and I just moved into viva, but we have been volunteering here with our church for over 10 years. This community has the most welcoming and warm staff. We had been into all the senior livings in Oak Ridge but none of them were like viva. We are so pleased with the food. the service, and the cleanliness of the building very far priced for the value.

The care from the staff is excellent. Administration has something to be desired for.

Although I have only been able to visit the facility once, my brother has been several times and noted how clean the facility has been. So for each area noted, I would give 5's for all 8 areas.

What we like the most about the American House Lebanon community is that it is small and well staffed. Yes ,we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

My father in law does not like the food menu. Otherwise all 5. He says that the food is bland, but we would recommend American House Hendersonville to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

Toured facility and viewed 2 units with interest of probably moving to American House Charlevoix. Very impressed with everything. Neat. clean, happy residents and employees. Lunch was very good and well served. Did not participate in any activities since just visiting.

The staff. Including[ names removed] have were incredible. They went above and beyond to help my father and insure his care. All the staff were pleasant and took the time to know my father.

My mother has enjoyed the facility. She's very shy and she was given an ambassador who helped her socialize. She was given a group of ladies to eat with so she didn't feel awkward during meals. That was my main concern because I'd heard terrible stories about people being ostracized so I was relieved that they placed an emphasis on helping my mother fit in. Overall a good experience.
