American House

I have been living at Sterling Woods for over 2 years and everything is wonderful. The chef [name removed] is really good. She makes good food. All of the staff is wonderful as well. I would not change anything about this facility

Very nice I am happy I'm here, [name removed] does such a good job with all the nice events. Very comfortable here. Am able to have my pet [name removed] Yorkie with me. Her name is [name removed]. My home is in Arizona. My nephews live in this area so I am near family who are on both sides of the border.

Nice place to live people are friendly From the residence to the workers. Food is really good Fun, creative activities, and exciting outings. I moved here. The staff have been extremely nice to me. I am happy where I’m at. Everyone here is warm and friendly. The facility is always clean and smell good.

I'm happy for being here. I injoy being here.I have been here for 3 months at this American House in Sterling Heights. It has been a positive experience. The staff has been great. They are all very supportive.

We have been so pleased in every way with American House. I honestly have to rank every category as a 5. My mother in law has been given excellent care. She is happy and enjoys the activities and the staff. She is always clean (this was not the case at all in the facility she came from). She always tells us how good the food is, lol. Hannah and her staff are wonderful about communicating with us. We are so very grateful to have her staying at American House.

I have recently toured several facilities for a family member and always come back to American House and comparing every place to American House. The staff is involved and a ray of sunshine to the residents. The residents are friendly and collaborate well. They hold great events for the residents and events the residents can have their families at as well. American House is clean, well maintained and cozy. There are facilities out there much newer and bigger, but that does not always mean homely and cozy like American House.

I helped my friend move into Village at Bloomfield a few months ago. While he was very happy at a previous American House, this facility was built with all the latest luxuries including a full kitchen, huge bathroom, lighted closet, a private balcony and your own furnace & AC. The staff are all beautiful people who are warm, welcoming and professional as they take care of everything. The dining room serves up delicious food three times a day. The facility is so beautiful and all rooms are Ada approved. You must visit to appreciate.

Caring family atmosphere, both amongst staff and residents, the look of the apartments, the help I received from the staff, and price. It was a great experience overall.

Staff and Residents are so nice. The food is nutritious and very good. It is clean and I have not experienced any odors. Fun activities for residents daily. I would highly recommend this facility.

American House - Grand Blanc is a beautiful, clean and cheerful Assisted Living. The first thing that I noticed, when I walked into the community, was the group of residents sitting in the foyer laughing and sharing a story over coffee. The staff is incredibly loving and kind. They are attentive to the residents and going over and above to make them comfortable in their apartment. The meals are nutritious, and they offer a wide variety activities, field trips, and monthly family parties. They offer a full continuum of care, so this can be your forever home. When talking to families about placement for their loved one, I will be recommending American House - Grand Blanc. If I could give them 10 stars, I would!!! I know if you choose American House -Grand Blanc, you will be happy with your decision to call it home.

So happy I was able to able to make it out to the building. I have worked with many of the American houses over the years, it was great to finally see this building. Everyone there is super friendly and very nice and the building was clean!! Stopping in tour!!

Enjoyed my visit at the community. I was able to have breakfast. The omelets were delicious. Great atmosphere. The residents looked happy and were engaged. Close to downtown, easy to find. Great staff.

The staff and residents here at American House Grand Blanc are amazing and truly make it feel like home. The community did some renovations that look amazing. If you’re looking for a community in Grand Blanc this is where you want to be.

My mom lived with my sister and needed to relocate when my sister passed away. My wife and I have had steady experience with independent living through other family members, so we had a good understanding of how American House Lakeshore could be a great fit for Mom. American House Lakeshore ranks among the very best independent living providers we’ve experienced across Florida, Indiana, and Michigan. The amenities and community are impressive, the facility is clean and safe, and AH offers a host of engaging and fun activities for residents. [name removed] and [name removed] have been outstanding in their respective roles representing American House. I truly appreciate their thoughtfulness, responsiveness, and empathy — and for generally making everything easy for Mom and me during a stressful time.

Excellence starts at the top. I have been a resident at American House Keene since 2016. I have enjoyed living here, we have a wonderful Director and wonderful staff. I have enjoyed many activities over the years, as well as culinary. The most important is the care given with love and the safety you feel,. Thank you, you are all great and appreciated.

Every time that I have visited everyone has been pleasant, my moms room has been clean. [name removed] the activities director is amazing! She keeps me posted and send photos of the events. Everyone that has visited her has been very pleased!

My parents moved into American House Lakeshore after weighing all their options over a few months. [name removed] was extremely helpful, flexible, and responsive answering all our questions and making sure everyone felt comfortable about moving in. Since then, my parents have adjusted fairly quickly for a couple in their mid 80s. They love to sit outside on the expansive front porch and look at the lake. They even have a slice of a lake view from their apartment. While the entire building is lovely (and smells nice!), the staff make it even better. The single point of contact, the front desk, for most everything is very easy for them. The twice monthly housekeeping is reliable and takes this burden off my mom. They seem pleased with the meals and enjoy having the menu in their apartment so they can pick what they want before they go.
